What made you ship it?

oh god, it's hard to remember when I first started shipping them because I've been in the ac fandom for like. over a decade skjdhfakjsd

bUT I am not immune to the Mutually Fucked Up, Let's Vibe Here at the End of it All dynamic they have going on lol! plus, I love angst more than anything else, and these two together provide that in S P A D E S

I have HARD plans to write some desclay in the future, gotta prove I'm not a Fake Fan™ XD

2. What are your favorite things about the ship?

besides the above? well, they also have really excellent spideypool vibes LOL! like, I can just see them kicking ass, but no one's appreciating their skill because they keep quipping and snarking and are SO ANNOYING lololol

also, the contrast the contrast GUYS talk to me about the contrast ohmygod

one, a deserter who literally had to be dragged back into the cause, and the other, a man who sacrificed everything, blood, sweat, and soul, for the sake of a war that had used him up and left him to rot. I think about clay's on-again, off-again resentment that was threaded throughout his interactions with Des on animus island every night. I never sleep.

3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

UHHHH UM, IDK??? I don't think I do............aside from the fact that I'm sad a lot of the desclay fics are pretty tragic and have not posted anything yet to tip that ratio lol! I feel like this ship isn't big enough for there to really be popular tropes, especially ones to hate. I'm usually just too grateful to see more in the tag to care lol
