[Spoilers C3E52] A Theory about...

Batteries.

So, been a bit since I went on a theory ramble, but FRIDA and some of the other revelations from last night have got me thinking.

FRIDA states that they think the Gods deserve a Rest and that Mortals have been keeping them "on" forever, powering them with their faith, being used like batteries (A very Arcanum-line of thinking, I think that some bias lasting from that time, regardless of missing memories is still informing their view on the Gods, after all, built and lived in Aeor, the place that was literally out here looking to kill the Gods, Ludinus is Aeorian pass it on).

And while I do not agree with their anger at the Gods or belief that Mortals would be better off without them, I had a realization when those comments were mixed with the revelations of what is occurring at the Maleus Key.

Exaltants are being sent up. Reilora are coming down. Children of Ruidus both, but if the former is becoming the latter has yet to be seen. If they are all malicious has also yet to be seen, but it was stated that Predathos created new life in its image after consuming Ethedok and Vordo(and likely a bit more).

And while FRIDA is looking at the Gods in a very mechanical sense, one can begin to see a thread that tracks with Ludinus's desires and might be true for what Predathos actually wishes.

If the Gods draw power from Mortals, they have been strengthened by them for Millenia, likely being much stronger than when Predathos first came about at the Founding, and while it did take all of the remaining Gods and the Titans to defeat the Beast, the world and the Gods were in their infancy. They have Grown, Changed, Strengthened from that distant beginning.

And how do you weaken a machine and eventually shut it down? You cut the power.

You take away the Batteries.

The world is going to burn. Under the Vanguard, the Call, and the Reilora, they are going to march and attempt to burn out the Faith so that the Gods can more easily become prey for Predathos.

That is my belief. I would love to hear what people think.
