- the girls pouring out their info to yuki after he does the nice thing and tries to help LMAO their intensity...

- akito pulling up in the car!! love the foreshadowing and callback to the chilling shot of akito whipping past in the car and catching tohru’s eye in ep 7

- “he’s getting worse and worse at saying no to her” LOL

- tohru’s expression going totally blank as soon as kyo says it’s ok for her to space out around him is precious agkvl

- “if you got kidnapped while you were this spaced out, it’d be your fault” oof tho the scene would be cuter to me without this line, the implication here didn’t age well :/

- the outfit suits momiji perfectly!!! he even got a little sailor hat to go with it omg it matches exactly!! ;;w;; you picked such a good outfit momiji you have the cutest clothes in school!!

- i actually somehow had the impression all these years that he came to school in a skirt akghl but i guess it was shorts all along, i guess it was like that in the first anime too hjkvl my memory on this must be weak.. not that it should make a difference but this now makes it seem even more strict/pedantic that the pres is so shocked just by a sailor shirt lmao...

- HARU JUST INSTANTLY T-POSING ON SIGHTING YUKI and then he just goes over without anyone commenting or drawing attention to it hjkvhs this little background character detail is incredible

- pres yelling that he’s just being logical is hilarious to me bc it reminds me of conversations ive had LMAO some people just won’t listen....

- yuki in his imagination acts so ooc it’s jarring hkvhjsl ...someone is gonna say to me “you imagine yuki like this too don’t you” no shut up

- the uniform is more fitting than the pink dress tho im just gonna say

- oof was haru’s reply to tohru’s question about how he proved his hair color always this suggestive/aggressive? i remembered him being like “do you want to see too” but the subs go as far as “do you want to do it, even without hugging we can--” like how did you jump to that oTL.. tohrus going to be even more confused (edit: ok apparently it was always like this but i don’t have an official translation of this volume so i thought it was different lmao)

- OH THE AKITO SCENES OH HERE WE GO. oh they are hitting it SO SPOT-ON with every emotional flashback and foreshadowing i am SHAKING??? every one of yuki’s expressions, even the very slight startle and widening of his eyes at hearing momiji’s news conveys such a raw fear and realization...

- the frosty white petals fluttering down over the darkened flashback to yuki cowering in that room is such a beautiful and haunting aesthetic touch omG i love it???

- the way yuki slams his hand against the glass when he sees akito talking to tohru in the courtyard and his eyes have such a visceral shock and terror in them as he instinctively rushes off--you feel that he is acting on what he knows and has experienced and despite his own fear will fight at all cost to prevent that from happening to someone he loves, you can feel his sense of urgency like losing even a second could be too late---

- the sheer terror and anxiety overtaking his face as akito presses a thumb into his cheek, oh baby no, you are okay you are safe doN’T TOUCH HIM

- his eyes going blank and hollow while akito is hinting at recreating his trauma, oh jeez oh no stop you can tell he is just shutting down because the pain and dread of remembering that life is too overwhelming to bear sTOP

- baby yuki’s trembling, shaking glassy eyes wide in terror while the black paintbrush sprays ink around the room oh no no no baby someone hold him and tell him he’s safe ;;^;;

- and the terror in his eyes in the present, the shadow over his face he’s shaking and sweating and freezing and blanking out and shutting down no no no no they can’t hurt you now. you are safe now, it is okay you will be okay

- TOHRUUUUUUUUU!!!! TOHRU IS A HERO YAY!!!!!!!! \;;A;;/ she is so brave she jumped right in and put a stop to all that scary music!!! \>A</

- she could sense that something was wrong and recognized that yuki was scared and diffused all of that fear just by being there with her warm presence ;A; she is a hero T__T

- KYO’S ABSOLUTELY INTENSE FERAL WILDCAT GLARE WOW???? that look is something else omg i absolutely love how they captured the visceral seething anger and loathing he directs at akito from the overlooking window wow--you can feel the heat of his RIGHTEOUS ANGER blazing down as akito just shrugs it off and walks on..!!!!

- tohru realizing that yuki needs to be reminded that there are good and caring people around him, suggesting they play a game to take his mind off the fear bless her heart;;; ;;---;;

- baby yuki begging for help with the dim blue lighting seeming so ominous and desperate aaa;;;; i absolutely love the mood they’re getting in these scenes cRIES;;;; ;;A;;

- “they really exist. THEY’RE REAL” iM CRYING yuki being so happy to see living proof that there really are warm people in the world grabs and BREAKS my heart;; ;;A;; it always tears me up that he didn’t know for so long that love and support were things he could have, that were even possible.. my heart soars for him like the badminton thingy flying into the sky... i want him to keep seeing more and more of how warm and caring people can be ;___;
