I've seen part of the documentary, but haven't had a chance to watch it all, but that's an excellent thread. Especially given Harry's speech last night where he once again thanked Rob Stringer. I can't add all the videos, but I'll link each one. They're short a very much worth watching.

are you talking about louis' homophobic "i hate gay rumors" image vs. harrys womanizer image? i never understood that either, most antis are like "we know hes not a womanizer" but then theyr like "he hates gay rumors" with louis and doesnt even question it. same with anti louies they use that against him but then they dont believe the inage harry was pushed into. both are negative images and they don't believe one but believe the other

I first recorded in winter of 2018, and did another recording about a year later in spring of 2020. Then pressing plants stopped and all that happened due to the pandemic and now finally my 4th solo, “Vertical Language” will be out from Black Editions on Feb 28, 2022. Unlike my most previous works, I recorded this one in studios, only did 1 or 2 takes each tunes. No overdubs, of course. Side A of the record (they are continuously played in CD) include with my complete solo whereas the side B are the tunes played with the bassist, Louis Inage who has been working with me for a quite a few years, and I feel as this work proves nearly the culmination of what I have been trying to do.
I have been working at tunes, and there came times I couldn’t really accomplish all by myself, so then Louis, the angel appeared and supported me to realize what I wanted to do. I have been always curious for how, the person like me, all coming from free improvisation, would approach tunes, and I have been working at how to go out of them and stuff for 10 + years now, and now more of the free improv stuff is coming back in my solo work for the last few years, so I guess I am at a point where whether I do covers or not and where I am heading next. I have been struggling for long, when facing songs, like how I can assimilate all the emotions or sensations, like if I were to verbalize it, say, “fear” not to be fear, and “pleasure” not to be pleasure, and if I could ever possibly reach that point, and perhaps, there is a “love” underneath of the whole thing. But I started thinking that I would need to go beyond the dimension and distort the time and space, so I began taking some Noh lessons and stuff, and well, how can I put it, I have been searching for somewhere past the verbal meanings, never standing as a front vocal person for over 20 - 30 years, went back to utilizing words/ lyrics, to go deeper to reach the meaningless for more than 10 years, and I am at the point where I still cannot warp the space, but a bit with time… I am not sure, but there is an inflection and such that are related to “the sound / acoustic pressure” in language, and the dimensional depth where the music played only with wavelength cannot reveal, and I guess I came a bit closer to that.
Not like western way of jumping “up”, but to go “down” in order to come “up” like Butoh, or is it something of that a wave sweeps (drawn / gravitated )up to water… that is not the same as considering a motif in the context of horizontal dimension but rather the opposite or say, it is facing different direction.
I am hoping to sing more from multi- angled, more multi- dimensionally for the next time, but for now, this is what I’ve got for you.
