Physical traits: Pale, dark hair, bright blue eyes, often has a side-ways smirk on his face. He has a square jaw and a crooked nose from when he broke it at some point in the past, very pronounced cheek bones, and beauty marks scattered along his cheeks. His shoulders are broad and strong, with way more upper body strength than leg strength (from his specialty being melee and hand-to-hand combat).

He has a tattoo of a heart on his neck with “Mom” in it, a mini nuke on his left forearm with the Kings crown, and a lightning bolt with “TCB” above it on his bicep.

Voice: Not exceptionally deep, but lower than a tenor. Kind of raspy while still very lilted; the flirty gravel is definitely his thing, which comes naturally from smoking for ten years. When he’s being snarky gets the “greaser guy” accent going, but that’s completely manufactured and not natural at all.

Clothing: He has about two of the same outfit and wears those constantly: torn up old jeans, random white (or formerly white) t-shirts, Kings jacket, and his high-top sneakers.

Fashion Style/Lifestye: His look and aesthetic are obviously like the greasers of the 1950’s, as all the Kings are. He doesn’t have much of a sense of fashion beyond that, but his boyfriend is a lot more in tune with that and tries to dress him up every now and then – though most of the time it’s the same old dirty jeans and t-shirts with leather jacket.

Weapon of Choice: Baseball bat with random chunks of metal stuck in it that has “Return To Sender” painted on the side. He got his nickname from being able to hit a baseball grenade with such expert precision it was like a nuke.

He also carries brass knuckles as a last resort, a special pair with a spade hollowed out of the center and two long spikes on either end of the hand.

Skills: Extremely charismatic, can talk himself out of almost any situation and flirt his way into getting what he wants, in a direct contrast to his best friend’s terrible social awkwardness. He has no shame about using his good looks to his advantage – and he knows how good he looks, of course. He is also very physically strong and capable in a fight. Tagged skills would be explosives, speech, and melee.

Weaknesses: His loved ones, most particularly Dizzy. If anything happens to him, Cliff, or his mother, he’s going off the rails in defense mode. He is very quick to forgive them of anything they do wrong, no matter how egregious, and overlook serious issues out of a skewed sense of loyalty.

Poor skills: Very bad at restraining his temper. Though he is usually extremely calm and hard to irritate around people who are important to him, minor things from anyone but those select few can hit him like a switch and turn him into a violent, blind rage. Also is completely inept at any kind of wilderness survival.

Personality: Duke is the super cool guy that everyone wants to be! He’s always confident and always knows just what to say, but just as snarky as Dizzy always is. He’s easily amused, easy going, and generally doesn’t take things too seriously - but his temper can be short and violent if someone fucks with him or any other King. He loves to make terrible jokes and use terrible pick-up lines, but more often than not he can sound charming enough when he uses them that people fall for it anyway.

Favorite color: Yellow

Favorite foods: Anything salty or spicy, particularly the things Dizzy’s mom cooks. Also really likes cram, though Dizzy will pointedly cringe anytime he eats it around him.

Favorite drinks: Rum, or any other strong dark liquor (though he knows to stay away from the “Mistake Maker” - the Alejos Especial, the gin that Dizzy’s mother makes and sells to the Wrangler).

Favorite Sweets: He isn’t too big on sweet foods, but he likes prickly pear candies occasionally.

El pasado oscuro, 10 años sangrientos cuando gobernaba Daniel Ortega, Sergio Ramirez Mercado, los Dirección Nacional, Luis Carrión, Tomás Borge, Henry Ruiz, Humberto Ortega, Bayardo Arce, Victor Tirado, René Núñez y otros tantos que huyeron a Costa Rica.

