V-Belt Pulley Manufacturer
Tumblr media
Leading V-Belt Pulley Manufacturer, suppliers, distributors, and exporters include NVT India. We produce a high-quality v-belt pulley with the ability to transfer power between axles. The SPZ, SPA, SPB, and SPC varieties of V-belt pulleys that we typically supply. Additionally, we produce compound, moveable, and fixed pulleys. The fixed pulley's wheel and axle remain stationary. The flagpole is a prime illustration of it. For instance, as the rope is pushed down, the pulley changes the force's direction, causing the flag to be lifted. The full selection of pulleys offered by NVT India is well-designed, and they can function as the greatest trapezoidal cross-section mechanical linkage.

Insult order english translation code#
Insult order english translation code#
Some of salient features of the Flag Code of India, 2002 are listed below for the information of the public:. The hoisting/use/display of the Indian National Flag is governed by the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971 and the Flag Code of India, 2002. It occupies a unique and special place in the emotions and psyche of the people of India. It is the symbol of our national pride and there is universal affection and respect for, and loyalty to, the National Flag. The Indian National Flag represents the hopes and aspirations of the people of India. The National Flag shall not be used as a portion of costume or uniform or accessory of any description which is worn below the waist of any person nor shall it be embroidered or printed on cushions, handkerchiefs, napkins, undergarments or any dress material. The National Flag shall not be used to cover a speaker's desk, nor shall it be draped over a speaker's platform. The National Flag should not be flown from a single masthead (top part of a flagpole) simultaneously with any other flag or flags. The National Flag shall not be displayed or fastened in any manner as may damage it.The National Flag shall not be allowed to touch the ground or the floor or trail in the water. The National Flag shall not be used as a festoon, rosette, bunting, or in any other manner for decoration. No other flag or bunting shall be placed higher than or above or side by side with the National Flag nor shall any object including flowers or garlands, or emblem be placed on or above the flagmast from which the National Flag is flown. The National Flag shall not be dipped in salute to any person or thing.A damaged or disheveled National Flag shall not be displayed.the saffron band should not be the bottom band The National Flag shall not be displayed in an inverted manner i.e.What should I keep in mind to avoid incorrect display of the National Flag? Whats ironic is that German and English belong to the same language family.Q8. Its a place where you can really be a Pissnelke when it comes to languages. You can also help others by leaving comments for people who are learning your native language. You can later use the notes you take to gain insights into German culture and language from your native-speaking German friends and from your German teachers. Peter will teach you some insults in German in his episode German insult words.Ĭonsider keeping a notepad handy when you watch videos in German. She has a video to teach you swear words and German insults. There is a whole section on German insults in Memrise that you can access and study the insults while you are on the go. He uses Memrise, which is an app and website where you can study languages and use mnemonics to help you remember new words and expressions. Unpleasant outward appearance, annoying women, annoying children, animals, and dogs. Germans use this word as an insult to mean a wimp or a wuss, a quitter, a pansy, a coward. Those nouns include: puke, squeegees, carnations, and spoons. Some of the German insults apply to both men and women, such as Arschegeige. Here they are in alphabetical order from Arschgeige to Zungenbrecher.Īctually Zungenbrecher isnt an insult, it just means tongue twister, but we couldnt resist the temptation to share an extra compound German word with you just for fun.įor example, if you refuse to use Facebook, you are a Facebook-Verweigerer. He suggested the Germans should have a word for the way we feel some sense of panic when we wonder where our cell phone is.

Wagah Border: A Connecting Link between Two Nations
Wagah Border near Amritsar is the border crossing that demarcates the boundary between India and Pakistan. Ever since the country gained independence in 1947, it has been serving as a road link between the two countries. It is also a top attraction for travelers, thanks to the Wagah-Attari Border Ceremony that happens here every evening. If you are planning to book your hotels in Amritsar for a holiday trip, keep aside a day to visit the Wagah Border and witness the ceremony.
Want to know more about this top historical place in Amritsar? Here is everything you should know, such as the history, timings, details of the ceremony, and other interesting facts about the Wagah Border.
Wagah Border: History
Located about 32 km from Amritsar, Wagah is a village in Pakistan located on the historic Grand Trunk Road that passes between Amritsar and Lahore. The Radcliffe Line or the boundary line dividing India and Pakistan was drawn here, on the Indian side of the village, during the partition of India. This border crossing draws its name from the village where it is located and hence is called Wagah Border. At the time of partition, migrants used this border crossing to travel to Pakistan from India.
Since 1959, both the countries have been conducting the lowering of the flags ceremony here as a daily ritual. In August 2017, India had erected a 110 meter flagpole in Attari, the Indian side of the Wagah Border.
Wagah Border Ceremony
The Wagah-Attari Border Ceremony or the lowering of the flags ceremony takes place at the border gate between Pakistan and India. This military practice, observed every day since 1959, takes place two hours before the sunset. Conducted by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) and the Pakistan Rangers, the ceremony attracts tourists from across the country, making the Wagah Border one of the top places to visit in Amritsar.
The ceremony is a 30-minutes drill, the purpose of which is to lower the national flags and formally close the border between the two nations till sunrise. It starts with an elaborate parade conducted by soldiers on both sides of the border. Then, the opening of the iron gates at the border and the lowering of the national flags on both sides take place in perfectly coordinated movements. After the flags are folded, soldiers from both the sides shake hands and the iron gates are closed, marking the end of the ceremony.

