You know I wonder if Kokichi was in a Genshin AU, if he would adopt Scaramouche/Wanderer.

Like obviously not while Scaramouche is incapable of accepting help (because he is powerful and violent) but like. Maybe in a weakened state, where he can be talked to and reasoned with.

I think with how violent and enraged Scaramouche is, it would be hard to get through to him. But, there's something in Kokichi what would compel him to try, so long as it didn't get him killed.

To him, Scaramouche is just another soul left behind by the world--one that desperately needs a guiding hand to help him out of the hell he got dragged into.

The question is--would he take that hand, or condemn it?

Reading non-sense for the sake of it, huh? Aether couldn't find it in themself to disagree. Though they knew the young god meant well, and her methods tended to work, they couldn't help but sometimes wish to skip to the point.

Aether couldn't help but find their newly found impatience to be rather amusing, at times.

Setting aside the papers, they stood up to stretch and shake the sleepiness from their bones. Ugh, their foot had fallen asleep.

Letting out a small hum, Aether nodded their head to the door of the library. They made a start, only to stop to again look at Wrenn in a silent invitation to follow.

wrenn, what have you been doing lately? where have you gone?

to put things simply, IRL has been taking a lot out of me on the daily.

I just got hired at Cinnabon a little over a month ago, but I had a falling out with my step father ( who abused me my whole life, I finally gained the strength to walk away ) who was my primary ride to work and back. I work 5a to 1p but I don't get home till 4:30ish because my lovely boyfriend picks me up from work now.

my boyfriend and I are celebrating our year anniversary tonight. we usually eat dinner / get takeout. we watch youtube until we fall asleep. we hang out, smoke, and relax.

my cat has been messing in the house a lot, won't use the litter box anymore, and I'm so scared I'll have to rehome him because of it. he's in the basement where it's warm but in a confined space because he will quite literally shit everywhere and urinate everywhere. we don't know why, nor do we have the funds to take him to the vet. we barely have been making ends meet with how in debt and how bills have been hitting us all at once.

just... life has been really hard. I'm trying to be active and regain muse but I haven't felt safe enough to let my brain wander. it's been hard, and I've got no hobbies right now. there's a lot of variables as to why I'm feeling these things, but... it's been really hard.

to those who've given me the grace to still be on their dash despite being gone - thank you.

The genuine ease he feels, and the affection Tahariel gives him….whereas whenever Tahariel is around /her/, she feels him so /guarded/ and his touch often comes with an aftertaste of ulterior motive…though, could it all be in her head?

Yori honestly didn't anticipate growing as protective of Allisae and her children as he did. Originally, he was ready to keep an eye on her and Wrenn, and maybe play with Lily here and there--because in the end, Tahariel is his top priority. But now he's there, and the fox considered all three of them unofficially part of his pack.

If he still had his child, he imagines she would have been like Lily at that age, and they would be as old as Allisae is now.

"Wish she didn't hafta feel that way about me an' Taari, though... it's just how it is, with us. It's hard t' explain, but... even after everythin', he knows me better than anyone. Even Aro and Eleare." He sighs. "But, if there's one thing I know, it's that Taari loves 'er. Th' kids too.. I know he does. It's there, even if it can't be seen."

How she came across the Balladeer in the snow would be anyone's guess, but when Columbina found him, broken and still, she crouched down at his side.

"Ohh, poor thing. That must hurt," she cooed, but the Damselette's voice lacked the panic of someone finding someone on the verge of death--and it had nothing to do with Scaramouche's repairable body. Her gaze, somehow, remained upon him as if she could see him through her closed eyelids, a vision that went beyond her physical sight.

Uncaring to his feelings toward being touched--especially in such a state--she stroked his hair with what may have been meant to be a soothing hum, as if to console him in his pain.

"Poor little puppet, are you in pain? Are you going to die?" she asked. Someone else who cared, or whom had their own agendas, might rush to help, or get somebody to help, but as if she were removed from it all, Columbina merely lamented his state, as if it broke her heart. "Will you be allowed to die?"

Wrenn was just in the forest collecting some mushrooms.

No one had asked him to fetch them, nor was anyone expecting anything of him that day. Rather, Wrenn had decided that he wanted to go foraging, to look for ingredients for a meal he had been thinking of. A mushroom and beef stew, really nothing special--but the idea of cooking still excited him, especially since he was trying to make the recipe from scratch.

Mushrooms, boar meat, carrots, onions… what other ingredients should he add? It was almost fun to think about.

Upon finding some edible mushrooms, Wrenn knelt down to pick the biggest ones, wiping off any sort of dirt or debris before putting it into his bag. As he worked, a soft smile broke out on his face, and he felt more at ease than he had ever before.

For him, it was supposed to be a quiet day. That was all it was supposed to be.

With bated breath, Fujiko watched as Wrenn picked up at her baby brother, holding onto him as firmly as a five year old could, before helping him into his baby walker. It was something that she's done more than a dozen times by then, but it was still more than a little nerve-wracking to watch her do so.

Little by little did her shoulders relax, though, seeing Grant turn his undivided attention to the toys that hung out in front of him. ... Only to then turn his attention to the Christmas tree that towered over him, the lights and reflective red and green ornaments mirrored in his big round eyes. For a moment, he held out his stubby little hand, hoping that the thing in front of him wasn't just a funny little illusion -- only to come just the tiniest bit short of the tree leaves. Fujiko couldn't help but smile at the sight. Only to then chuckle when his sister gently nudged his hand away, playfully 'lecture' him that he couldn't touch it or the tree could fall on him. Not that she'd let that happen. Neither would their mother.

"Hey Wren, why don't you go see if your dad is done in the kitchen, okay?"
