No One Could Love Me Better | normalabnormailtyofmuses
It had been over a year since their first date. Since the first time Jae had realized he needed Ryuji in his life. Over seven months of scrambling over tour dates and song choices and trying to discreetly set up a huge surprise that Jae hoped his halfling would enjoy. Jae had poured over al the music with heart and soul, all the while his staff working to make things happen the way he intended in the background. The tour had kicked off six months prior, and they’d travelled the world to various cities and venues, Jae buying all sorts of shiny things and trinkets for Ryuji to remember them by, as well as thousands of pictures. Everything was coming into play and there were just a few last pieces to fall into place.
“Ryuji, wake up, silly.” he chuckled as he nudged his mate, carding fingers through Ryuji’s hair. The loft like hotel room was simple and elegant, and the pair had time to visit Jae's parents before Jae himself had to be at rehearsal.  “We’ll be late for lunch with my parents and you promised to bring them shiny things that we still have to wrap.” He leaned over to kiss Ryuji’s forehead. “Come on, I have your favorite coffee and breakfast ready for you.” he promised. He moved to get up, heading to the kitchen to finish up the food, excited for his parents to meet Ryuji at last. Once he had been sigbed at a label, they had moved back to Tokyo where his parents could be closer to their families.
As he was plating up the food, his phone rang and he blindly reached to answer. "Moshi moshi." He greeted, smiling when Mina began going over everything for the surprise. He nodded as she paused, humming in agreement. "No, that's perfect, Mina." He promised. "We went over that placement, it fits fine there. My mom and dad are gonna bring Ryuji with them. My mom wants to gush over him all day, so it gives time for that extra run through." He laughed, knowing his parents absolutely loved Ryuji already. "I just hope he likes it." The doubt must have been in his voice, because Mina immediately scolded him, a laugh passing his lips. "Alright. You still need me at 3, right?" Hearing confirmation, he nodded again and said goodbye, hanging up and moving to take Ryuji's coffee into the room, knowing his boyfriend was likely still asleep. "You know, I could always just throw their presents in a couple of bags with tissue paper over it." He teased, trying to draw Ryuji from the bed.

Coffee was essential for Jae after a long night of filming for the new video, at the very least to make sure he got home in one piece. He was sitting as he sipped the coffee, munching on a piece of banana bread as he prepared to head home. A glance up had him doing a double take as he noticed an officer nearby. He recognized him, but he wasn’t sure if he should greet the other or not, so he waved at him instead.

The Start of Something New
@athousandrealmsofhappiness
Hyunki leaned forward and whispered against Jae’s ear. “Do you really want to know?” He din’t really plan on telling Jae what he was thinking, he was buying himself some time to think of a convincing lie. He was not going to screw up this chance to get his thoughts of Hangyeom to vanish. He ran a hand down Jae’s chest, letting come to rest on the other’s hip as he thought frantically for a good lie.
Jae arched a brow, a shiver running down his spine. "Only if you're honest with me," he answered, reaching to take Hyunki's hand and walk backwards into his apartment, free hand shutting the door as he moved closer, hands passing through Hyunki's hair as he let himself press close to the other male. "I promise I can help if you let me, Hyunki." His voice was soft, eyes watching the nymph before he leaned to kiss him.

I am YOU
@athousandrealmsofhappiness
Gwangseon shook his head at Jae. “It’s really not that bad. I just keep forgetting I’m hurt because it doesn’t bother me all that much when I’m still.” He fiddled with the blanket with his good arm. “You don’t have to take care of me, you know. I can do it myself.” He brought his bottom lip in between, embarrassed from getting himself into this situation after Jae had said to be careful. “I’m sorry for worrying you.”
Jae watched the other, tilting his head. "I'm well aware that I don't have to, Seony. But I want to.” he answered, leaning to kiss Gwangseon’s temple and then rest his head against Gwangseon’s. “Trust me when I say I’m just glad you’re alright.” he whispered, eyes closed. “You were just doing your job. I could never be upset for doing that.”

A Dragon’s Song
@normalabnormalityofmultimuses
Ryuji flinched when Jae’s hand touched his tail. His new attachment was a bit sensitive. He did agree that the scales were pretty but he honestly didn’t know how to feel about it. “I already have a headache. I’ve trying to make this thing disappear for an hour now.” Ryuji muttered as he turned the volume down on the tv. He was more upset at the fact that his parents weren’t able to help out with this. If they were still here he would be able to control his dragon side.
Jae was gentle as he touched the scales, the colors iridescent and colorful. “I’m sorry, I wish I could help more. I don’t really know much about my magic, I’ve never thought to try and use it before.” He moved to reach for his boyfriend, opening his arms. “Come here, baby.” he said calmly. "I know you're freaked out, but giving yourself a headache won't help."

Recovery Time
Waking up in a hospital bed was not how Jae had anticipated his schedule to be interrupted. Especially when the last thing remembered was working on the choreography for his new song in the practice room and getting briefly dizzy. Yet he was waking up in a bed, finding IVs in one arm and wristbands on the other. Letting his arm drop back onto the bed, he sighed, startling as he accidentally hit the remote and the tv came on. He flinched a little at the level, quickly muting it while he figured out how to turn it down. Moving the bed so he was more upright, the singer stretched as best as the tubes attached to his arm would allow. Hearing his pbone go off, he reched to check it, finding a message from his manager, scolding him for not taking better care of himself. With a groan, he set the phone in his lap. He'd been so focused on making sure every aspect of the comeback was perfect that he'd neglected to tend to his own needs.

Down Time | athousandrealmsofhappiness
Jae had a favorite restaurant, and yet he’d never actually had time to visit it in person. The staff had brought it during a lunch break one day, and Jae had just about been addicted ever since. Promotions had just ended for the newest song, and he was determined to finally have a meal inside the building. He walked in, looking around with a smile. It felt a lot like home somehow, and the singer moved to the counter to place his usual order, pulling his sunglasses up onto his head, red hair being pushed back from his face.

Gwangseon was trying to explain to the highly intoxicated man in front of him that the woman who had walked past was not his wife and that grabbing her rear end was sexual assault when he caught movement in the corner of his eye. He looked up and was met with the familiar face of Jae Kyung. He waved back before telling the intoxicated man he had to sleep of his stupor in the holding cell at the precinct. Gwangseon placed him in the backseat of his cop car and, telling his partner he’d be right back, jogged over to Jae. “Hello stranger.”
Jae couldn’t help but smile as the other came back over. “Hey there.” he greeted. “Busy night, I gather?” he asked, finger tilting the little cup in a circle. He knew his makeup was still in place and he was pretty sure his casual outfit of black jeans and a white t-shirt didn’t match, but he’d worked really hard on the video and he was happy to run into an acquaintance after the hectic day. “You look good, Seony.”
“Not really. Nothing serious, just drunken people doing what they do.” Gwangseon replied easily. At the comment from Jae he looked down at himself. “I hope you mean good in the ‘life has been good to you’ way because I look and feel like a mess. The car is cramped, ya know and it wrinkles the uniform.” He spoke trying to smooth out the wrinkles in his uniform.
Jae laughed a little. “They can be fun from time to time.” he mused. “Though I imagine you handle the less fun side of the crowd.” He lifted his cup to take a sip, arching a brow. Swallowing the coffee, he licked his lips and shrugged. “And if I meant it both ways?” the singer asked, grinning playfully.
“Definitely the less fun side of things.” Gwangseon adjusted his gear belt. “If you meant it both ways I’d have to arrest you for lying to a law enforcement officer.” Gwangseon countered with an equally playful grin. “It’d be best if that didn’t happen, right?”
Jae opened his mouth in an amused but playfully offended way, eyes drifted back to where Gwanseon’s partner was waiting. “Tell you what, officer.” he mused, pulling a pen from his jacket and taking a napkin, writing his name and number on it. Folding it in half, he held it out. “When you get done with your shift protecting the innocent, hit me up and we can debate on the phrase ‘bauty is in the eye of the beholder’, hmm?”
