Mohamad Salah merupakan salah satu ikon Mesir saat ini. Ia berkontribusi besar meloloskan Timnas Mesir ke Piala Dunia 2018. Kini namanya tidak hanya dikenal di Mesir, tapi juga di seluruh dunia. Pemain berusia 25 tahun itu kini menjadi top skorer sementara Liga Premier Inggris dengan mengemas 29 gol dalam 31 penampilan. Dengan nama besarnya, Salah mengajak segenap muda-mudi Mesir untuk menjauhi narkoba. Ia terlibat dalam kampanye bertajuk 'You Are Stronger Than Drugs' yang dirilis Fund for Drug Control and the Treatment of Addiction (FDCTA). Lembaga tersebut berafiliasi dengan Kementerian Solidaritas Sosial Mesir seperti yang diberitakan surat kabar Al-Masry El-Youm. Dalam iklan tersebut, ia mengajak segenap muda-mudi Mesir untuk berani berperang melawan Narkoba. "Jangan bergantung pada hal yang menyeret Anda ke belakang. Jangan biarkan obat-obatan menguasai Anda. Anda lebih kuat dari narkoba,” kata Salah.