La última vez que te vi PAPÁ, me dijiste: "Sos el único de todos mis hijos que no me ha abandonado en este asilo en la embajada de Guatemala..., nunca imaginé que fueras tú, hijo el que me ayudaría en estos momentos duros para mí" ........ Dos días después de ese encuentro me avisan de la embajada de Guatemala en Nicaragua que te habían secuestrado, los mismos que hoy secuestran a nuestro pueblo. Posteriormente un oficial de la seguridad del estado muy confidencial me informó de tus TORTURAS y tú ASESINATO EXTRA JUDICIAL, Y, DE TÚ ENTIERRO CLANDESTINO en una fosa en los predios de la cárcel modelo de Tipitapa, donde hoy está la cárcel llamada "la 300". Nunca pude darte cristiana sepultura me lo negaron muchos que hoy se dicen sandinistas pero no orteguitas y son los que dirigen la UNAB-MRS, los anaranjados que mudaron su piel pero nunca su VENENO rojo de sangre y negro de muerte es el mismo Sandinismo criminal. Algún día Papá llegaré a esa cárcel llamada 300, perforare su piso de concreto y sacaré tus restos para que puedas descansar en PAZ, un abrazo papá, te recuerdo con mucho RESPETO. Relación de los hechos: A raíz del triunfo de la Revolución el 19 de Julio 1979, mi padre junto a otros familiares se asilo en la embajada de la República de Guatemala en Managua, donde permaneció sin recibir su salvoconducto para viajar como lo hicieron otros miembros de mi familia, se fue quedando solo, hasta el mes de Octubre del año 1983. Durante permaneció asilado mi padre, que fueron, cuatro años, tres meses y diez días, siempre fue atendido por mi persona, le pude cubrir sus necesidades básicas y lo visitaba cada domingo y los días de navidad, Como hijo y único visitante, fui detenido saliendo de la embajada en tres ocasiones por miembros de la desaparecida Seguridad del Estado y llevado a una casa en el reparto las colinas aquí en Managua, donde fui interrogado, torturado física y psicológicamente para que informara sobre las actividades de los asilados dentro de la embajada y principalmente sobre la situación de mi padre, luego de varios días era puesto en libertad y llevado a la casa de mi madre en Bello Horizonte casa B-2-4 Managua. El amigo Tommy Lung nicaragüense que se encuentra en Houston Texas, es testigo presencial de mis capturas ya que trabajaba en esos tiempos para la seguridad del estado, igual que Plinio Suarez García que es el director del CDNN canal 23. Ubicado en la colonia Centroamérica en Managua. En la medida que pasaba el tiempo y mi padre no recibía su salvoconducto. Comencé a buscar la manera de solicitarla personalmente, y en dos ocasiones solicite se le concediera su salvoconducto para que pudiera viajar y juntarse con el resto de mi familia que lo esperaba. Pero todo intento fue negativo. Primero se lo solicite de manera personal al General Humberto Ortega (Jefe del Ejercito de Nicaragua), quien me prometió que en reunión con la Dirección Nacional del FSLN, solicitaría mi petición pero nunca fue autorizada, posteriormente le solicite al señor Tomas Borge Martínez, (Ministro del Interior de Nicaragua en esa época) y le dije textualmente lo siguiente: “Comandante Borge, mi padre fue el fiscal para esclarecer la muerte de David Tejada Peralta y fue quien logro se condenara a Oscar Morales Sotomayor, como la ayuda del Dr. Cedeño (medico militar) testigo clave que mi padre utilizo en el juicio, y que fuera posteriormente asesinado por Morales Sotomayor. Le dije que esa actitud valiente le había costado que el Dictador Anastasio Somoza Debayle desconfiara de la honestabildad de mi padre y el distanciamiento de este. Además le presente una carta firmada por la madre de David y René Tejada donde le agradece a mi padre por ser quien logro se hiciera justicia a su hijo, y por solicitud nuestra, la madre de David Tejada le pide a usted se le pueda otorgar un salvoconducto. Sin embargo el señor Tomas Borge mi dijo: “que era imposible que se le diera salvoconducto porque era uno de los que la revolución lo quería vivo o muerto y me pidió que le dijera que mejor se entregara que tendría un juicio

