#I'm just taking Moroha and Kirin

If you haven't already read this.
I suggest you do. Like now. Cause this! Cause this WHOLE thing—is such a mess that all I could do was laugh while reading it. Seriously.
In the meantime I'm gonna show you my "favorite" things from it
First off I wanna say is that we right. We right with some the theories, like Treekyo being the villain but they scrapped it and I BET MY SWEET ASS HAG RT FOUGHT HARD SO TREEKYO WASN'T THE VILLAIN. THEY WANTED AN EXCUSE FOR KIKYO TO BE DRAMA AGAIN NOT JUST FOR INUKAG BUT SAUCERIB TOO. Can you imagine how much more hate Kikyo would've gotten and that was really her? Working with pedomaru and all.
Tumblr media
Number 2)
I remember mentioning this a couple of times in my discord. Another thing that was scrapped. Can you imagine how much a certain fandom would seethe if Towa didn't stay with her "biological family" in the feudal era?
Tumblr media
Number 3
This shit was such a hot indecisive mess that even Rumiko was fighting people at shitrise. Still the old hag let them violate her own work in the end. Just by reading this, you can tell they didn't know what to do and I think it was highly possible that good things even including a different mother for the twins was there but it was scrapped thanks to Pedosawa pushing and pushing this shit, saying everyone would like it till they all just relented to shut him up. But ofc it blew up in their face. That original very early leak that said things like Setsuna staying with Kohaku and Rin would take her of Moroha is getting more credibility by the day. It was possible that this was the original pitch but they shitted all over it.
Also yes, by "Rumiko's feelings" they mean of RT making sure Saucerib stayed 6ft apart alright 🤡
Tumblr media
Number 4
Imagine taking a demon lord that's very ace aromatic asexual or demi whichever you desire to call it, who's true calling mostly is the battlefield and also technically a dad to a little girl (as stated by the author herself) and suddenly turn him OOC...
They really said that a bored Sessh tried what having kids would feel like as an experiment (remember what Narita said), Rin was sadly right there... Then have him say: "0/10 would not recommend" and in the meantime he bounced hoping everyone would die in the fire.
💀
A demon lord that in og had clear issues with his parents (remember the way he speaks to his mom?), Who wanted to surpass his father... Being a deadbeat is such contradiction to his growth. What were they smoking?
Tumblr media
And then finally
Are they really trying to say (or excuse) that Kirinmaru being a loving dad and aswell as being there for his daughter is bad parenting here? But Deadbeatmaru was 10/10 parenting done right?????
Tumblr media
Honestly I just want to say that if you want die on the hill that you like this thing despite everything. It's cool, you do you I say and accept whatever consequences come from it, but this is literally the worst sequel in anime history. If this interview doesn't convince you I dunno what will. It's undefendable...

I liked this morning's episode for many reasons. It was a relief to see Sesshomaru taking action instead of standing silently and pained. His battle with Kirinmaru was excellent, but I don't understand why he did not use his sword and let himself take the hit. For reasons...? Plot reasons...? Or is there a point?
I loved Kagome's reaction to seeing Moroha again, and I'm looking forward to Inuyasha hugging his daughter.
I did love the gentleness with which Sesshomaru treated Rin, but once again, her lines consisted almost only of her calling his name.
I hated that once again Towa was very "meh" about meeting Rin. Setsuna asks her if she wants to meet their mother and response is basically, Huh?
It takes Rion to remind her that Rin is expecting them to make her say, "Oh..yeah. Let's do that."
I guess I have to get over the fact that Towa is just not set up as the one who wants to be with her parents. She bonds instantly with everyone else...Riku, Rion...shows sympathy for Zero, but she's appears pretty indifferent to Rin. Maybe it's to show that the Higurashi's are really her family. Osamu Kirin said she would have to give up the future, but I doubt that is the case. She'll find a way to keep her promise to Mei.
Setsuna has been set up as the one who will bond with their parents. They had twins, so there is the one they keep and the one that gets to go be the protagonist, I guess. I love Setsuna. She's a perfect Sessrin daughter, but so is Towa. I just wanted to see Towa caring more. For someone with such a big heart, she could give a rat's ass about Rin.
Maybe it's on purpose. Maybe. Moroha remembered Kagome's smell. It harkens back to episode 3 (or 4?) when Towa smelled something from the Tree of Ages, a familiar smell. People speculated that she could be smelling Setsuna or Rin. I'd like to think it was Rin and they will salvage the mother/daughter relationship, but I'm thinking more and more that while Towa loves Setsuna, she is a part of the Higurashi's family, and while I'm sure she'll be the kind person she always is, Rin and Sesshomaru are not her parents. It makes me sad, but that's what I'm getting from how everything has been presented so far.
On a side note, Shippo's return and Kagome's questioning if Moroha is REALLY her daughter makes me think that appearances are not quite what we think they are. The last time we saw Shippo, he transformed into Kagome. That has been his one big scene. I think that might be meaningful now that he is back in the action. Also, everyone has aged a little bit, but he looks the same. Is he moving through time? Is it just to show us that demons age more slowly than humans...I don't know. Keeping expectations low, though.

