cql has changed the way I view all media forever because now anytime I watch/read/play/etc something I'm like wow us as the viewers would feel so much differently about all of these characters if you just altered the point of view a little bit. the wei wuxian effect

#this isn't even about justification or how if you flipped pov villains would be justified because that's not true at all #it's about how it really Does depend on who's telling the story huh #like so many times the villain Is wrong and that's obvious there's no twisting it the other way #but I bet if they told it from their perspective they could make you believe their collateral was worth it #if you werent omniscient or listening to the hero #and I know much of the point of cql and wwx himself was very much about justification and right and wrong #but so much of it is also going 'how does the camera change when the person telling the story does?' #and I think that's permanently altered my media viewing psyche forever #I'll sit there like oh people would eat the villians story UP if this was Their movie #so shoutout to cql for changing the way I see every story forever #ghost posts #text
