Produsen khusus lensa kamera asal Jepang, Tamron, makin serius garap pasar Indonesia. Sejak hadir di Indonesi 10 tahun lalu, merek ini sudah dikenal para fotografer profesional maupun pecinta fotografi. Tamron dikenal sebagai produsen lensa All in One. Jadi mereka tidak memproduksi kameranya, hanya lensa dengan berbagai tipe tapi bisa dipasangkan dengan kamera merek dunia apapun. Tahun ini disebut sebagai tahun transformasi Tamron. Menurut Makato Ayabe, Overseas Sales Dept Manager Tamron, perusahaan ini telah hadir 67 tahun sebagai pemain khusus lensa kamera. Tahun ini diluncurkan logo baru Tamron sebagai salah satu langkah transformasi mereka. Logo baru ini, dikatakan Ayabe, memiliki font yang lebih besar dan jelas yang menunjukkan bahwa perusahaan ini mudah dimengerti dan mudah dikenali. “Logo baru juga menunjukkan lebih sederhana namun bertenaga,” imbuhnya. Ayabe mengungkapkan, saat ini Tamron menguasai 8-10 persen pangsa pasar khusus lensa. “Namun angka itu belum terbasuk kit lens—lensa yang sudah ada dalam set kamera—jadi lensa yang dijual terpisah. Sedangkan di Indonesia pangsa pasarnya sekitar 5 persen saat ini. Lensa Tamron bisa digunakan kamera merek apapun,” katanya di Hotel Holiday Inn Kemayoran saat peluncuran lensa Model A025 dan B023 lensa All in One generasi terbaru. Salah satu langkah transformasi Tamron adalah dengan memperkuat pasarnya di Indonesia sebagai salah satu pasar potensial mereka. Maka itu pada Rabu (26/04/2017) Tamron mengumumkan penunjulan distributor tunggal barunya yaitu PT Halodata Indonesia. “Kami sangat gembira mendapatkan partner Halodata untuk mendistribusikan produk lensa Tamron karena mereka dikenal berpengalaman sangat baik di bisnis ini. Kami membutuhkan partner yang kuat untuk menggarap pasar Indoensia yang masih luas dan sangat menjanjikan untuk produk lensa All in One,” kata Ayabe. Targetnya dengan langkah strategis ini diharapkan Tamron bisa meraih pangsa pasar 10 persen di Indonesia. “Bagi kami Tamron merupakan partner yang berarti karena penunjukan distributor tunggal ini menjadi bukti bahwa Halodata Indonesia dipercaya. Kami juga yakin bahwa pasar Indonesia yang masih sangat luas ini akan memberikan dampak yang positif bagi Tamron maupun Halodata Indonesia,” kata Manoj K. Vaswani, Managing Director PT.Halodata Indonesia. Selaku distributor Tamron, Halodata sendiri, sudah menyiapkan strategi pemasaran. Dengan membentuk jaringan distribusi di kota-kota besar seluruh Indonesia. “Kami juga membuat tagline, “Lensa untuk Setiap Saat” dalam memasarkan produk Tamron. Tagline tersebut merujuk kepada kelengkapan tipe dan kecanggihan lensa kamera Tamron, yang bisa digunakan setiap saat,” jelas Manoj. Meskipun saat ini pasar lensa DLSR sedang turun secara global sekitar 15 persen, Daniel Yeo, Direktur Pengembangan Halodata melihat potensi pasar khusus lensa masih besar. “Perkembangan ponsel pintar memang mempengaruhi pasar ini. Namun sebenarnya bagi fotografer profesional dan pecinta fotografi untuk mendapatkan hasil gambar terbaik ponsel tercanggih pun tidak bisa menggantikan lensa,” jelas Daniel.