Gwangseon took the napkin and placed it in his pocket. “Maybe some other time, I’m always protecting the innocent.” With that Gwangseon winked, turned around and walked about to the NYPD cruiser where his partner waited in the driver’s seat. He climbed into the passenger’s seat and motioned his partner to drive. As they drove passed Jae, Gwangseon waved slightly and smiled.
Despite being exhausted from work, Jae laughed at Gwangseon’s remark, waving him off. “See you around, Seony.” he called, headed to his own car to head home. He had another day of filming tomorrow, so he needed to get home and rest. Once home, he showered and slept, waking up early to head to his label, where they’d take him to the next location for filming.
Gwangseon stood outside his cruiser, blocking off the road. His partner asked what exactly they were doing and Gwangseon just shrugged. He just went where he was told to go. In intervals crowds of girls would come by and look around before leaving and it was beginning to irritate Gwangseon. “Why are we even here?” He complained, tilting his head back to look at the sky.
Jae had headphones in as the driver took them to the building where they’d be filming, but his eyes were looking out. As they pulled in, he couldn’t help but chuckle at the sight of a certain officer stuck on security duty for the day. Once the vehicle had pulled in, Jae got out and looked over, waving towards where Gwangseon stood before heading to the tent where the makeup crew was waiting. Clad in a dark blue suit, he ran a hand through his hair as he began getting instructions on where backups would be placed and the kind of angles the crew was looking for.
Gwangseon stared but didn’t wave back. His partner made a comment about drooling to which Gwangseon turned his back to Jae with a “Humph!” In all honesty, Jae looked stunning but Gwangseon was not about to tell him that. The officer in charge brought over water bottles and Gwangseon and his partner nodded in thanks. Gwangseon glanced back over his shoulder and rolled his eyes. “This is so NOT fair.”
Summer meant the suit was hot and between shots, makeup touched up everything from his hair to the neutral eyeshadow. When he was able to get a break while the cameras and dancers got a rest, he made his way over to Gwangseon, tossing a fresh bottle of cold water to the other as he leaned on the barrier. “How’d you end up on fangirl removal, handsome?” he asked, grinning as he put his sunglasses back on.
Gwangseon caught the bottle easily and rolled his eyes. “I do what I’m told and don’t ask questions.” He twisted the top off and took a drink. When he was done he twisted the cap back on and fanned himself with his hand. “How can you wear that thing?” He said using the water bottle to motion at Jae’s suit. “I’m dying in this.”
Jae couldn’t help but laugh at the answer, shrugging. “They could at least give you some shade. This isn’t Madison Square Garden.” he mused. Looking down at his suit, he laughed again and nodded. “Very carefully, trust me. The makeup does not help, though, trust me.” he answered. “You working the late shift again?”
“I believe shade is a privilege.” Gwangseon scoffed sarcastically as he took another drink of water. He readjusted his radio on his shoulder for the nth time and rolled his shoulders. “Only when I have to. Usually if I do, I’m taking someone else’s shift. They don’t like temporarily switching up partners, it can cause some issues with the job.”
“Well, then neither of us are very lucky today.” Jae half-laughed, watching Gwangseon for a long moment as he listened. “What time are you off duty?” he asked, nudging his glasses down to reveal his eyes as he looked at the other.
Gwangseon chuckled at the singer. “Wouldn’t you like to know?” He raised an eyebrow as he spoke and his partner piped up from behind him. “He gets off at nine.” Gwangseon swung around to look at his partner and gave her a look that said ‘shut your mouth right now’. He turned back to Jae with an uneasy laugh. “She doesn’t know what she’s talking about.” Behind Gwangseon his partner rolled his eyes and whispered under her breath, “You really need to get laid.” Gwangseon choked on his water mid drink and gave her the same look as before.
Jae gave a smirk at Gwangseon before hearing his partner, clicking his tongue thoughtfully. “Nine, huh?” he asked, chuckling as he saw the male try to cover the information he’d been given. “Oh, that hurts, Seony.” he mused, laughing as he happened to catch the ending of the woman’s sentence. “Maybe if you quit playing hard to get, we wouldn’t have a problem with that.” He mused with a wink.
Gwangseon blinked toward Jae as he slowly turned to face his partner. “I am SO driving for the rest of the month.” He turned back to star in front of him and replied curtly. “I don’t know what you’re talking about, I’m just here doing my job and having a friendly conversation with a friend.” He crossed his arms and looked off toward the building to his right.
Jae watched the two interact, smiling at the woman kindly as she shrugged at Gwangseon’s answer. He laughed again at the other male’s reaction, tilting his head. “Oh, come on, Seony. One date won’t kill you.” he sipped his water again. “Am I really that bad to be around?”
Gwangseon stood in silence, mouth hanging open but no reply coming out. He took a breath and smiled a little at Jae. “I already have plans.” He spoke quickly with a matter of fact look on his face. Gwangseon crossed his arms over his chest causing the condensation from the water bottle to end up on his uniform. “Besides, who said I liked you like that anyway?”
Jae pouted a little, sliding his sunglasses back up to cover his eyes. “Oh, so you’re gonna avoid me, huh?” he smirked, looking at the woman who was clearly Gwangseon’s partner. He really did want a date with the attractive male, but he supposed he was going to have to play hard ball too. “What about you, beautiful? Do you have plans? Since this one here’s not interested, I could treat you.” he offered, trying not to be as phased by Gwangseon’s last question as he was, his playfulness a little quieter suddenly without meaning to.
“Sorry, she doesn’t swing that way. I think she has a date for tonight anyway.” Gwangseon replied, wondering at the subtle change in Jae’s demeanor. It was a joke but what if Jae had taken him seriously? Geangseon didn’t have room for a significant other in his life right now anyway. No one would ever understand that his job would have to be first. He looked up and saw the people behind the cameras waving. In a queit voice he continued, “I think they’re calling you.”
Jae rolled his eyes. “I could still treat her to dinner, since you won’t let me spoil you.” He turned as Gwangseon spoke, frowning a little. Damn it, he really wanted to try and get just one date. Looking back, he gave a smile at the other. “You gonna stick around? I may be able to convince you yet, even with my crazy schedule.” He moved to right himself, tossing the water bottle towards Gwangseon.
Gwangseon caught the bottle and called after the retreating male. “I have to, it’s my job.” He turned to his partner and found her giving him a look that said she wanted to hit the back of his head. “Don’t look at me like that.” She rolled her eyes as Gwangseon spoke. “Why don’t you just tell him you’ve been into him since you worked that security detail at his concert?” She inquired as Gwangseon fiddled with Jae’s bottle. “I just don’t want to bring someone into my life and tell them that they have to be second to my job. I save a lot of people and I have to be able to go when and where I’m needed.” He spoke sadly and with a solemn look he turned to face the opposite direction of the singer and his crew.
Jae went about the shoot, but his eyes kept straying to the officer between takes. Turning back to the makeup team as they adjusted his makeup again, his hair being restyled as he closed his eyes and let the tent shade him just enough to take the edge off the heat. When filming was coming to an end, he asked his driver for just a moment, going over to the pair and moving around the barrier. “Hey, Seony, at least give me your number, huh?”
Gwangseon was startled by the singer and still upset from his partner’s scoldong earlier. He reached into his patrol car and grabbed his note pad while taking his pen from his belt. “Just so you know, this doesn’t mean anything, okay?” He jotted his number down and tore off the piece for Jae. “Here.”
Jae smiled as he was given the paper, giving a bright smile. “ Wrong. It means we can keep in touch this time.” he countered, tucking the paper into his pocket. “Be safe, alright? I know your job is risky.” he told him.
“Mybe not as risky as you think. Minji usual does the scary stuff.” Gwangseon joked as he reached throught the window and grabbed the star’s water bottle. “I believe this belomgs to you. Unless I’m totally wrong and you have a twin running around here.”
“Seony, regardless of who does what usually, your job is still a risk.” Jae argued, his lips twisting in a concerned smile. “Just be careful, alright? Make it home safe and all that.” He blinked as Gwangseon gave him his water back, smiling and taking it. “If only I’d been blessed with siblings.” He mused, runnign a hand through his hair.
“Mr. Kyung, I do hate to interrupt, but we really should get back to HQ.” his driver said, giving a faint smile.
