Since requests are still open, can I request one of Kyo (Fruits Basket) getting tickle by his Shishou? Tummy tickles are preferred!! Thanks so much!!
Oo yes please! I love these two so much, so this was a blast to make!
I ultimately decided to go with a pre-canon setting for this fic, so this takes place around the time Shinsou first adopted Kyo! I hope that's okay :D
Ugh, I’m bored!”
“Calm, Kyo. We’ve only just started.”
The small redhead crossed his arms in a pout, glaring at the worn down floors of Master Shishou’s dojo. The pair had been working on meditation- or at least; Shishou had been working on meditation. Kyo, deciding that this was some sort of punishment he needed to rebel against, had moaned, groaned, whined, and pouted the entire time.
And they’d only been there for five minutes.
This was going to be an interesting hour.
“I don’t even know why I have to meditate! Why can’t we practice all those cool moves you showed me?” Kyo jumped to his feet, striking a pose with his little fists. “Like that one move where you flip someone into the mat! Or that other move where we sweep someone’s feet out from under them! Or-”
“Easy, easy, Kyo.” Shishou laughed warmly, reaching out and patting Kyo’s head. “We will go over all those moves. However, martial arts isn’t just about attack and defense. It’s an exercise of composure and patience as well.”
Kyo pouted once more, shoulders slumping with disappointment. “But meditating is lame! How is it gonna help me defeat anyone? Is there a competition on who can sit the longest or something?”
“Not yet- but perhaps one day. Who knows- pick this up and you could be the first world champion.”
“Really?” Then he was pouting again. “You’re just trying to get me to sit back down.”
Shishou laughed, patting the spot beside him. “Come, let me show you the true benefits of mediation.”
Kyo reluctantly returned to his spot, eyeing his master curiously. The true benefits…what would that be? Knowing him, he’d probably tell him it would be good for his heart and soul, blah blah blah-
“Whoa!” Kyo yelped when hands grabbed him, yanking him into Shishou’s lap. “M-Master? What are you-” Immediately he pressed his lips shut, puffing his cheeks with restrained giggles as ten fingers wormed along his sides. “N-No tickling!”
“Oh yes, tickling! You see, Kyo. Meditation is more than just relaxation. It clears the mind of any and all distractions, and allows you to focus on your immediate goal.” He smiled down at the other, delighted at the growing giggles and squirms he received. “For me, it allowed me to find the best chance to tickle you!”
“Thahahahahat’s no fahahahhair!” Kyo broke, childish laughter escaping his lips as he tried to curl up. This proved to be his downfall- curling up only gave Shishou more spots to reach. Twisting to the left- a brush against his ribs. Trying to arch away, access to his spine. He was doomed no matter where he went. “Hohohohohohohoohow dohohoohohohes tihiihihihihs hehehehehehlp mhehehehehehe?”
“Think of it like pre-meditation. You’re too excited right now, so I’m gonna help you release some of that pent up energy.” Feeling bold, Shishou loosely grabbed his student’s wrist, lifting it out of the way so his free hand could tickle his belly. “I think it’s working, yes?”
“MAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHASTER!” Kyo squealed, his laughter raising an octave. He thrashed and frailed against the older man’s mischievous claws. His cheeks were flushed a soft pink, his smile a mixture of annoyance and glee. “STAHAHAHHAHAP IIIHIHIIHIHIHT PLEAHHAHAHAHASE!”
“Are you sure?” Shishou teased, easing up his attack, watching the small boy gasp for air through his cackles. “Well, okay. Because you asked so nicely.” Kyo slumped back against Shishou’s chest, giggly and breathless from the sudden tickle attack. “Ahehehe…aheheheha…yohohohohur a…” Kyo looked like he was ready to complain again, but the kind look his master gave him soothed away any annoyance. “Fohohorget it.”
“Fair enough. I hope today’s lessons taught you the importance of meditation, Kyo.” When the redhead didn’t give him any sass, he looked down to find the cat fast asleep, soft snores filling the space between them.
“Ah yes. Mission accomplished.” Shishou smiled, running a hand through the younger boy’s hair.
I hope this was good!

Why aren't more people talking about Shishou being the best of all the Sohmas? I say this as a die hard Hatori and Kyo fan....why are we not talking about the man who took in the most hated zodiac spirit and showed him unconditional love and support...the kind of love his grandfather was denied...seriously, why aren't we talking about him?? Kazuma is a king!!
