@your-staff-wizard and @chicksncash send their regards;
Mme DuQuay, ADC to both of those old bastards...
Much obliged, Mm DuQuay...it has been a while, yes.
Kindly thank your marshals for me for their regards, I'm sure they are quite busy...whatever it is that they do now.
Praying For your sanity and health,

HOOOOOTSSSS!!!! Holy saint-ciboire de tabarnak, when did you get here, old friend???
Now we're almost all together again! Just need to drag Kleber into the tech age...
Bonjour à vous,
Please forgive my tardiness for responding to you, Mme. DuQuay. It has been a long time since we last met, and I hope this letter finds you well and in good health. My arrival to this place seems instantaneous and, at the same time, I sense I have been here all along. Strange.
Kléber has not yet arrived? Interesting. The circumstances and location of his demise should have no impediment, should it not?

who is your assistant exactly? Is she dead like you and the others? How did you two meet?
I apologize for such a late response, anon, but I have been waiting for the right time so Mlle. Hopster will not interject in the response. I can't believe shes still crying over that plant.
But please note that this will leave more questions than answers. As I do not have many answers to your questions.
From what I know, every soul gets their own little space. Their own 'world' you could say. Sometimes they bleed into the real world; the space my assistant lives in. This means she can easily pop into my 'world' and I can do the same with hers. Kind of like some kind of ghost.
That being said, yes, shes very much alive. Unlike me.
When I died, it appears a piece of my being attached to something. I barely remember what I'm attached to anymore, especially after nearly two centuries. All I know is that she purchased something at an estate sale, and I am attached to one of those items.
This leads to where we met. To preface this, I can feel environment changes. Again, I've tried to find an explanation, but even I can't find it. I digress- she saw me when I had come out to see what was happening, as it was the first time my environment changed in almost 40 years. It was odd. I've never had this happen to me before, and neither did she. It led to a rather rough introduction, and we didn't speak for 3 months. I just kept to my little space. She started pestering me to talk after that period, and I eventually gave in.
I can safely say that we're friends. I rarely go into the what she calls the 'living world,' but she comes often into mine just to catch a break from her life.
From the looks of it, this doesn't happen very often. I'm not even sure if this is a similar situation as @chicksncash and @your-staff-wizard with their ADC, Mme DuQuay.
Either way- I enjoy Mlle. Hopster's presence. Its refreshing to have someone like her around, to be honest. She may frustrate me from time to time, but she's helpful, and gives me some companionship in this lonely afterlife. even if it is for only a short time.
-Larrey
P.S: It was her idea for me to call her my assistant. She seems to like the title. Although, she seems fond of me to begin with.

ADC Bory de Saint Vincent has been tasked with a very important mission! Well, he volunteered for this mission for a specific reason, but we’ll get to that later. First, he is going to check the afterlife where @your-dandy-king lives, and if he can’t find him there, he might ask Lannes who might share a few pertinent details, and then Bory is going nod thoughtfully, before he heads to @askgeneralduroc ‘s place, knock on the door, leave the basket and then head off to his real goal - the Berthier jungles.
Inside the basket is a wrapped container with a lovely blackberry and apple clafoutis - a kind of cakey thing drenched in juices, on top of another wrapped container with a pastis gascon apple pie. There is also a short curt note attached to the basket.
Bon anniversaire, Murat. Store the leftovers in a modern refrigeration device or equivalent lest they spoil. Eggs are courtesy of Mme. DuQuay. Share these with whoever you wish, and may your day be enjoyable.
— Soult.

Bon anniversaire, Hoots! <3 <3
Sending you some things from the crew here; @your-staff-wizard and @chicksncash, Augereau, and the Heavy Cav boys all send their warmest regards on your birthday!
I've packed a rehaired bow, some rosin and a new case for your violin, and Berthier's sending over a falconer's glove, jesses and a hood for your little owl problem, and some micecicles - frozen prey - in a cooler with a nesting box so that you might be able to tame your new little pet.
Also sending over some art supplies so you can keep up on your other hobbies.
Happiest of birthdays to you, old friend... may it be a good one.
~ Mme DuQuay and the crew
All of these well-wishers. Davout, Mme. DuQuay, even Lannes, and more. Saint-Cyr may have forgotten his own birthday, but others have not. And he finds himself deeply touched by the thoughtfulness, even if a little.
Chère Mme DuQuay,
Thank you for your gifts and, please pass on my warm gratitude to the others.
My owl "problem." I did not desire a pet, but my owl problem has multiplied. I am not certain if I wish to encourage it to multiply further. Nevertheless, these "micecicles" are appreciated, and I will put these supplies to good use.
Yours, as ever,
- L. de Gouvion Saint-Cyr

do you know how to look after owls
Saint-Cyr is sitting in splendid solitude in his studio, when this anonymous missive arrives. He is contemplating how to compose his respective replies to Mme. DuQuay and to General Desaix, when a loud crash of glass from his office interrupts him.
He doesn't remember, exactly, if he ever had an art and music studio attached to his office when he'd held the position of Minister of War. Maybe it was in his house. Either way, a window is now broken and the owl is back.
Earlier, he'd managed the task of shooing it out of his house with a broomstick. It had hooted in protest when he slammed the front door closed, thereby locking it out into the front garden. Outside, where owls should be. And not indoors, looking down at him from the chandelier, like it is now. He glares at it, and it glares back, neither of them backing down.
How am I supposed to lure it down from there? Live mice? In my house?
Anonymous questioner, the answer is clearly, "No."

*Sends over two dozen free-range eggs in a styrofoam cooler along with a quart of homemade black raspberry jam from her farm*
Thought you might need these, Marechal Soult; I'm sure that you'll be the one making the Roi de Naples his birthday cake.
~ Mme DuQuay
Massena and Berthier's overworked ADC
Thank you, Madame DuQuay. I will indeed be making the cake. These eggs will be appreciated.
And we’ll appreciate the jam too! —Petiet