Jae’s lips curved in a sad smile, turning back to Gwangseon. “Well, my duty calls. I’ll text you later, okay?”
“Sure thing.” Gwangseon turned back to his partner began to speak and before he knew it he was responding to a domestic abuse call and arguing about whether or not Minji’s girlfriend would like him. His phone dinged but he couldn’t hear it over the sirens that sounded from his cruiser and the ambulance in front of them.
Jae waited a while before sending a message, not wanting to bother Gwangseon if he could avoid it. The last thing he wanted was for something to happen to the officer because of him. Once he figured it would be a little more reasonable, he sent a message as he was cooking his food.
[To; Seony-kun]: Well, I made it home safe, Seony. Your turn.
Gwangseon’s phone sat in the NYPD cruiser as a gunshot rang out in the night. The ambulance was given it’s occupant and took off as the cruiser followed suit quickly.
Jae received a message from a number that wasn’t Gwangseon, and it took a minute to realize it was the woman partnered with the male. A brief conversation about which room Gwangseon was in ensued, and Jae readied himself to leave. Grabbing a hooded jacket, he drove to the hospital, drawing the hood up as he walked through, going to the appropriate floor before he asked where he could find the room. The nurse was happy to help, leading him to the room and reminding him to be quiet. Opening the door, he caught sight of Minji first, who was sitting in one of the chairs in the corner by the window. “Hey beautiful. How is he?”
“He’s gonna hurt like hell for a bit. Nothing life threatening, but they still had to dig a bullet out.” She answered, eyes watching her oartner as she spoke before they fell on Jae. “I know you’re busy and all, but I figured you should know, and see, before you got any closer to Gwanny. This is our job, and that risk is always going to be present. It could definitely have been worse tonight, but we all got lucky.”
Jae listened to her, could see how serious she was. “I know the job has risks. And I know it’s something he chose, I wouldn’t ask him to change that. He loves his job, despite those risks, that’s who he is. Just like my music means the world to me, being a cop means the same to him.” He answered. “I knew the risk when I started flirting with him, I’m not gonna pretend I didn’t.” He motioned to the other chair. “May I?” He asked, giving a smile as she nodded, walking to sit next to her.
Gwangseon let out a groan as he came to. “I didn’t even get a sentence out.” HE looked to the side where he knew his partner would be and was surprised to find Jae as well. “Min, did they get the family out of there?” He gave a little wave to Jae with his good arm and smiled sheepishly. “It’s not my fault. The guy didn’t even let me talk to him.” He raised his good arm to grab for his phone which sat on the bed table. He stopped mid way through and leaned back with a sigh.
Jae perked up despite being half asleep when Gwangseon spoke. He leaned forward as he watched the male, resting his head on his hand.
“They’re all going to be fine. The kids are with their mom, she lost a lot of blood, but she’ll be fine. Her sister is gonna watch the kids during her hospital stay.” Minji answered. “Now that’ you’re awake, I’d like to go change, I have blood all over my uniform.” she teased, moving to stand up and walking over to kiss his forehead. “Get better. And don’t you dare go against doctor’s orders.”
Jae waited until she was gone before getting up and moving to sit on the edge of the bed. “I told you to be careful, Seony.” he mused with a smile. “At least you’re gonna be okay, though.”
Gwangseon called after his partner to stay but she exited the room anyway. “It’s not my fault. The guys was crazy, usually I can talk people like that down but this time it was like a whole different atmosphere. Minji was even worried, I should’ve just let her do it.” He moved away from Jae just the slightest bit and prayed the other didn’t notice. Gwangseon just didn’t want anyone to jostle him and hurt his shoulder more. “Well good news for you, I’ll be on paid leave while this heals. So I’m free everyday for the foreseeable future.” He laughed a bit but stopped as his shoulder moved again.
“That’s just a part of the job, though, right?” Jae asked as he reached to hand Gwangseon his phone. “The main part is that you’re okay, Seony. When Minji messaged me and told me you  were hurt, of course I was going to come. We may not have dated or anything, but I was serious about wanting a date. I didn’t mean to go and get shot, though.” he answered, giving a smile. He noticed the other moving. “Is your shoulder bothering you?” he asked.
“I’m fine really. And I didn’t plan to get shot, it just happened.” Gwangseon huffed at Jae. “I’m so hungry though, do you think she’ll actually bring me sushi?” Gwangseon whined, looking at Jae with a pout. “I reaaaaaaallllly want sushi. Like really really.” Gwangseon felt high. He blamed it on the morphine and slowly blinked his eyes while looking at Jae, trying to determine what exactly he wasn’t supposed to tell him. “I don’t know. I want sushi.” He closed his eyes and leaned his head back.
“Hey, as long as you‘re gonna be okay, that’s what I’m worried about, silly.” Jae laughed at the inquiry, shrugging a shoulder. “Maybe? I could message her if you’d like. Keep your shoulder from jostling too much.” He offered, opening his phone in time to recieve a message from the woman. He chuckle and answered, adding that Gwangseon wanted sushi. “I’ll have her bring some.” he promised, finishing the message and moving to set his phone on the bed next to him. “Besides wanting sushi, how do you feel? Still a little high?”
At this point Gwangseon began to doze in and out of sleep. “Yeah maybe a little. I feel like there’s something I’m not supposed to tell you.” He continued pouting as he moved his head to face Jae again. “But I don’t remember what it was, so I guess it’s a win for me.” He smiled a little and waved his hand up and down. “Come here.” Jae leaned down and Gwangseon put his finger on the other’s nose. “Boop.”
“I mean, I know we aren’t super close, but what would you not be okay telling me?” Jae teased, reachign up to pet Gwangseon’s hair. He blinked as he leaned over and was booped. A quiet laugh escaped him and returned the motion with his own hand. “You are very high, Seony.” he mused. “Minji is on her way to get food, though.” He smiled as he watched Gwangseon, glad Minji had thought to tell him. “I did receive a lecture when I got here, though.”
Gwangseon perked up at the sound of food. “That’s just Minnie.” He said with a small smile. “You’re pretty.” He spoke softly, completely serious no joking lilt to his voice whatsoever. “It’s not fair. I wish I was pretty too.” Gwangseon looked away and his vision blurred as tears began to fill his eyes. He didn’t like crying and he really didn’t like people knowing how he felt about himself so he tried to stop everything but he was too high control himself.
JAe stopped when Gwangseon spoke, tilting his head. “What makes you think you aren’t pretty, huh?” he asked. “Hey, look at me.” he urged, reaching over to try and turn Gwangseon’s face back to look at him. “You are beautiful. Not just how you look, either. Your voice, you kindness. Gwangseon, there is no one I can think of more beautiful than you.”
Gwangseon reluctantly turned his head to face Jae, a tear slipping free of his jaw. “No one sees me like that, please don’t lie to me.” He pushed Jae’s hand away and turned back the other way. “I really don’t stand a chance.” He mumbled as he thought of how pretty the girls who had been to the music video shoot had been. He sighed and attempted to curl into a ball and watch the clouds pass over the blue sky.
Jae frowned and adjusted to reach and run his fingers through Gwangseon’s hair. “I see you like that.” he countered. “Other people are idiots if they don’t see how amazing you are. Of course you stand a chance, when you’re the only one I care about seeing.” he moved to lay his hand on Gwangseon’s hand that wasn’t attached to the injured shoulder. “Did you think I wanted a date as a fling? No. I want to know you. I want to see you smile and be happy. You’ve been on my mind for months now.” he said, tilting his head to try and catch the other’s eyes. “Do you know how happy I was the other night when I saw you again after so long?”
Gwangseon leaned into Jae’s hand as it messed up his hair. He listened as JAe spoke but didn’t get his hopes up, he knew it wouldn’t be long until he was alone again. He moved to pull his hand from Jae’s but the other male tightened his grip. “I don’t date people he responded sadly, it doesn’t end well.” He actively avoided Jae’s eyes as Jae spoke. He couldn’t bring himself to look at the singer, too afraid that in this state he’d do something stupid. At Jae’s final question Gwangseon slowly turned his head to look at the other. “What?”
