I’ve been so uninspired lately. 😭 Might be time for another drawing meme? Anyone have any suggestions for “draw your otp” kinda memes or anything like that?

Alright instead of rageposting about white people perpetuating racism problems in cnovel/cdrama fandoms I've channeled my feels into cleaning up some shit I've been doing a bad job at maintaining and feeling horribly guilty about for months or even years. This is probably a healthier use of my current "fuck it." So, for reference, I've:
deleted the kink meme part of the DMBJ kink meme on AO3. This means that the prompts and sign ups and claims are now gone (I'm sorry I didn't give people time to save their prompts, but the reason I didn't do this months ago was that it had many steps and I was being useless about DOING those steps and as I said in the intro paragraph, I'm now at "fuck it" and like. if I can't do it "the right way" I'm today just breaking and doing it "the wrong way" and here we are). The collection and the ten stories in it still exists and anonymity and such are still maintained for people who wanted it, but new prompts and new fills cannot be submitted.
ditto the above for the kink meme part of the SPN kink meme on AO3. The prompts and sign ups and claims are now gone. I also removed myself administrating the Tumblr, though the other two people involved (fpwoper and envydean) do still have access. I realized belatedly that I really should have offered to just leave and let them have it but, again, today is apparently "fuck it" day which means I'm not thinking through the ramifications of my actions which has resulted in some bad fandom citizenry behavior on my part, and again, I truly do apologize. (I've offered to help them reconstruct the challenge part if either of them wants to run it; fpwoper has already said no, I'll see what envydean says and I'll apologize profusely even more and do what I can do fix things if envydean DOES want to take over and make it active again). The collection and the stories written for it still exist; that's about 40 works. Thanks to everyone who participated.
I left @saawek's Star of Solitude event, which I helped run a year and a half ago. Saawek hasn't really been active on Tumblr, but hun if you see this it's nothing at all about you or TGCF I'm just pulling back from things that even seeing them in my blog list has been causing me stress on the daily.
I formally announced that I'll be consolidating @zhenhunartreblogs and @dmbjartreblogs in @cnovelartreblogs, and I've posted to that effect in all three blogs. If you want Zhenhun/Guardian and DMBJ art content from my sideblogs, unfollow the old blogs and follow at cnovelartreblogs, and just black list fandoms you're not interested in - that's the whole reason I tag everything.
I deleted another side blog I haven't been using.
I'm considering deleting @memesforwriters, which I only update maybe once a month, and honestly just typing all this up has I think tipped me over into "fuck it" and I'm going to delete that too. I expect I'll instead reblog relevant memes to the @duckprintspress account, since I have to maintain that regardless.
My last remaining completely inactive Tumblr sideblog is where I'd posted on translated chapter the 2ha manhua. I really would like to be doing more work like that, though hell if I know when I'll have time; I renamed that blog to @unforthfantranslations, and I have vague hopes to translate more of 2ha and to tackle Lie Huo Jiao Chou (which I've never read any version of and would like to). But tbh I probably won't manage any progress on any of that until the fall.
Nothing like a pile of grief to make me say "I'm done feeling guilty about this stuff, like is too short, fuck it I'm gonna make these changes I've been waffling about for ages."
P. S. I opened another window to check how exactly I'd renamed the translation blog and while I had it opened I decided on a compromise with memesforwriters, which is that I'm exporting it, and THEN I'll delete it. And I DMed the Destiel Harlequin mods that I'm done and think we should shut it down. And I spotted a couple Discord servers I'm going to leave.
So yeah. that's the mood today in a (rather large and overly wordy) nutshell.
Apparently when I said yesterday that I'd be quiet, I failed to take into account how I ACTUALLY process grief. In my defense, this is only the...fourth?...time someone I really care about has died in my entire life. (counts of...Arthur, Gil, my grandfather, yeah that's three...of course other people I've cared about have died but no one who I loved and who I felt "I wish I had more time with this person." Like...I wish I'd had more time with Belle but I didn't love her...yeah I'm just babbling now I'm sorry I'm like this today.)
ETA: okay I just left like 6 Discord servers I haven't been using, too. There's only one I'm still like "maybe I shouldn't..." but I know a lot of people in that server and if I really want back in I can ask for invite.

