nvfr fans are so scary like if they minded their own buisness like some other freakazoids do I wouldnt gaf THAT much but they are fr acting like their STRAIGHT ship is as implied as eimiko, beiguang, guiping etc like its so fucking crazy. ignoring the fact that its basically french zh/o/ngtao its also insane to say that a straight ship has to be implied considering they wouldnt even need to censor it in the first place. they want what clorivia has sooo bad

Sorry i hate nvfr with a passion because you have to be brain dead to miss the point that they're written as an estranged father and daughter duo and that fact coupled with the fact that furina has legit been underage for all the 500 years in which neuvillette has known her makes it literally impossible for it not to be gross. Sorry like nvfr is way WAY worse than zh/ongt/ao to me because of this like... Zho/ngta/o is uncomfortable because it's weird to make her date some old as fuck family acquaintance who's probably known her since she was a baby but nvfr is unmistakably written as familial if you're not stupid.

With this i'm absolutely not saying that i disagree with what you said, because it IS ludicrous AND homophobic and also a weird cope to claim that a straight couple would need to be "implied" due to censorship the way mhy already writes a lot of implied gay romances. And it's also really weird to act like reading their relationship through romantic lenses somehow would make it "deeper" when . Consistently the most compelling relationships in the game so far TO ME have been familial in nature. Due to the fact that family is one of the main fucking overarching themes of the game itself.

Honestly though something that drives me insane about nvfr fans is that the appeal of it to them IS specifically the """ambiguity""" they made up in their heads about whether they're supposed to be familial or not because right after the archon quest finale everyone was writing essays like "ouuugh neuvillette and furina are soooo outside of all relationships definitions they're like father and daughter they're like coworkers they're like lovers etc" which is like do you even hear yourself... Like no offense but if your argument is that this straight ship needs to be "implied" the way gay ones are because it's ""pseudo"" incest you're answering your own question about why everyone else who has basic reading comprehension thinks you're a freak and wants you dead. Which is why that dumb ass pairing is a fucking nightmare to me like the level of denial about their familial relationship status AND the weird fascination with it being ""ambiguously incestuous"" (meaning that it's literally only ambiguous to you if you're fucking stupid) is bordering on becoming a klc situation all over again except this time i can't even go and point to the voicelines where they call each other brothers the way i could do with klc and have to entirely just hope in people's ability to pick up on extremely basic things about their characterization and in genshin fans' reading comprehension which as we all know is piss poor even when things are openly stated.