The action made Jae smile, though it fell a little as he listened to the response. “Gwangseon, I am not most people. Trust me. My schedule makes it really hard to make any kind of real connection, too. Just for a slightly different reason.” He explained, leaning in to rest his head on Gwangseon’s. “Don’t shut me out now, okay? I was so happy to see you again. It made my heart go haywire.” He went quiet. “I was really scared on the way here, you know. I didn’t know what to expect, but I knew I was going to do everything I could to help.” He pulled back to look at Gwangseon, reaching up to lay a hand on the other’s cheek. “I’m not going anywhere just cuz you had a bad day saving lives, y’know. But in the non-stalker way.” he chuckled.
Gwangseon blinked sleepily. “Yeah?” His blinking grew slower as he drifted off, only to be woken a moment later as Jae pulled his hand away. Gwangseon was about to get angry when his partner walked into the room. As they ate the food she had brought they talked about various things including Jae’s previous comeback, to which Gwangseon made some comments he knew he wouldn’t remember the next day. He did remember drifting off into a peaceful sleep.
Jae was still processing everything he’d taken in as Minji left, remaining at the edge of Gwangseon’s bed as the other slept. Eventually he got tired and got up to lay next to the other on Gwangseon’s good side, one arm draped over Gwangseon’s waist as the other tucked beneath his own head. He drifted off, though he woke up on and off as nurses came in every few hours. When Minji came in the next morning, he woke with Gwangseon’s head tucked beneath his. He coudln’t help but smile, letting Minji take over watch duty while he went home to shower and change. He tidied up the apartment, hoping the other would accept the offer to stay over while he healed, before heading back to the hospital.
Gwangseon conversed with his partner, groaning and trying to remember what happened the previous night. No matter how hard he tried all he managed to piece together were fuzzing images but h had no idea what exactly had happened or who was in the images he was able to bring back from the abyss of his morphine high.
Jae stopped to get some food, making sure to get a few options for Gwangseon and Minji before he headed back to the hospital. He kept his hood up despite the heat to hide his face, going inside and making his way to the room. Knocking before he opened the door, he smiled at Minji as he walked in, eyes moving to Gwangseon and lighting up when he realized the other male was awake. “Hello there, Sleeping Beauty.” he teased, holding up the two bags of food. “I brought lunch.”
“Well, lookit there. Songbird is a gentleman, too.” Minji grinned, holding out her hand. “Some for me?”
“Naturally. I can’t have you angry for feeding him and not you.” Jae answered, setting the bags down and pulling out the food for her, handing it over before turnign to Gwangseon. “How do you feel?”
Gwangseon avoided making eye contact with Jae. “I’m fine.” He answered shortly, hoping to skate around anything that happened while he was doped up. He threw a glance at Minji as she began to go to town on her food. He was hungry but he knew he couldn’t feed himself, his dominate arm was ruined at the moment and he refused to be fed again. How he had convinced himself that he was okay with that was beyond him. His focus drifted away to his thoughts as he tried yet again to remember just how much of a fool he made of himself.
Jae didn’t know what, if anything, Gwangseon remembered of the night before, so he fought the urge to run his hand through the other male’s hair. “I brought some stuff that should be easier for you to eat with you good arm.” he offered, moving to sit on the edge of the bed where he’d been most of the night before. “I didn’t know if you’d be okay with being fed again once you weren’t out of it.”
Gwangseon didn’t even turn his head. “I’m not really hungry.” He stomach said otherwise and his face turned bright. “I’m really not.” He looked at Minji for help, pleading with his eyes for her to help him. He knew she would be no help and just closed his eyes to try and exit from this embarrassing moment. “I’m sorry about anything I said last. I don’t really remember what I did or said but I’m sorry.”
“At least eat a snack?” Jae offered before his head tilted as he watched the other. “Why would you be sorry?” He asked, giving Gwanhseon a smile. “You didn’t do anything wrong, Seony.” He promised.
Gwangseon felt uncomfortable and Minji wasn’t helping as she munched on her food. Gwangseon turned a glare in her direction and Jae set food on the table for Gwangseon to eat. “I just know I did something that I shouldn’t have. So that was more an apology for myself.” He bit his lip as he looked at the food. “I really can’t remember anything that happened.” He let his eyes drift up Jae’s body as the male turned to talk with Minji. Jae looked amazing, like always, and Gwangseon found himself feeling insecure in his hospital gown. He shifted the blanket to cover himself more and winced when his shoulder moved.
“I promise you didn’t do anything wrong,” Jae repeated, being distracted by Minji until he heard Gwangseon wince. He immediately turned back, looking the male over. When Gwangseon asked Minji to step out of the room, he waited until the door was closed before he turned his eyes back to the other male, sitting back down and moving to rest a hand on Gwangseon’s knee. “What’s wrong, handsome?” he asked, concern on his face. “Talk to me, Gwangseon, please?”
Gwangseon was scared to even ask but he did anyway. “What happened last night after I woke up? I don’t remember anything and I hate that, please tell me.” He couldn’t even look at Jae when he asked. He knew his face was red and he didn’t care about that, it was the fact the he was vulnerable that made him avoid the singer’s eyes. “I want to know what happened but Minji doesn’t know what went on while she was gone but she said you were here.” Now Gwangseon looked up at Jae. “What happened?”
Jae watched the other, opening and closing as he struggled with what to do. “You were pretty out of it.” he began. “You wanted to know about the family, and she said they would all be okay. She went to get a shower an change because she still had blood on her.” He reached out to lay a hand on Gwangseon’s knee. “You wanted sushi, and I messaged Minji to bring you some.” he answered. He hesitated for a long moment. “You called me pretty, and said you wished were pretty too. But you are pretty. You’re beautiful, Gwangseon, but when I told you that, you started crying.” He went quiet for a moment, his thumb brushing over the blanket where Gwangseon’s knee was. “Minji brought us food and you couldn’t eat, so I fed you. I offered to let you stay with me, and you fell asleep. I stayed here overnight so you weren’t alone. Minji came this morning so I could go shower and change.”
After another long moment, he looked up to watch Gwangseon’s face. “Look, I know our schedules are rough to work around, and I’m sure that’s caused problems for you before. But I’m serious about wanting to try. Seeing you the other night after months made me really happy, and I promise no one will know about anything we talk about when it’s just us.” He licked his lips, taking a chance and lifting his hand to try and rest it on Gwangseon’s cheek. “You’re beautiful, Gwangseon. Not just how you look. The way you care about people, your voice.” He smiled at the other. “And I promise I’ll take care of you while you’re hurt.”
Gwangseon startled at the contact with his cheek. He didn’t want to look at Jae. He didn’t want to be vulnerable in front of anyone, especially Jae, and he had done the one thing made him the most vulnerable. In front of Jae. He couldn’t bring himself to turn his head but leaned into Jae’s hand slightly. “That feels nice.” He whispered, not meaning for Jae to hear him. Gwangseon closed his eyes and turned to hide his face in the hand on his cheek. “You are pretty though.” He pressed his lips against the inside of Jae’s hand. “Really. I know I don’t stand a chance, please don’t get my hopes up.”
Jae smiled at the nice comment, moving his thumb to brush over Gwangseon’s skin. “We had this disagreement last night, Seony.” He mused. “If you’re the only one I care about seeing, the real question is who stands a chance against you.” He leaned forward to kiss Gwangseon’s head before gently nuzzling him. “I don’t know why you don’t see it, but I’m gonna make it my goal to help you realize how amazing you are.” He said confidently.
Gwangseon smiled at the movements despite himself. He really did like Jae and if Jae said he had a chance he decided he should take it. “You go and do that, Jae. I’ll be waiting for you to show me.” His smile was glued on his face as he rested his head against the pillow. “I’ll give you until the end of my recovery period to make me fall in love with myself then.” He winced when his shoulder gave a sudden throb and took a deep breath in an attempt to relieve some of the pain.
Jae chuckled a little. “I guess I should start early, then.” he mused, leaning to place a kiss at Gwangseon’s temple. “And what happens if I fall in love with you, too?” he asked in the other’s ear, voice quiet as he stayed close. He was pretty sure it was going to happen; he’d been thinking about Gwangseon for a while. He’d thought about Gwangseon as he’d recorded the vocals for the new song, had pretended the cameras were the other male watching. He frowned a little as Gwangseon winced. “Is it bad?” he asked, pulling back to look at Gwangseon worriedly.

