since Trent and Colin are in a scene together at a gay club in S3, I think Trent, as a middle-aged gay man will mentor Colin who doesn't know if he should come out since football is so hostile towards gay men. And of course the press eventually catches wind of an AFC Richmond player being seen at a gay club and it culminates in the whole team going to a gay club together to protect and support him, like the way they all went to the funeral of Rebecca's dad, because noone will be able to tell who came as an ally and who's gay and being protected by the team.