Today's translation #39
Back to Sayo's interviews!
I don't know why I haven't noticed it before but the very first Sayo's interview from Pash! 05/2017 is exactly the same interview that is included in Go Yuri Go!!! official fanbook. There are however two additional questions, so I translated them as an appendix to the fanbook interview.
Q: Please tell us about the live reading event [Yuri!!! on Stage] that is scheduled for April 29th!
Me and Kubo-san has compiled ideas for the story, but I managed to get Ueno Kimiko-san to write the screenplay for us - even among all my colleagues, she's the person who can write the craziest stories. We have worked together on Space☆Dandy (2014), but I heard she's watched Yuri!!! and enjoyed it until the end. I think the event's story is probably going to be wild (laugh).
Q: Please tell us also about what are we going to see from Yuri!!! in the future.
The extra footage added to the last DVD/Blu-ray and Kubo-san's manga, a bonus for those who bought all DVDs/Blu-rays are amazing! You'll hear about the details very soon, but I think especially fans of Yurio and Otabek will be very happy. Also, we added footage of voice over recording of Stephane Lambiel who appeared in the last episode. This is a very precious footage taken by me with an iPad during voice over recording! Hiramatsu Tadashi-san (character design, animation director) and Ito Noriko-san (animation supervisor) are currently working very hard on making revisions to the last two episodes and are redrawing an absurd number of frames. There isn't even a single Victor frame where he doesn't look beautiful in the DVD/Blu-ray version. In general, this version is quite well brushed up! Also, there are moments when the relationships between characters may perhaps seem a bit different in this version. So if you are still wondering if you should get it, I'd say you should! Thank you very much!
(Notes:
Quite funny how much Sayo was avoiding interviews! Her interview from Febri is also used like at least 3 times in 3 different places… xD
Of course she was ultra busy - majority of YoI fandom seems to think Kubo is the main creator of the show, but Kubo herself said that she didn't participate that much in the process of actually animating the final version of the show…
Still, if you ask me it's quite clear Sayo wasn't very thrilled to talk to otaku magazines lol. The longer, more in-depth interviews were published in much more fancy art/culture kind of magazines (Febri, Kikan Esu). The Pash! interview was published in April 2017, and first Kubo interview is from September 2016… It means Sayo managed to avoid giving any interviews for around 7 months XD
I love her sm ✨)

The Great Blank Spot @high-queen-margo
So much goes into creating fanfiction even before the first words hit the paper. And in-depth spotlight on our writers and the process behind their work.
Tumblr media
Tell us about your current project.  I'm currently writing Timeline 25 for the 39 Graves Project! I've split the timeline into two parts: Julia and Margo. Julia's half explores her time at Brakebills  leading up to her death and the Beast's first visit. In Margo's half, she picks up Julia's place by Quentin's side to find Fillory while Brakebills seems to fall apart around her.
The fics are finally posted fromThe Trials. Did you participate? I signed up, but unfortunately I was in my last semester at college and I just didn't have time to put in the work, so I had to withdraw!
What is your current word count? 21,659
Do you try to write daily? Do you have a word count or other goals you try to hit for each writing session? I try to write daily! Sometimes it doesn't work, but I do my best. My general goal is 500 words a day, but some days I struggle to hit it while other days I can manage up to 1,500.
What was the inspiration for this fic?  The entire fic is built off of the stipulations I was given for my timeline, so I'd say that's my main inspiration! Other than that, I just do what I think would be interesting.
How do you stay motivated between chapters/stories? I watch the show. A lot. It also helps to talk to my friends about what I'm doing with it; they're very supportive!
Did this fic require any research? How much research do you typically do for your fics? Only the show's lore and details, other than a little bit of looking into Columbia University--that level of research is about normal for my fics. I thought I had everything nailed down months ago, but I still notice a detail or make a connection I hadn't realized before and need to go back and tweak everything to fit. I realize it's not going to be perfect, but being as true to the show as possible is part of what makes this so challenging and so rewarding!
Do you typically write ahead or post as you go? I don't normally do multi-chapter fics anymore, but when I did, I'd write ahead at first, get impatient, and then post the chapters faster than I could write more. And I never ended up finishing! I'm definitely more of a oneshot kind of girl.
How much planning and outlining did you do before you started putting words on paper? Almost three full pages worth of a bullet outline, which is absolutely wild to me. I've never planned or outlined a fic before in my life. The amount of twisting and turning different plot events trying to get everything to click made it impossible to write without an outline, though, and I felt much better about tackling the fic once I did it.
Has it been pretty smooth sailing or rough waters? When things get rocky, how do you handle needing to rewrite sections or scrap scenes entirely? It was rough for a long time, but I think I'm getting into the swing of things! I started out switching between points of view whenever it felt necessary, then I scrapped it entirely and chose three points of view to do separately, then dropped one. It's a lot of grappling with which events the readers need to see and which characters would conceivably be there for them. When I rewrite or scrap a section, I copy/paste it into a different document in case I want it back later. I still have several pages of Alice's point of view that I won't be able to use, but I'm keeping it around to help me when I end up writing the same events from Julia and Margo's points of view.
Teaser Margo sighed and sat down next to Alice. “Okay,” she said, “Eliot and Todd are off getting help, and I don’t think that thing is coming back, so start from the beginning.”
Alice nodded. “My brother, Charlie, he…he died here at Brakebills, years ago, and I wanted to know why. And I thought, you know, when I saw Marina at alumni week…she’s supposed to be so good at everything. I mean, she’s one of Brakebills’ greatest Knowledge students. If anyone could help me find Charlie, it was her.”
“But she didn’t choose you,” Margo said. “She chose Julia, didn’t she?”
“I swear,” Alice said, “I swear she wasn’t supposed to get hurt. She offered to help, and she adapted this ritual for two people, and it looked right. It felt right, at first. But it wasn’t, and I think I knew that, and I just kept going. She stopped and tried to stop me but we were so close to finishing and I just…I just kept going. The wards went down. Just for a few moments.”
“And he got in,” Margo said.