Hyunki entered the bar completely done with the day eveyone felt his entrance as he walked to the bar. “Can I have a scotch. Clean and make it the best youo have.” He leaned on his arm as the bartender poured his drink. As he waited his thoughts ran past the events of the day and reminded him why he was in the bar to begin with. He could hear the clicking of pool balls and walked over to the tables. “You fellas mind if I join in?” He raised his glass and took a sip from his drink easily swallowing.
Jae had just needed a calm night. So he’d gone to teh pool hall down the street from his apartment, sipping a bourbon as he played pool by himself. HEaring a voice, the male turned, running a hand through his hair. The table next to him was refusing to let someone join, and he nodded at the male. “You’re free to join me.” he offered, moving to chalk the end of his stick again.
Hyunki tilted his glass in thanks and approached the table, setting his drink on the side of it. “The name’s Hyunki. You?” He chalked his own stick and looked at the man in front of him. He was far beyond the word handsome and he held himself like he knew it. Hyunki could tell this would be fun and settled in for a good time.
Jae found the other greatly attractive, and he could see the confidence. With a grin, he took another drink of his bourbon. “Jae.” He answered. “You play much?” He asked. Pool was something he’d started a year ago at his company. He wasn’t the best, but he was good.
Hyunki knew better than to fall for attractive men without knowing which way they swung. ‘Been ther, done that.’ He thought as he watched Jae sip his drink. “Not really, I spend most of my time in the office. I’m a biochemist so not much time to hang out at bars. I just had a bad day today is all. I don’t even know how to play really, those guys missed a chance for free money.” He spoke the last part loud enough that the other table could hear. He shrugged and took another drink of his drink. “How does this work again?”
The halfling smiled at the other male, giving an obvious once over. “I play a little. Mostly during long days.” he mused. “I don’t play for money, mostly for fun.”  he answered, going to set up the balls in the triangle. Taking the white ball, he set it at the opposite end and lined the stick up to make a shot. “Just make the white ball hit another to make it in a pocket.” he said, eyes lining up and taking the shot. The balls broke with a loud crack, scattering among the table, though none made it into the slots. “The first one to make a certain style of the balls shoots to get those in. As long as you make shots, you can go until you miss.” he explained, twirling the stick around his hand before going to take another drink. “You make a shot with the other player’s ball and it’s their turn.
“Yeah, I’m just gonna hit whatever. I don’t care. I just want to let off some steam.” Hyunki sipped his drink again and sat on the side of the table. “Sorry if that bothers you, I could leave you alone if it does.” He let out a sigh and thought back to why he was here in the first place. He had been working on a new project with his boss when he had seen the one person that made him want to drink until he was numb. The one person who knew he wasn’t straight. The one and only person Hyunki had embarrassed himself n front of. Hyunki swallowed the rest of his drink and turned his attention back to the person at the table with him. Jae was better looking than Hangyeom but it wasn’t just that. Something about Jae was different and Hyunki liked it, though he refused to believe that was the case.
A fight broke out at the bar and Hyunki winced as glasses and bottles were being broken everywhere. “Oops, my bad. Should’ve been a bit more careful.” With a deep breath he centered his emotions and brought any residuele bad energy back to himself. “My fault.” He mumbled under his breath, smoothing out the few wrinkles in his shirt. He looked back at Jae and smiled. “Sorry.”
Jae watched the other, shrugging. “No big deal. I could use some company.” He felt the surge of energy, eyes briefly flickering around the pupil. He tilted his head as there was suddenly a fight, then hummed thoughtfully as it suddenly stopped. He subconsciously fiddled with the protection bracelet his father had made and given him the entire time, eyes watching Hyunki. “Are you okay?” he wondered aloud. He moved to stand closer to the table. “It looks like you might need more than one game of pool.” he mused, eyes glancing towards the bar where the mess was being cleaned up.
Hyunki chuckled a bit. “Yeah, maybe. Real bad day.” Hyunki raised an eyebrow at Jae when he spotted the bracelet. “A protection band? I wear mine as a anklet.” He lifted his slacks just enough to see the item decorating his ankle. “Easier to trick people when needed and I don’t get yelled at when I’m at work.” He smiled a bit and dropped his pants leg so that it brushed his dress shoes lightly. Hyunki mindlessly pulled out a jade hairpin and spun it between his fingers. It had been passed down through his family for generations and given that he was an only child he inherited it instead of a female. It served as a second nature to spin the hair piece when he thought he might lose control, he’d been doing it since college. “Pool might not help at all.”
Jae gave a glance at his wrist. “My father made it for me when I was young.” he replied. “I never take it off.” he shrugged. The bracelet was the only consistent jewelry in his career, though he did have a love for earrings. He watched the other man for a moment. “Crowds don’t usually help after a bad day. The park is quiet and just about empty this time of night. We could go there?” he asked. “Sometimes fresh air and quiet helps me out.”
Hyun-Ki shrugged. “Might as well.” After paying for their drinks, he followed Jae out of the bar and to the park walking along the paths until they came to a bench. They sat down and Hyun-Ki let out a loud sigh. He pulled his legs up in front of him. “It’s always the people you least expect to see that show up out of nowhere.” He wished he still had a drink and that he could just drown everything in alcohol so he could forget, at least for a little while.
Jae walked alongside Hyunki, letting himself relax at the familiar surroundings of nature. The witch half of his blood liked nature the most, it relaxed and gave him the energy he needed in his day to day. Moving to sit next to the other, he leaned back, hands tucked into his jacket until Hyunki spoke. Looking at the other, he tilted his head, red hair falling into his face. “Ex, or something more complicated?” He asked.
“More like the only guy I have ever fallen in love with but found out he was straight after completely embarrassing myself in front of him.” He spun the jade hairpin again. “Oh, and he had a girlfriend too.” He laughed at himself. “I spent the next two years drinking my problems away before refocusing on my degree. I never expected him to show up at my job and start asking questions about me and my life right now. Plus I have to work on my current project with him because his company is helping with the costs and such.” Hyun-Ki really wished he had chosen a different line of work but he loved what he did even if that meant that he had to work with the one person who had seen him at his weakest. He stopped spinning the hairpin and pointed it at Jae. “So I would say more complicated than an ex.”
Jae whistled low. “Yeah, I would definitely call that more complicated.” he mused, looking away from Hyunki as he nodded. “I would say ignore him, but honestly, work puts us all in a situation we don’t like at one point or another.” He licked his lips as he thought. He had been put in several awkward positions given his own sexuality, being one of few bisexual idols out caused a few awkward situations. Somehow, sitting with Hyunki didn’t feel awkward. “A game of pool may not be a whole lot, but maybe some fun that’s a little more exerting would help?” he offered, slowly looking back at the other.
Hyun-Ki bit his lip, picking up on what his companion was implying. He turned his head and took in every detail he could that made up the man next to him. “Depends on what you have in mind.” Hyun-Ki placed the hairpin he still held back into his pocket and turned to face Jae fully, a smirk decorating his face as his eyebrow shot up. “What exactly is it you want, mister?”
Jae gave a an arched brow, cocking his head to one side. “I mean, you’re absolutely beautiful. And I’m sure we could both use some stress relief from time to time. I don’t see why we can’t help each other.” he offered. “My place isn’t far. We can switch numbers after and hook up whenever one or both of us needs a release.” He shrugged, moving to brush some of Hyunki’s hair from his face. “What do you say?”
Hyun-Ki stood up and brushed his shirt to get the non-existent wrinkles out of it. He turned to Jae and waved his arm in a lead the way manner. “After you my good sir.” Hyun-Ki smiled as Jae walked in front of him, gladly watching as he walked away a bit before following. “Where exactly do you live? Exactly how far is not far?” Hyun-Ki asked bumping lightly into Jae as he walked side by side with him.
Jae paused when he noticed Hyunki was slightly behind him, turning to look back. “I live a few blocks away. Had a long day at work and didn’t want to go home yet, so I went to the bar.” he answered, glancing at the other as they walked the path back to where his loft was. “Happy I did, too.” he mused, laughing quietly as Hyunki nudged him. “We’ll be there in a few minutes.”