justo”. Pero mi padre no acepto y se resigno a seguir asilado. Yo seguí buscando la manera de que se le diera su salvoconducto por medio de la Cruz Roja, por su estado de salud, pues presentaba problemas serios, sin embargo se la negaron, lo mismo paso cuando solicitamos un permiso para que fuera operado de emergencia en un hospital de Managua y también fue negado y se mantuvo con medicamentos sus dolencias. Cuando supimos a través de los periódicos un comunicado del Ministerio del Interior que decía que se había fugado de la embajada, inmediatamente lo buscamos en toda Centroamérica, principalmente en Panamá, pero todo indicaba que había desaparecido y se encontraba detenido en alguna cárcel clandestina aquí en Nicaragua. En el año de 1983, en mi búsqueda de noticias del paradero de mi padre, con diferentes personas conocí al Jefe de la comisión especial de investigaciones sobre aspectos internos del Ministerio del Interior y sobre “Derechos Humanos” y desapariciones de nombre: Álvaro Baldizon Avilés, un señor moreno con bigotes gruesos y de contextura delgada y me dijo que buscara la forma como exigir se aclararan los hechos relacionado con mi padre, que me lo decía porque mi padre en una ocasión siendo más joven le ayudo a su familia para sacar de la cárcel a un familiar detenido por la guardia nacional. Textualmente me dijo lo siguiente: “En una de las cárceles de operaciones de la Seguridad del Estado que eran doce en total en las diferentes regiones del país, se encontraba tu padre junto con otros personas, sometidas a múltiples torturas físicas y psicológicas. Las personas cómplices y ejecutores de su detención, tortura, asesinato y su desaparición fueron entre los que recuerdo: Tomas Borge, Luis Carrión Cruz, Hugo Torres Jiménez. Lenin Cerna, Oscar Loza, Primitivo Rodríguez, Irving Larios, Wilmore Solano, José Mojica Mejía, Macy Yuma, sacerdote Uriel Molina Oliu, Raúl Cordón Morice y Juan José Úbeda”. A través de amistades busque la forma de solicitarle una audiencia al señor Tomas Borge, pero se negó y lo que recibí fue amenazas y muchas críticas, lo que me obligo a buscar más información de manera clandestina con el señor Álvaro Baldizon Avilés, y la única ocasión que nos vimos y platicamos sobre la situación de mi padre, me comunico: “que mi padre fue sacado con engaños de la embajada de Guatemala en Managua con la complicidad del embajador, de una mujer Hondureña de origen Árabe, de nombre Macy Yuma, amiga de Indiana Silva, que trabajaban para la seguridad del estado-. Esto confirmado por la señora Iclea Chacarería quien fungía como la asistente personal del asesino Tomas Borge……” Fue llevado a un lugar que solo lo conocían los señores antes mencionados, que según pudo investigar fue asesinado junto a otras personas”, después de esta entrevista con el señor Álvaro Baldizon Avilés, nunca más lo volví a ver. En el año de 1989 y 1990, cuando estudiaba en INCAE, conocí, al señor Jorge Narváez, primer secretario de la embajada de Venezuela, y le pedí que por medio de su amistad diplomática con miembros de la embajada de Guatemala aquí en Nicaragua, investigara la verdad de los hechos acontecidos en el año 1983 con la desaparición de mi padre, el señor Jorge Narváez me informe que el chofer del señor embajador en ese año, me informo que efectivamente mi padre fue secuestrado junto con otros dos asilados por miembros de la Seguridad del Estado, en complicidad con el señor embajador. …Que el congreso guatemalteco conocía de esa situación y por tal motivo fue retirado el señor embajador que sirvió en nuestro país durante se dieron los hechos anteriormente descritos. Con la información anterior, en el año 1990 me presente a la Comisión Permanente de los Derechos Humanos, (CPDH) del Doctor Lino Hernández y interpuse mi denuncia por medio de la abogada Selma Tijerino, y fue publicado por algunos medios de comunicación, pero inmediatamente recibimos en mi casa de habitación amenazas de muerte, lo que me obligo a esconderme en una quinta en la carretera a Masaya. En 2003 interpuse otra denuncia, esta vez