Sorry for leaving you hanging, let's do an episode breakdown.
First the story has been split into three, each member of the squad doing their own thing. So let's just examine each thread.
Moroha didn't get a whole lot of time, but we know she is trying her best to fulfill her request from Takechiyo. We learn that Takechiyo's little brother is considered the young lord, and is very likely a puppet, and still worries about their big brother. We still don't know what Takechiyo did, or why he was banished. Moroha shows off her rogue skills and picks the lock of her prison cell with a Swiss army knife, and I just love her resourcefulness. She has better control of her Beniyasha form, but she seems to be bad at math and the raccoon demon is just like "gottcha". Also the raccoon demon holds a grudge against Inuyasha for scaring his face. The fact that he isn't dead means it wasn't a big concern and Inuyasha let him live. So that's where we left Moroha.
Towa joins forces with Riku and Rion, who basically ask to be her bodyguards bc Zero is planning to kill her. Kudos to Rion for attaching her loyalty to this girl she just met. Also, she seems to have a bit of a crush by staring happily at Towa and telling her how wonderful and kind she is. Then in the middle of the road Papa Kirin shows up, asks why his little girl is with these hooligans, and baby girl defiantly tells her father to buzz off she won't let him succeed in destroying the world. Also fuck you for trapping me on that mountain for 600 years. Towa and Papa Kirin square off for a duel, but Towa is struggling with should she try to kick his ass even though she is at a disadvantage or do the smart thing and retreat. She goes in for the kill, but stops herself as a tiny child spirit passes her by with a pinwheel.
Enter Akura. We know Sesshoumaru is after him and his pinwheel but has been ignoring the little tyke since day one. Towa met the child in the beginning of the episode and it becomes apparent that only she can see him while the others can't even sense him. Papa Kirin reveals that it must be a family trait and he skeedaddles bc he's just not in the mood i guess. We still don't know who Akura is, or why his pinwheel is necessary. Also, Riku gets his eyes injured by Kirin's departing attack, and tries to channel Uncle Iroh by saying shit about seeing the truth. Anyway, they seem to be getting along, and while Riku will hop to Zero's side in an instant I'm happy he gets to travel with Towa for a little while to figure some emotions out. Also Rion is a darling.
So we get to see the most action with Setsuna and the demon hunters, and Kohaku really steps into the limelight with his leadership skills. He defends Setsuna's right to be there and compares her to Sango, which is splendid! Sango's reputation is still strong among all the hunters. We even get to see Kohaku's pride as Setsuna kills a fire bull all by herself, and it is so sweet!! Something really shifty is going on in this village they are protecting. There's a divine object called The Blessing of the Five Grains, and it provides fertile crops in abundance for the villages surrounding it. However, the local diety wants it and that's why he is sicking his fire bulls on the town. Both Kohaku and Setsuna feel that they don't have the whole story, and will probably be willing to negotiate when the time comes. It's great to see the cooperation of everyone and a glimpse into the community that helped Setsuna merge into human society.
Finally we get a sneak peak into Zero's plot. She goes to see this demon lord and says she is going to set a trap in his garden and won't he just be a dear and let her do that? The demon lord is fine with it, but when he tries to take her sorrow, he finds she doesn't have any because she trapped them in the pearls. But she has no problem with using the pearls for attacking. It's a nice set up, and I can't wait to see how the trap is sprung and the girls get out of it.
All in all, a good episode with lots of interesting pieces! Next week we see that Setsuna gets another shot at cutting the string of fate. Woot woot!! Get it baby girl!!

I know It was said in an interview that moroha, hachi and koga thinks thier dead. Hachi is the one who supposongly told koga who later told moroha. And im assuming hachi told mirsan. I'm sorry but i find hachi pretty stupid to go on and say theyre dead. He didn't even watch the fight. He just saw kirin and sessh challenge them. It's like he just saw then and was like "oof theyre fighting kirin and sessh, whelp they dead".
Also why the hell are we finding out through an interview. Shouldnt this info atleast been revealed in the show itself.
Exactly.
Like, Hachi is dumb enough to think and believe that shit, I'll give them that. But Sango, Miroku and Koga are most definitely not stupid. Specially because his only proof was his word.
Miroku is canonically smart. Sango is well versed in the art of battle, with a thorough knowledge of sᴇssʜᴏᴍᴀʀᴜ's, Inuyasha's and Kagome's fighting stiles, their strongest and weakest spots. Koga is one of the most powerful demons out there...
But all it takes is Hachi, who didn't even saw the fight, telling them Inuyasha and Kagome were dead for them to believe it? Even if there were no bodies afterwards?
Do they have any idea how absolutely ridiculous this sounds?