Hyun-Ki nodded and silently walked next to Jae as they progressed to their destination. He was beginning to second guess his decision but pushed any doubts to the back of his mind, just wanting to forget about Hangyeom for the night. He fell slightly behind Jae as his thoughts wondered, merely following Jae back to his home as an instinct. When Jae stopped Hyun-Ki almost bumped into him “Sorry.”
Jae noticed the way Hyunki went quiet, but didn’t comment on it, moving to unlock the door and turn the living room light on. “What’s going on in that pretty head of yours, hmm?” he asked, reachign up to run his fingers through Hyunki’s hair.

J. Kyung | Original Muse
Muse Name: Jae Lin Kyung
Face Claim: Nakamoto Yuta
Fandom: N/A
Age: 25
Birthday: July 17th
Species: Siren/Witch Hybrid
Sexual Preference: Bisexual
Family: Han Kyung [father], Yukia Kyung [mother]
Abilities:  Enhanced healing and senses, perfect pitch and when Jae really gets deep into song, his voice beckons people to listen.
History: Jae was an only child, born to what he thought were normal human parents. He grew up in a fairly happy family, his parents owning a popular little dive and karaoke bar where they lived. His mother often sang, and Jae was often told his mother’s voice could soothe even the coldest hearted person. Jae loved listening to his mom sing, and from a young age, he would harmonize with her. Though he wasn’t aware, his parents were concerned that he would inherit gifts from his mother. He fell in love with music and theater, having the full support of both parents the entire way. In high school, he got picked on a bit for his love of theater and dance, but Jae wasn’t necessarily the type of athletic to be good at sports. He did play them from time to time, but his heart wasn’t in it. He became increasingly popular as he got older, his voice enchanting. During his tenure at the high school, any musical was sold out, and people often claimed that when they heard him sing, they were focused on him and their minds cleared. His senior year, Jae was the star of the musical and as predicted, the show was sold out to the point they added four extra shows.
After graduation, Jae decided to go to New York to be on Broadway. It was then that his parents revealed why he was so good at performing. He was half siren, and unlike his mother, who could sway people to her will, Jae’s voice could calm those who heard him sing. Jae decided he would use that power to help people. When he first got to New York, it took two years before he got a role, but once he did, he quickly became popular and he’s now one of the most sought after performers for Broadway. It was during a performance that he was noticed by a staff member of a record label ZB, who had a branch in New York, who eventually recruited Jae to be an artist. He quickly became popular worldwide. The company began planning a world tour, and Jae began keeping touch with his fans to let them know he was okay and excited to meet them. He still keeps in contact with his parents, calling them weekly to keep them updated.

Ryuji paced nervously outside the cafe, he’s new to this human side of town. Having been raised and surrounded by dragons his whole life he’s having to adapt to human life. He’s only lived in this town for two months and one night after seeing countless ads he decided to sign up on an online dating site. He immediately got an match and now he’s to him in person. He couldn’t believe that he’s actually doing this. All he knows is that he doesn’t want to screw this up. Ryuji took a deep breath before wiping his sweaty hands on his pants before reaching for the door handle and finally walking in.
Jae tried to keep as few eyes on him as possible, lifting his cup to take a sip of the coffee, hazel eyes looking up as the door opened and pausing as he caught sight of the new person walking in. It wasn’t hard to pick out the one he was waiting for, and it took a lot not to choke on his drink. The other was much prettier than the picture he’d used and Jae couldn’t help but smile as he set the cup down, keeping his eyes on the other as he moved to wave a little, hoping to catch the other’s eye.
Ryuji stepped inside, his eyes looking around the room for the one he was here to meet. He nervously played with the choker around his neck as he made eye contact with him. He was way more handsome in person than he thought he was going to be. Ryuji waved shyly as he made his way over to the table and sat down in front of him. He stared at the man in front of him in awe, Ryu just couldn’t believe that this man was real and was willing to have a conversation with him. He cleared his throat and crossing his hands in front of him before speaking.
“Hi.”
Jae grinned as the other approached, happy to be joined by the other. “Hi.” He greeted, moving to look down at his hands around the cup. “I will admit, uhm, I was really nervous about this.” He began, licking his lips. “Can I get you a coffee?”
“Yes please a coffee would be nice.” Ryu said as he watched as Jae’s tongue traced his bottom lip and gulped. He didn’t know how to start a normal conversation. “So, what made you sign up for online dating? I mean you could have anyone you wanted, yet you’re here with me.”
Jae moved to sit up a little, nodding. “Is there a certain kind you prefer? The waitress should be back in a moment.” he offered. He bit his lower lip at the inquiry. “Hoenstly, I wanted to meet someone outside of my work colleagues.” he answered. “It can get kind of stressful in my line of work.” He moved to take another sip from his coffee, tilting his head as he watched the other. “Where are my manners, though. I’m Jae.” He held out his hand to shake Ryuji’s, smiling warmly.
“Coffee with a bit of milk and sugar would be fine.” Ryuji replied as he watched Jae’s hand come towards him for him to shake. “Hi I’m Ryuji.” He said sweetly with a smile as he shook Jae’s hand back. Ryuji couldn’t get over the sparks that got sent his spine once their hands connected. He quickly took his hand back to rest it back on his lap. This man was beginning to make him feel things and Ryuji didn’t know how to handle it. He’s never felt this way before and he was started to freak out a bit.
“Pleasure to meet you in person, Ryuji.” Jae replied, the spark that went through him had him shook in a subtle way, tongue dragging over his lips for a moment as he smiled. His eyes were torn away as the waitress came up to take an order. Jae ordered the new coffee, taking the offered menus from the woman and handing one to Ryuji. “What about you? Why did you join the site?” he asked, setting his menu on the table in front of him.
“I wanted to get closer to my human side.” Ryuji said as he glared at the waitress walked away from the table, he didn’t like the way her scent mixed with Jae’s. There was something about the way he smelled that calmed him in a way. Ryuji quickly calmed his composer before he spoke again. “I’ve been on my own for so long that I’ve lost touch with my other side.”
Jae tilted his head at the words, giving a smile. “Not a human either, I gather?” he mused, glad that he didn’t have to have the conversation explaining his unique heritage. His finger traced the rim of his cup for a moment, glad when the waitress walked away. “Well, you won’t have to be alone anymore.” he assured. “I should probably let you know that in the next couple of months, I’m gonna be gone for a bit. My tour starts, and it lasts for close to a year.” He explained. “But I’m sure you could come along if you wanted? I just have to talk to my producer.”
“Raised by dragons up in mountains. I never asked about my birth mother nor do I care to know where she is. I loved my life the way it was until that night.” Ryuji trailed of in a sad tone. He didn’t want to have that kind of conversation right now. Right now what was important was getting to know Jae, who was apparently going on tour soon. “I’d like to come along actually. I’ve always wanted to travel the world. If your producer lets me anyways.” Ryuji said with a slight blush to his cheeks. He couldn’t believe he just offered to travel with a man he just met, but there was just something about him that he couldn’t let go. He didn’t want Jae to leave and forget about him.
Jae nodded as he listened, lifting his cup to take another sip. He noticed the sad change in scent and Ryuji’s tone before he changed the subject. Jae wasn’t going tonpress on what had happened. “Im a halfling myself. Dad’s a witch, mom’s a siren.” He explained. “They moved back to Osaka after I graduated.” He missed his parents, but he got to tall them all the time, which helped. “I don’t see why he wouldn’t. Yoochan’s pretty chill most of the time.” He explained, pausing as a couple of teens walked up and asked for an autograph. Jae chuckled and obliged, signing and leaving notes, even taking a few pictures with the group before they left in a fit of happy giggles. Jae shook his head as he watched them, amused. “And here I was hoping to not be recognized.”
Ryuji watched as the corner of Jae’s crinkled when he smiled. He liked his smile and he wanted to be the one to put it there. “Does it get hard sometimes? Being a somebody?” Ryuji asked placing his cold and shaky hands on the table. It was getting kind of crowded in the somewhat small cafe. Being around so many humans at one time made him a bit nervous.