en el Centro nicaragüense de los derechos humanos –CENIDH, con publicaciones en el diario LA PRENSA. Pero no se logro ningún avance para recuperar los restos mortales de mi padre. Moisés Martínez periodísta de LA PRENSA. Para el año 2005 encontré una noticia sobre la muerte del Ingeniero Civil Elías Ramírez Reyes, el representante de la firma Construcciones S.A. – ERRSA, que era el encargado de la construcciones en la cárcel modelo de tipitapa de la nueva galería llamada la 300, al hacer las excavaciones encontró los restos humanos de mi padre y de otras personas asesinadas, el ingeniero como buen católico y simpatizante sandinista, fue a confesarse don el sacerdote sandinista Uriel Molina Oliu de la iglesia popular del barrio riguero, este sacerdote informo a los miembros de la ex seguridad del estado y el ingeniero aparece muerto en su vehículo en un cauce de Managua presuntamente en estado de embriaguez y la policía lo tipifico como un accidente. Ese mismo año 2005, le envié mi denuncia a la Alta Comisión de los Derechos Humanos de la ONU, Presidente Enrique Bolaños, Procuraduría de los derechos humanos en Nicaragua, CSJ, y a la Comisión Interamericana de los Derechos Humanos – CIDH de la OEA, mi denuncia< y fue recibida en el tiempo establecido con un numero del CASO P-666-05, y en las corte de San Diego, California. Hasta hoy no he recibido ninguna resolución. De todo lo anteriormente descrito tengo pruebas testificales, comunicaciones y testimonios notariales a disposición. “LA JUSTICIA TARDIA TAMBIEN ES UN CRIMEN" Denis Silva García Cedula / 01-070860-0055T

SERGIO TEJADA, el parlamentario humalista que investigó a AGP acaba de escribir lo siguiente: Ahora que se menciona a la Megacomisión: El PJ anuló las declaraciones de García y cualquier responsabilidad que se derivara de ellas. Fue una decisión muy cuestionable. De hecho el juez que anuló en primera instancia fue luego vinculado a los “Cuellos Blancos”, y en segunda instancia hubo jueces con vinculaciones directas con García que debieron abstenerse. Aludieron a un problema de forma que no era tal. PERO acatamos la sentencia. O juiz federal convocado Sergio Renato Tejada Garcia, novo relator do processo no TRF-4, concordou que o acórdão original não poderia ter extinguido sem julgamento de mérito o pedido de indenização por danos materiais, já que "houve reconhecimento do fato gerador da morte de vários animais e de sua relação objetiva de causa e efeito no tocante à atividade desenvolvida pelos demandados". O zoológico de Salete (SC) foi interditado em 2011 após a fuga de um elefante asiático. Durante vistoria, o Ibama encontrou diversos animais machucados e desnutridos e irregularidades no local. Além disso, o órgão constatou uma taxa de mortalidade superior a 75%. O abandono das espécies persistiu mesmo após a interdição. O Ibama ajuizou ação civil pública, que culminou na condenação dos donos do estabelecimento ao pagamento de indenização por dano moral ambiental coletivo. O valor foi fixado em R$ 60 mil. The Tour de France Contenders

The Tour de France starts on Saturday and there’s no obvious favourite. Primož Roglič and Egan Bernal are the two central contenders, each with very strong teams but they have questions over their fitness and form. Here’s a look at the contenders for the general classification.

Route reminder: mountainous and instead of three or four set piece stages, there are regular tests across the three weeks. There’s one time trial on Stage 20, 36km including the 6km climb of the Planche-des-Belles-Filles. There are time bonuses at the finish of the stages, 10-6-4 seconds to the first three.

