i feel like for funsies on the rare occurrence of saturday night not including a date night, steve would honestly just head on down to the park and play some basketball. just to get out of his head a lil bit and have fun like he used to. i think he would sometimes invite lucas and just have some bonding time with him playing some pickup games against randos. (also u and max would def be right there on the sideline cheering them on)

oh my god yes you have such top tier big brain ideas kait <3!!! this opened pandora’s box in my brain bro, i wanna be his gf who comes picks him up from his late night court sessions so bad!!! (i read this more as he just goes and chills at a community court to clear his head but ur so right he challenges randoms left and right when he can hehe)

steve doesn’t like doing it too much :( in his brain, saturday is the day for you! he always spends it with you when he can :) but when there’s nothing good on at the movies you guys wanna see and you’re not up for getting all dolled up to go out, you encourage him to go spend the evening shooting hoops. you know that he loves it, getting the adrenaline out, working up a sweat, and getting things off his mind

u also know how it’s healthy for him— you adore how he comes back from the court and always just sleeps like the dead that night, no nightmares, no nothing. and yeah, you’ll also admit that you also love that he goes out wearing those tiny green shorts and a crop-top hehehe

half the time, he goes alone and half the time he goes with lucas. you always like when it’s him and lucas, as you prefer knowing there’s someone else out there, someone who’s smart enuf to work thru the moods and funks he gets himself into. plus, if you’re early and they’re not quite done, you’ll have max to talk (and gossip hehe) to

but either way, your favourite part of those saturday nights is when rock up to pick him up and stroll out onto the court to meet him. he’ll still keep playing, dribbling the ball lazily — and he always breaks into a full on grin when you hold up your hands and say ‘pass it, harrington’ even tho you do it every time. you give your best attempt to dribble and steve goes easy on his defence, but the moment you try to sidestep him, he gives up and cheats, grabbing you around the waist and scooping you up, spinning you til you’re squealing at him to put! you! down!

the kiss is always a bit sweatier than you prefer but with his hair all mussed, his cheeks flushed pink, and that content glint in his hazel eyes, it’s definitely one of your favourites <3