Scotland gets an imperial Ethiopian makeover
from /r/vexillology Top comment: Another one of my [Ras Tafari](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/55/Flag_of_Ethiopia_%281897-1936%3B_1941-1974%29.svg)\-style redesigns, this time for Scotland (as suggested by several redditors). I decided to use a unicorn (the national animal of Scotland) with a crown around its neck (like on the Coat of Arms, but I decided to leave out the chains), which is holding a flag-pole with the Celtic cross at the tip (I know it's mostly associated with Ireland but I know that's somewhat true of Scotland as well and I wanted to give it a bit more flavor than a latin cross), flying the Scottish blue-white national colors. Hope you guys like it. P.S. [Here](http://cliparting.com/free-horse-clipart-2762/) is the base design I used for my unicorn. P.P.S. I had to get a bit more creative with the flagpole (hooves and all) so I decided to have it stuck in the "ground" and held behind the unicorn's knee. Here's links to the other flags in the series: [Somalia](https://www.reddit.com/r/vexillology/comments/e8gu0v/somalia_gets_an_imperial_ethiopian_makeover/) [United Kingdom](https://www.reddit.com/r/vexillology/comments/e80pu8/uk_gets_an_imperial_ethiopian_makeover/) [Canada](https://www.reddit.com/r/vexillology/comments/e7iw97/canada_gets_an_imperial_ethiopian_makeover/) [Russia](https://www.reddit.com/r/vexillology/comments/e4pug0/flag_of_russia_in_the_style_of_imperial_ethiopia/) [Spain](https://www.reddit.com/r/vexillology/comments/e5ogtn/spain_gets_an_imperial_ethiopian_makeover/) [India](https://www.reddit.com/r/vexillology/comments/e76jsn/india_gets_an_imperial_ethiopian_makeover/)

Monday, Mike Pence came out in support of the Trump administration’s decision to repudiate U.S. embassies’ for flying the pride flag, making nationalist claims that only one flag can fly, after U.S Embassies in Vienna, India, and South Korea all flew the pride in celebration of the LGBTQ community, despite previous denial from Trump Administration, this past Sunday.
The administration allowed embassies to fly the flag on exterior walls or inside the embassies. Some countries bypassed this rule and proudly showed their support for the pride flag, and the LGBTQ community, on their flagpoles. The Jerusalem and Nepal embassy even sent delegates to their city’s pride celebration to show support for the marginalized community.