Primož Roglič was going to be the easy choice, the five-chainring prime pick after he won the Tour de l’Ain and dominated the Critérium du Dauphiné… then he withdraw on the final day. He’d crashed the day before and finished the stage but the injuries proved persistent, forcing him to skip rides last week. It’s this uncertainty that means he’s not the certain pick he ought to have been. Management say he’s back in business and we’ll know more in the coming days, there are two summit finishes between now and Thursday and the Pyrenees are just a week away. A year ago placing Steven Kruijswijk on the podium in Paris felt like the triumph of a delicate game of Mikado for Jumbo-Visma, now the team look formidable, especially in the mountains. Roglič has been superior to rivals like Egan Bernal and Thibaut Pinot in recent races such that to win the Tour he need only follow them – easier said than done – until the final time trial where he should beat them. But he can do more than that, he sprints well from a small group to harvest time bonuses and on the Col de Porte in the Dauphiné he could ride away from everyone while staying seated. Some ask “has he peaked too soon?”, evoking his strong start to 2019 when he won the UAE Tour, Tirreno-Adriatico and Romandie before fading in the third week of the Giro d’Italia, his big goal. But he crashed in the Giro and fell ill, plus that winning streak lasted from February to May before drying up. This time he hasn’t been on top of his game for as long but his rivals will test him in the coming days and hope he’s vulnerable in the third week of the race.

Should Roglič fade then Tom Dumoulin is on the up. Jumbo-Visma just want to win the Tour de France but everything else being equal, wouldn’t a Dutch team want an articulate Dutch winner? Only everything else won’t be equal, events get in the way but he’s a strong back-up. Second in the 2018 Tour, Dumoulin’s on a long recovery path from injury in the 2019 Giro but the form is improving, wheezing after the first mountain stage of the Tour de l’Ain, smiling by the final day of the Dauphiné. This is a tough route for him though, this year’s route doesn’t have the steady celebrity climbs like the Galibier, Tourmalet and Alpe d’Huez but instead features more irregular ascents, but the final time trial is ideal.

Egan Bernal won last year and after the Brexit of Froome and Thomas from the Ineos Tour squad he is now the sole leader. But can the team put all their eggs in his basket? He won the Tour de l’Occitanie with ease and talked about approaching his “Tour form” but come the Tour de l’Ain he was getting outfoxed by Roglič and in the Dauphiné he was simply outclimbed by the Slovenian and then others. He left the race before the final weekend, there was talk of a back injury but it was probably to stop wounded pride and it’s his form that’s the question today. Still Bernal was close and he’s arguably more suited to the Tour with its longer climbs and might be a good pick for the third week. Many gigabytes have been spent on Ineos’s selection but without Froome and Thomas they look solid versus Jumbo-Visma. The next question is who is their number two? Richard Carapaz apparently but Pavel Sivakov is another potential card to play. Carapaz is a late call-up after the team hastily rewrote their Tour plans, the Giro winner is in good shape and a tough customer who, if given an inch, will take a mile, especially if rivals are marking Bernal but hasn’t demonstrated sizzling form, dropped in the Vuelta a Burgos, he took a stage of the Tour de Pologne. Sivakov’s the form pick, strong in the Dauphiné, able to tow Julian Alaphilippe around the Alps on the final stage before crashing and yet still troubling Pogačar and Martinez when they caught him before the tricky final climb.