Jae opened his mouth and then closed it. “I mean, sometimes?” He mused, tilting his head as he leaned back in the booth. “It helps being with a small label, honestly. I don’t get recognized as often as some people in the spotlight.” He anawered. “I haven’t had any insane fans yet, but I know it’s a possibility.” He smiled as the waitress brought Ryuji’s coffee, nodding at her as she walked away. He did notice the change, arching a brow. “Are you gonna be okay? We can go somewhere less crowded if you want.”
Ryuji brought the cup up to his lips and took a small sip. Placing the cup back down he wiped his hands on top of his thighs and sat up a bit. “No. No I need to get used to it. I mean if I’m going to be travelling I need to get used to crowds at some point right?” Ryuji chuckled slightly. He knew it would just be easier for them to go someplace else but just being around Jae made him feel fine. Jae made everything going on around them disappear and that’s all that mattered to Ryuji.
Jae wat hed the other, wanting to keep an eye on him with the clear unease Ryuji was feeling. “Well, logically, yes.” He agreed. “But small steps can help sometimes, rather than just jumping in?” He asked. “I don’t want you to be uncomfortable, especially since this is a date.” He moved to look at the menu. “Anything I can do to distract you?”
“I know this is a bit forward, but would you mind holding my hand?” Ryuji asked timidly. He needed to be close to Jae or at least touch him. Knowing Jae was an halfling made him feel comfortable and sort of normal. Jae was quickly finding his way into his heart and Ryuji was not about to let him go. His brain raced as he thought of ways to court him. He want to know more about Jae other than the fact that he was famous. “Do you enjoy shiny things?”
Jae didn’t even think to hesitate, reaching over to curl his fingers around Ryuji’s hand. “I wouldn’t mind at all.” He really couldn’t wait to show Ryuji to his team, he was certain they would love him. “I do like shiny things, but nothing overly sparkly.” he explained. “My stylist says I’m a simple kind of person.” he thought for a moment, free hand moving to toy with one of the rings on his choker, nodding to himself. “I’m just not a flashy person. Some of the outfits for concerts can get flashy, but that’s usually because of the concept.” He gave Ryuji a smile and ran his thumb over the back of the other’s hand. “Are you hungry?”
Ryuji blushed when Jae’s hand intertwined with his. “Hungry? I’m starving. I could eat anything at this point.” Ryuji said as he looked down at the menu. There was so many things to choose from and everything looked so good. His stomach growled as he scanned the paper. “Ah I can’t choose. What would you recommend?”
Jae couldn’t help but chuckle at how cute the other was. “Given you’re half dragon, you should probably take in more protein. So why don’t we do a variety of items and share?” he mused, not letting go of Ryuji’s hand as he looked over the menu. “How does that sound?”
Ryuji couldn’t help but bounce in his seat a bit. “Yes that sounds wonderful. Let’s do it.” Ryuji said as he lightly squeezed Jae’s hand. “What’s your favorite thing to eat? I’d love to cook for you some time.” Ryuji loved to cook, it was one of his favorite pass times. He pretty much taught himself how to cook and was surprised that he was actually good it.
Jae smiled at the reaction, unable to look away. Ryuji was adorable, and he just wanted to keep him around at all times. “Favorite thing like my parents’ cooking? Or like as a restaurant food?” he asked, pausing as the waitress came over to order the various food for them. When the waitress was gone again, his attention was immediately back on Ryuji. “From restaurant, I’d say a good seafood and steak combo, with veggies and rice. Especially with crab and shrimp. As for food from home? My mom makes really good sukiyaki, and my dad makes the best tempura.” He smiled as he spoke, thumb continuing to brush along the back of Ryuji’s hand. “What about you?”
Ryuji tilted his head slightly as he thought about his favorite foods. “I’d say that favorite food would be Kalguksu. My step mother made it for me all the time. I loved it so much I asked her to teach me how to make it. It’s the only thing I have left of her.” His sentence trailed off as he ran his tongue over his bottom lip. “I also enjoy a variety of melons. But I love all kinds of foods. I’m open to trying new things as well.” Ryuji spoke with the biggest grin on his face.
Jae hummed. “Teach me sometime?” he asked. “My parents taught me to cook, maybe I can make it for you?” Seeing the brief change in Ryuji’s demeanor, he squeezed his hand gently, trying to comfort the other even though he didn’t know whatthe story was behind it. “Well, travelling the world will give us both plenty of opportunity for new things.” He promised.
“Of course I’ll teach you.” Ryuji smiled. He felt so full of love. He hasn’t felt happy in years. Being on his own from the age of 16 he had forgotten how to love and how to be loved. “I suppose we should order our food? I might end up eating you if I don’t get fed soon.” He laughed as he winked at Jae.
Jae smiled at the words, nodding. “Sounds like a plan. Maybe that can be our next date?” he offered, tilting his head. Platinum hair shifted into his eyes with the movement, but he didn’t mind. He smirked at the comment, enamored of the half dragon. “Maybe later, little dragon.” he teased back, lifting their hands to kiss Ryuji’s hand. “Food first, though, yeah?” he asked, waving the waitress over.
After placing their order and receiving it moments later they began to eat their meal in comfortable silence. Ryuji loved that Jae never let go of his hand the entire time they ate. Ryuji picked up a piece of meat with fork he was eating with and held it up to Jae to eat. He watched as the man opened his mouth to eat the meat. He was beautiful even as he ate, Ryuji could watch him all day. “ Ah I’ve eaten a bit too much. I’m starting to get sleepy.” Ryuji mumbled as tears glazed over his eyes. He knew that he shouldn’t have eaten so much because he always gets so tired afterwards. Ryuji yawned as he laid his head on the table struggling to stay awake.
Jae was more than happy to share the meal, even eating when Ryuji offered him food. Tilting his head, he smiled at the comment. “Should I take you home?” he asked, thumb tracing along Ryuji’s hand as he spoke. “You can get some sleep, we can meet up later for dinner?”
Ryuji tried to sit up but was too sleepy to do so. “Wanna go with you. Don’t leave me.” He mumbled out sleepily. Ryuji didn’t want to go home to his crappy apartment on the bad side of town. He hated being there alone. He knew how to defend his self but even an half dragon had their limits. He had the enhanced speed and all that jazz, but it felt like his life would just be so much more simpler if he could just shift.
“Awwwh,” Jae cooed, moving to place the money for the food and standing up. “Come on, I’ll take you to my place and you can take a nap.” he assured, half carrying Ryuji out to his car and helping the other inside, even buckling Ryuji in. Walking around, he got in the driver’s seat and drove to his loft, moving to help Ryuji to the elevator, holding the other up on the way to the floor where he stayed. Once the elevator stopped, he led the way down the hall to his door, unlocking it and then helping Ryuji to the couch. “Get some sleep. I’ll go get a blanket.” he assured, going to fetch a blanket and drape it over the other halfling. By the time he got back from the hall closet, the other was asleep. He chuckled and moved to cover Ryuji, going to the little office he had to work on memorizing some of the new song he’d received.
Ryuji stretched and rolled over resulting of him falling off of the couch he was sleeping on. He hit the floor with a thud, sitting up groaning as he rubbed his now sore shoulder he looked around the room he was in. He had no idea where he was. He tried not to freak out at his unfamiliar surroundings. Standing up he picked the blanket up off the ground and wrapped it around his shoulders. He began to walk around in search of Jae, the thought of being away from him made his anxiety sky rocket. He looked at the pictures on the wall one of being of Jae and his parents. Tears made there way into his eyes and he thought of his parents, family and friends. He just missed them so much.
Jae was in the office area, leaned back as he sang over the notes, not wanting to mess up when he finally got to do recording. Hearing the thud, though, he moved to get up and check on Ryuji. “Ryuji?” he asked, tilting his head as he saw the tears in the other’s eyes. “Hey, don’t cry. It’s okay, you just fell asleep is all.” he promised, moving to run a hand through the dragon’s hair. “I was just in the other room practicing.”