For Which It Stands
I want to tell you from the very beginning that this is a blog about flags, top to bottom, hoist to fly. It is about every aspect of flags. It seeks to cover topics vexillogical, vexillographic, and vexillistic in general. This includes flag history, flags at present, and flags as they may exist in future. The Vexillist is every bit as interested in ties to heraldry as it is in the Thais who took umbrage over Lady Gaga’s treatment of their flag in 2011. It is related to flags, like, by blood or by marriage.
So, if a dive this deep has any courage in its convictions, any introduction ought to start with a flag. What better than a flag explains where one is coming from? A flag is, at its best, an expression of a distinct identity and a celebration the things that form and inform that identity. It is also often a statement of aspiration, a description of the signified entity not simply as it is, but also as it imagines itself becoming. The Vexillist exists for those people who understand flags as an ancient, artful, and intimately human medium. The Vexillist exists for people who see flags as a way of connecting to a large and diverse world of things and ideas. The Vexillist imagines feels its fantasy as a brand of poppy internet journalism that seeks to create original, informative flag-related content while also working to feature a variety of the excellent content already available on the subject with full citations. The Vexillst aspires to be a formidable and fashionable digest of the best vexillology has to offer online. The flag I have designed is my best effort represent these ideas within cherished conventions. Simply put, the flag is the mission statement, and the mission is flags.
Tumblr media
Dimensions
The flag of The Vexillist is square for several reasons. First and foremost, The Vexillist intends to consider all flags on generally equal footing. It is a given that not every flag discussed on these pages will be equal in its notoriety, history, or significance to an equal number of people. Some flags, by every reasonable metric, are more important than others, but every flag is of equal interest to this publication by its very definition.
While the second motive for going 1:1 may be more practical than poetic, it is still very flaggy and very much on purpose. The flag of The Vexillist may someday be sewn from bunting and hoisted high, but right now? It's mostly the profile picture on everything. It's the first thing I've posted on our accompanying Instagram. It's the easiest thing to scale up and down. It's an easy thing to position on other objects for screen printing in a dream scenario where other people want cheap Vexillist merch. As stated in the legendary Good Flag, Bad Flag, "[u]ltimately, a flag's design should reflect its intended use." Since it may never fly from any literal flagpole, its design should be catered to the digital world in which it exists. It’s more URL than IRL, and that’s okay.
Colors
The colors are borrowed, and that's nothing to be embarrassed about. I hate that I'm going to make so many references to GFBF, because I understand some of y'all already passed the 101. I promise we'll be getting deeper into it all going forward. Nevertheless, the final of those "Five Basic Principles of Flag Design" is "Be Distinctive or Be Related." Often, new flags designs are a simply a reworking of one or more other, older flags. They trade on the features of the flags you already know to tell you some new, concrete information about a flag you are seeing for the first time. They are optical allusions.
For example, the American Flag is so deeply steeped in reference to the British Empire, that the British East India Co. was known by an identical design, which was “probably just coincidence.”1 Their similar morphology is just the result of their parallel evolutions. This often manifests in the selection of colors. The colors I chose are those same ones found in the famous five-ringed symbol of the Olympic Games, for the same intended reason. Pierre de Coubertin, who designed that logo in 1913, explained that at the time of its creation, “the six colours [including the flag's white background] combined in this way reproduce the colours of every country without exception." While an exception or two has since developed, these six colors still form the basic palette of flags the world over. While some noteworthy exceptions2 to this scheme have since developed, they still cover a lot of ground without becoming comprehensive to the point of cacophony.
Pattern and Charge
As already mentioned, the canton-and-stripes format may not have been independently invented by the United States. That basic pattern is not any more necessarily a reference to the USA than any more than writing in English might be. On the other hand, I don’t see much value in trying to hide my accent. So, yeah, I made my flag a canton with stripes because ‘Merica. It’s not that I’m particularly fond of the American Flag, nor do I wish to further the notion in some minds that national flags are the only flags that matter. Still, I think it appropriate I acknowledge my American perspective. It is likely to influence the ways in which I perceive and discuss anything, including flags. I consider the reference a kind of caveat or disclosure. It is probably, e.g., my experience coming from a country with a famously fraught fixation on its own national flag that leads me to my next point.
Despite the robust, sometimes overwhelming contribution of national flags to the discourse, they are not the only flags that matter. The past 150 years have generated an ever-growing body of flags that exist wholly apart from state-sanctioned authority. These flags have been sewn and flown by usually ordinary people to stand for their language, their ethnicity, their politics, and their love. They are often the product of artists whose deep understanding of how successful flags work led them to create designs that pushed the boundaries of our visual vocabulary. To honor their inclusion, and to incorporate something personal from my own experience, I have tried to manipulate the pattern to include a second reference. By including a comparatively wide range of bold colors and arranging them in broad strips, I have hoped to also evoke the iconic rainbow of the Pride Flag of the LGBT community and its many offshoots.
Finally, the chevron-esque ‘V’ charge I’ve placed in the canton is the obvious Bat-Signal to all who love flags. It’s shorthand for vexillum, the Latin word for a flag, as well as the related pursuits of vexillology and vexillography. It is an unambiguous citation of the way that device has been used by many of the world’s largest and most influential vexillilogical organizations, including NAVA, of which I am a member.
Felt cute, might delete later.

Appeal to Modi government that anti-agriculture laws be taken back immediately: Rahul Gandhi
Tumblr media
NEW DELHI: A day after violence during the farmers’ tractor rally in the national capital, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi appealed to the Narendra Modi government on Wednesday to repeal, what he claimed were, “anti-agriculture” laws. Taking to Twitter, he also shared a quote by Mahatma Gandhi – “In a gentle way, you can shake the world.” “Once again, I appeal to the Modi government that the anti-agriculture laws be taken back immediately,” Rahul Gandhi said in a tweet in Hindi. His appeal to the government came a day after tens of thousands of farmers broke barriers to storm the national capital as their tractor parade to highlight their demand of repealing the laws dissolved into unprecedented scenes of anarchy. Deviating from the designated route for the tractor parade, protesting farmers also hoisted flags from some domes as well as the flagpole at the Red Fort, the centrepiece of India’s Independence Day celebrations, to hoist the Nisan Sahib, the Sikh religious flag. As protesting farmers clashed with police at several places in Delhi, Gandhi said on Tuesday that violence is not the solution to any problem and sought repeal of the three farm laws in “national interest”.