Thibaut Pinot (Groupama-FDJ) is the home hope. Making Paris and the podium might be a decent goal but inside Pinot knows he can win if things go his way. It’s no pipedream, last year he showed he could outclimb everyone and match them in the time trials, until his persistent tendency for injury or illness to strike late into the third week a grand tour. The form is improving, dropped by Bernal on the Col de Beyrède in Occitanie, he was dropping Bernal in the Dauphiné but lost this race on the last day. Another on the injury list, he skipped last Sunday’s French nationals citing a sore back… but we’d all have a sore back if we had to make a 2,000km round trip for a race that didn’t suit, no? He’ll have a stronger team than the recent Dauphiné with David Gaudu and Rudy Molard offering mountain support but this only narrows the gap, it won’t outpower the big squads. It’s a cliché to say he doesn’t ride well in hot weather – he’s won on broiling days too – but the September slot is probably a plus for him, it’ll could be warm but not infernal. But how to win? As we saw in the Dauphiné Jumbo and Ineos are strong but both ran out of riders for the final phase of the summit finish, it’s here that Pinot and others might find an opening.

Emanuel Buchmann (Bora-Hansgrohe) keeps improving, he was just off the podium last year and so the podium is very much within reach on this hilly route. He should be a superstar but is rather shy so his profile is low, but so is his win rate. He should feature in the race but, like Pinot, how to win overall? By his consistency, if he doesn’t win stages he can hope to place among the best in the mountains. In the recent Dauphiné Roglič looked the best but “Emu” was probably joint with Pinot as the next best on the climbs. His time trial ability is much better than you might think, for example he was fifth in the Dauphiné’s TT stage last year. The big question is his form, he crashed in the Dauphiné sustaining heavy bruising to a leg and has had an anxious time being unable to ride for several days. So like others he’s docked a chainring below as a consequence, we’ll get a quick answer in the opening days and if he looks fine then his chances get upgraded as quickly. Lennard Kämna is one to watch, very strong in the Dauphiné and a precious help and the Austrian tandem of Felix Großschartner and Gregor Mühlberger offer good support.

Nairo Quintana had a roaring start to the season making his improbable move to Arkéa-Samsic look shrewd. Only on resumption of the season he’s not looked as stellar, one reason is that in July a motorist in Colombia drove into him causing a knee injury and enforced rest, so he’s been behind in his build-up and looked sluggish recent races before abandoning the Dauphiné citing a sore knee. Frankly the French team, from cycling’s second tier Pro series, would be delighted with a stage win and a Parisian podium. It’s not the strongest team but Quintana has support from World-Tour quality lieutenants Diego Rosa and Winner Anacona although both have been a touch off the pace. Warren Barguil is free to ride for himself, tenth overall last year he looks to be going better now too.

Tadej Pogačar can climb with the best and as we saw in the Vuelta one year ago, do this well into the third week of a grand tour, highly impressive for a 21 year old. Still, the Tour de France isn’t a step up, it’s a storey above. He was improving in the Critérium du Dauphiné but enough to go for the overall against the top names and big teams? His UAE Emirates team are hungry for success but might want to manage Pogačar for the long term by letting him aim for a stage win… or three rather than a relentless focus on GC for three weeks. But he was fast-improving in the Dauphiné and could be a pick to take the yellow jersey in the coming days and we’ll see what the rest brings.

Miguel Angel Lopez is 26 now and if he’s been on the podium in the Giro and Vuelta the grass is beginning to grow under his feet as riders many years his junior eclipse him. How to convert those white jerseys of promise into yellow ones? He’s making his Tour debut and it’s hard to see an outright win but he’s dogged, dependable top-10 material and can aim for a mountain stage win and his form’s been fast-improving to make him an podium outsider. Harold Tejada starts as a team mate and is one to watch. Alexey Lutsenko’s probably too limited in the high mountains to drop the rivals cited above but good for a breakaway stage win.

EF Pro Cycling come with a Colombian tridente and unlike Movistar look like they know how to use it. Dani Martinez has just won the Dauphiné and, yes several riders abandoned but it wasn’t a fluke, he was climbing with the best on all the mountain stages, losing only a few seconds here and there until he took 30 seconds on the final day to win overall. He’ll be heavily marked as a result. Sergio Higuita is maybe better for stage wins and perhaps taking the yellow jersey in the first week than the overall but he crashed in the Dauphiné so we never got to see what he could do on GC that week and cast your mind back to Paris-Nice to remember how impressive he looked. Rigoberto Urán is consistent but probably needs a gear or two more to get on the podium.

