I think if you took Castiel to see a musical he'd be confused like "but. humans dont burst into fully prepared songs like that, dont the humans who make these know that?" but if you explained the concept of diegesis to him and that the songs in musicals are usually only symbolic, although there are exceptions where the characters are literally singing, he would love them and anytime you went to watch a musical with him and a song starts he'd lean over to you like "is this one diegetic?"

Oh man I just remembered something that bothered me: when Sam was close to dying and met the personification of death, Death was this pretty young woman but when Dean met the horseman of death, Death was thsi old guy and they had pretty different personalities iirc and the horseman was talking about how he resented being of Lucifers leash and whatnot so are they meant to be seperate or are they the same being but with genderfluid swag