New story in Politics from Time: ‘I Support That.’ Mike Pence Confirms U.S. Embassies Were Banned From Displaying Pride Flags
Vice President Mike Pence made it clear that U.S. embassies were told not to display rainbow pride flags celebrating LGBTQ rights on their flagpoles during Pride Month, confirming reports that the Trump administration refused to give embassies permission to do so.
Pence told NBC News that he was aware of the State Department telling U.S. embassies that the American flag is the only flag that should be hoisted on the flagpole.
“I support that,” Pence said in an interview that aired Monday evening.
Even so, embassies around the world have still found ways to show support for the LGBTQ community during Pride Month this June.
In Seoul, South Korea, a Pride flag was hanging on the embassy building right behind the flagpole that had Old Glory on it. At the Chennai, India U.S. Consulate a video was posted of the Counsel General in front of a Pride flag, addressing people. At the New Delhi, India, U.S. Embassy, a picture was posted on Twitter that showed the building lit up in Pride colors.
Pence said during his NBC interview that he and President Trump are “proud to be able to serve every American.”
“We both feel that way very passionately, but when it comes to the American flagpole and American embassies, and capitals around the world, one American flag flies,” Pence also said.
However, the decision to ban Pride flags from hanging on U.S. Embassy flagpoles makes it hard for some people in the LGBTQ advocacy community to believe the Trump Administration supports them, NBC News reported.
Trump had previously tweeted his support of Pride month, noting that his administration has launched a global campaign to decriminalize homosexuality.
“As we celebrate LGBT Pride Month and recognize the outstanding contributions LGBT people have made to our great Nation, let us also stand in solidarity with the many LGBT people who live in dozens of countries worldwide that punish, imprison, or even execute individuals on the basis of their sexual orientation,” Trump said in a May 31st tweet.
Pence, meanwhile, has been repeatedly accused of not supporting the LGBTQ community. In 2006, while serving as a U.S. Representative for Indiana, the self-described conservative Christian rose in support of a constitutional amendment that defined marriage between a man and a woman, and described gay marriage as a sign of “societal collapse.” A year later, he voted against a bill that would outlaw discrimination against LGBTQ people in the workplace.
In 2015, Pence also caused an uproar when he signed the Religious Freedom Restoration Act into law while serving as governor of Indiana. Detractors said it was a thinly veiled attempt to discriminate against the LGBTQ community, although Pence disagreed, calling the measure a way to empower “people to confront government overreach.”

Foreign Missions in India Celebrate LGBT Pride month
At a time, when the entire world is celebrating LGBT Pride Month in support of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender people, the diplomatic missions of all countries in India's capital have reaffirmed their strong commitment to promote the universality of human rights and to ensure that everyone, regardless of their gender identity or sexual orientation enjoys these rights without discrimination.
Events in New Delhi included the lighting of embassies in the iconic colors of the LGBTI rainbow flag, hoisting the rainbow flag on the embassies' flagpoles, LGBTI film screenings, lectures, social media campaigns using the hashtags #MyCountry4Equality or #ForeignMissionsPride and other functions.
Every year around June, the countries organise, or participate in events to celebrate the diversity of our citizens, reduce discrimination and misinformation about the LGBTI community.
Marches, lectures and events were held in many countries in the month of June, often called " Pride Month," in honor of the Stonewall Riots that are considered as the start of the LGBTI movement in the United States. Events are as diverse as the countries and communities that host them. Each country celebrates diversity in its own way and at various times throughout the year.
LGBTI Pride celebrations in June were held in over 120 cities around the world. Pride celebrations typically include parades, marches, film festivals, speeches, dances, picnics, and countless other social events.
Background
In 1791, France becomes the first West European country to decriminalize homosexual acts between consenting adults, followed by the Netherlands in 1811, Brazil in 1830, Portugal in 1852, the Ottoman Empire in 1858, Guatemala and Mexico in 1867, Japan in 1880 and more than a hundred countries in the 20th century.
In 1867, Karl Heinrich Ulrichs becomes the first self-proclaimed homosexual to speak out publicly for homosexual rights when he pleads at the Congress of German Jurists in Munich for a resolution urging the repeal of anti-homosexual laws.
After the Second World War, the rate of countries decriminalizing homosexual acts between consenting adults grows, organizations defending LBGTI rights are created, and publications on the subject grow.
1970, the first Pride march is organized in the US, later followed in different forms by many countries on all continents. In 1972 "Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays" is founded in the US, becoming one of the first large-scale organisations of straight people defending LBGTI rights.