Mikel Landa just needs a good day, nevermind a good three weeks. On his day he’s an excellent climber, but erratic across a grand tour. Now Bahrain-McLaren’s team leader with Wout Poels recruited in support but also talking about having the chance to play his own cards. Landa’s suited to this course, capable of a podium if he can avoid any hiccups but form is the big question, he lost 20 minutes on the final day of the Dauphiné and can’t afford a jour sans in the Tour.

Julian Alaphilippe was supposed to ride the Tour de France as a stepping stone to the Olympics but Tokyo’s drifted into 2021. Then the World Championships was supposed to be his new focus, now that’s hanging in the balance. Which leaves the Tour, only you can’t change focus from one day punch to three week consistency so quickly. Here he’ll find a course that suits with less high altitude but repeating his 2019 season is a big ask, for starters he’ll be under pressure from the big teams, they might be delighted if he takes the yellow jersey in the first week but not if he’s wearing it into the third week. As to any secret GC ambitions, yes he’s been spotted on recon rides in the Alps but look at the Deceuninck-Quickstep team, it’s got a sprinter and some stage-hunters rather than helpers.

If you’re someone who tunes into cycling just for the Tour, you’ll be asking about Movistar? They’ve come to the Tour with big ambitions in recent years only for their trident to flop. This time there’s less ambition and even the cherished team prize could be a struggle this time, they’ve only one victory all season. Some years ago Alejandro Valverde would have liked this route with its high altitude summit finishes but he’s talking more about retirement these days than winning and even before the season lockdown hadn’t won a race which is unusual. Instead Enric Mas is the GC contender but struggling to repeat his form of 2018 when he impressed in the Tour de Suisse and Vuelta. Marc Soler is a late call up. It’s hard to see a podium finish for any but all the more reason to take risks and infiltrate the early breakaways on the mountain stages.

Trek-Segafredo have Bauke Mollema and Richie Porte and both have a similar challenge: to convert the ability to climb and time trial with the best on their good days into a three week ride without cracking or crashing. Porte is likely to join Ineos next year so this is his last chance at leadership in a grand tour but he’s 35 now and a touch less punchy than his prime days but was still groupe de tête material in the Dauphiné and the course suits with its shorter climbs.

Among the other outsiders, Adam Yates rode the field off his wheel in the UAE Tour’s mountain stage back in February and if it’s an unfancied race he still had gravity and big rivals to contend with and put over a minute into them. But now Mitchelton-Scott say he and Esteban Chaves are stage hunting, fair enough but the team looks suspiciously like it’s built in support of a GC leader with the likes of Mikel Nieve very useful. It wasn’t long ago that Romain Bardet (Ag2r La Mondiale) was a contender and this climb-heavy route should suit but he’s looked out of sorts and reset with Sunweb awaits in 2021, ditto Pierre Latour who’s off to Total Direct Energie in part so he doesn’t have to target the GC but can become a stage hunter, still Bardet could still place high on GC. Guillaume Martin (Cofidis) has gone up a gear but if we imagine he climbs with the best for three weeks – a big ask – there’s still a time trial at the end and he really struggles in this area.

39 artistas solidarios participarán en versión merengue de "Resistiré"

Este viernes 8 de mayo se estrenará una nueva versión en merengue del tema "Resistiré" interpretada por 39 artistas dominicanos de diferentes géneros con el propósito de recaudar donaciones a favor de los músicos de las principales orquestas del país y sus familias. Bautizada como el himno de la esperanza ante la actual pandemia, y entonada cada día al unísono por miles de personas en España desde su confinamiento, la versión "Resistiré República Dominicana" pretende llevar un mensaje de esperanza, unidad y fuerza a la clase artística del país caribeño frente al coronavirus. Su estreno mundial será a través de la cadena Univisión y, a nivel nacional, por Telesistema canal 11, informó este jueves la discográfica La Oreja Media Group. La nueva versión de la popular canción creada en los 80's por el español Dúo Dinámico y que ha recorrido varios países, está interpretada por Alex Bueno, Alex Matos, Amarfis (La Banda de Atakke), Alexandra (Monchy & Alexandra), André Veloz, Covi Quintana, Charytín Goico, Daniel SantaCruz, Eddy Herrera, Fefita La Grande, Héctor 'El Torito' Acosta, Javier Grullón, Jandy Ventura, Johnny Ventura, José Alberto 'El Canario'. Asimismo, participan Juliana, Julio Zabala, Kiko Rodríguez, Kinito Méndez, Krisspy, Manny Cruz, Maridalia Hernández, MerenGlass, Miriam Cruz, Milly Quezada, Natti Natasha, Nathalie Hazim, Nelson Zapata (Proyecto Uno), Pavel Núñez, Pochy Familia, Rafa Rosario, Ricci Oriach, Rubby Pérez, Sergio Vargas, Sexappeal, Techy Fatule, Tueska, Wason Brazobán y Wilfrido Vargas. YA LATE LA CHAYA 2020 🌿

Este viernes el Gobierno de La Rioja a través del Ministerio de Culturas y Turismo realizó en Castro Barros Paseo Cultural la presentación oficial del festival más importante de la provincia “La Chaya 2020” que se desarrollará desde el jueves 13 al domingo 16 de febrero en el Autódromo con la presencia de una interesante grilla de artistas nacionales y locales.

El gobernador de La Rioja, Ricardo Quintela luego de la presentación expresó: “La Chaya es para el riojano una celebración a nosotros mismos. En febrero todos somos Chaya. Me sumo, hoy como gobernador, como siempre lo hice desde que tengo memoria, invito a todos los riojanos a sumarse, es nuestra trinchera cultural para defender nuestra alegría y nuestro agradecimiento a la tierra que habitamos”.

Dentro de la grilla de artistas nacionales se presentarán en lo que este año se dio en llamar “Provincia que late Chaya 2020”, Jorge Rojas (jueves 13), Abel Pintos (viernes 14), Soledad, Raly Barrionuevo y Dale Q´ Va (sábado 15), Luciano Pereyra (domingo 16), la banda de cumbia Los Palmeras que se presentarán la misma noche que lo hará el embajador de la cultura riojana, Sergio Galleguillo (lunes 17).

Entre los músicos locales se destaca la presencia de Pedro Pablo Toledo, Ramiro Gonzalez, Emiliano Zerbini, Yohana Carrizo, La Morena, Josho Gonzalez, Flor Castro, Umbral Santiagueño, Chilecito Trio, Riojania, Bruja Salguero, Pica Juarez, Camila Fernandez, Belen Perea, Martin Molina Torres, Kike Alamo, Challay Huasi, German Nieto, Cristina Velasco, Gloria de la Vega, Antigal, Jorge Coria Peñaloza, Natalia Barrionuevo, Grupo Vocal Norte, Aguablanca, Toma Josho, Mariel Valdez, Juan Arabel, Pancho Cabral, Raul Minue, Manolo Puga, El Manzanazo, Sol Naciente, Valeria, La Previa.

En la oportunidad también se anunció el Pre Chaya que se llevará a cabo el 5 de febrero para el interior y el 12 para capital y nivel nacional, dando comienzo así al programa “La Rioja es Chaya en Febrero”.

En el marco de la presentación, se desarrollaron intervenciones artísticas a cargo de la Comedia de la Provincia, dirigida por César Torres; la Compañía de Danza Escénica Riojana, dirigida por Marcos Ormeño; y la participación de reconocidos músicos, como Justino Scarltriti, Mauricio Guzmán, Chacho Tejada, Leonel Guzmán, Charito Carrizo y el Negro Cortez, con la dirección de Luis Chazarreta.