“No it’s not that.” Ryuji sniffled. “I just miss them so much. I hate being alone and they knew that. They all did! But they left me anyways.” Ryuji sobbed into Jae’s shoulder. “Please. please don’t make me go back. I hate it there so much.” Ryuji whispered out wrinkling Jae’s shirt in the process. “I’m sorry. Oh my goodness I’m making a fool out of myself.” Ryuji said stepping away from Jae and crossing his arms in front of him. “Forget I said any of that.” Ryuji made his way back into the living room grabbing his phone before heading towards the door. He needed to get out. He felt so stupid for saying all of that. Jae didn’t need to get involved in his problems, he probably had his own problems to deal with. He made his way down to the elevator. He stopped in front of the elevator before sobbing once more of the fact that he had no idea where he was going.
Jae felt terrible for the other, reaching out to rest his arms around Ryuji’s shoulders. “You don’t have to be alone. You have me now.” he answered, startled at the sudden change. “No, it’s fine.” He was confused as he watched the other move about the room, trying to stop him. “Ryuji, wait.” he said, following the other out the door and down the hall to the elevator. “Ryuji!” he called, reaching to take the halfling’s hand and urge him to look at him. “It’s okay, I promise. You don’t have to be alone. You can stay here.” he assured, moving to squeeze Ryuji’s hand. “Come back inside, okay? I’ll make us some tea.”
Ryuji followed Jae back inside closing the door behind him before making his way to the couch. He watched as Jae went into the kitchen to make some tea. He felt so pitiful. He just made a complete fool of his self in front Jae and now there was no going back. He looked up as Jae came back into the living room with two cups of tea and set them down on the coffee table. Ryuji moved to curl up on the other side of the couch sniffling. “I’m so sorry.” His voice sounded like he had swallowed a bunch of rocks. His eyes burned and his chest felt heavy. “I didn’t mean to become a burden to you Jae.”
Jae was quick to make tea while keeping an eye on Ryuji. Bringing over the cups, setting them down. He gave the other halfling a confused look. “What are you talking about? You’re not a burden.” he asked, tilting his head and reaching to try and pull Ryuji closer. After a moment, he opened his arms. “Come here?” he asked.
Ryuji quickly crawled over to Jae and climbed into lap. He held on so tight he probably resembled a baby koala. He nuzzled his face into Jae’s neck kitten licking a spot on his neck that smelled good before relaxing his body. He closed his eyes as he focused on Jae’s breathing lulling him into a dreamless sleep.
Jae smiled as Ryuji crawled into his lap, moving to grab a blanket and drape it over them. He shivered, breath hitching just a little as he felt the lick, but smiled, settling in as he held Ryuji. After a moment, he began humming the new song he was learning, reaching up to pet the other, falling asleep himself as he comforted the dragon.
Ryuji shifted a little in his sleep. Sitting up still clearly half asleep he rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. He looked down at Jae who was still sleeping on the couch and smiled. The feelings he had for this man was so unreal to him and if this was a dream he never wanted to wake up. Gently getting off of the man’s lap he found his way into Jae’s bedroom to shower. Once clean he realized that he didn’t have a change of clothes and decided to put on one of Jae’s t-shirts. The shirt was long enough on him that he didn’t need to put pants on. Which also worked out in his favor since he didn’t have a change of underwear. Ryuji left Jae’s bedroom and went into the kitchen to get started on breakfast. He made omelets with veggies, sliced some fruit and made so fresh tea. He was just finishing up when he heard movement from the couch.
Jae shifted when Ryuji pulled away, still sleeping peacefully, the blanket settling around his waist. He slept until he could smell food, breathing in and stretching as he looked around. Realizing Ryuji wasn’t with him, he sat up quickly, looking around. “Ryuji?” he asked, standing and walking o the kitchen. He paused as he saw the other cooking, tilting his head. “You raided my shirts?” he teased with a smile, walking over to wrap his arms around Ryuji and rest his chin on the other’s shoulder. “Are you feeling better?”
Ryuji smiled when Jae wrapped his arms around his waist. “Yes I raided your shirts they smell good. Yes I am feeling much better now that you’re here.” Ryuji turned in Jae’s arms to wrap his arms around his neck. He placed a small kiss to Jae’s nose before staring into eyes. Ryuji felt like time had stopped around them as he glanced between Jae’s eyes and lips.
“Good. You really had me worried, y'know.” Jae answered, glad to see the change back to the dragon who had first walked up shyly the day before. His hands moved to play in Ryuji’s hair, caught off guard by the kiss to his nose. He tilted his head a moment before leaning in to kiss Ryuji softly, eyes closing as he held the other.
Their lips pressed together and it felt like fireworks had just been set off. Ryuji felt his body grow warm as he played with the hair at the back of Jae’s neck. “The food will get cold.” Ryuji said in between kisses.
Jae hummed at the feel of fingers in his hair, nipping softly at Ryuji’s lower lip. A low purr in his throat as Ryuji pulled away to speak. “Then maybe we should eat first. Then you can stay here while I work on the new song.” he offered, running a hand through Ryuji’s hair with a smile.
The two moved to the table to eat, Ryuji moving to the variety of fruit to stuff into his face. He moaned out loud as the flavors hit his tongue pallet. It had been so long since he had fresh fruit. Reaching over to grab more fruit he paused as he realized that he was being watched. Swallowing his food, he took a moment to gather his thoughts. “So what’s the name of the song that you’re working on?”
Jae couldn’t help but smile as he watched the other, tilting his head as he ate his omlette before he began on the fruit. “You can have as much as you want, you know.” he promised, plucking some of the fruit out and taking a bite from an apple slice. He hummed at the question. “It’s called ‘I am You’. My producer just sent it over from Seoul, the demo sounds really good and I’m actually excited to learn it.” he answered.
“I hear you sing.” Ryuji smiled. “I promise I’ll be quiet.” Ryuji pleaded. He excitedly bounced in his seat. Ryuji looked at Jae with the cutest smile on his face. “Carry me!” Ryuji said holding his arms up.
Jae laughed as he finished his apple slices, scooting back to walk over and pick the smaller up into his arms. “First we clean up from breakfast. Then you can listen to me practice. Deal?” he asked, kissing Ryuji’s forehead as he ran his fingers through the other’s hair.
It was clear that Jae was extremely focused. He listened to the music and bobbed his head to it. He began to hum quietly to himself in the back of the room. He quite liked the song that Jae was working on. He wondered to himself if the song had a name. Standing up quietly he began to his body to the beat, letting the music take over as he continued to hum.
Jae knew he could influence moods with his voice, so when he noticed another voice humming along, he looked up from the music as he sang, smiling as he watched Ryuji. The other hybrid was indeed beautiful and Jae knew there was something haunting him, but he wasn’t going to press. When the dragon was ready, Jae knew he would learn about it. When the song finished again, he moved to pause. “You still okay over there?” he asked, titling his head, which caused currently blonde hair to fall into his face.
Ryuji stopped what he was doing when Jae spoke. “I’m fine. Your voice is amazing.” He said in awe, slowly wrapping his arms around himself as he began to get cold. He could listen to Jae sing all day if he could. He felt so calm and collected when he sang. It made him fall more and more in love with him.
Jae smiled, a faint blush painting his cheeks. “It’s a part of being half siren.” he answered. “I can influence moods, but I can’t control people like my mom can.” he explained. “Makes my career a lot more fun, makes it more satisfying, when I know my fans understand the emotion behind each performance.” Seeing the other wrap his arms around himself, he moved to open his arms. “Are you cold? I can hold you if you want.” he offered.
Ryuji moved to straddle Jae’s thighs. He placed his head into his neck and inhaled. Jae smelled so good, causing Ryuji to shift his hips a bit. He began to place tiny butterfly kisses on his neck. Jae’s body was so warm against his body he felt like he was in a different state of mind set. It felt like his body wasn’t his own anymore, moving on its own accord.
Jae reached up to brush his fingers through his dragon’s hair, eyes closing at the feel of lips on his neck. With a low hum, he tilted his head back, lips curved into a smile. “That feels nice.” he complimented, reluctantly pulling back and adjusting to press his lips to Ryuji’s again, hands moving to settle at the other’s hips.
A noise of surprise escaped him as he felt Jae’s hands cover his hips. He brought his hands up to run his fingers through Jae’s hair. He loved the way Jae’s lips felt on his. Deciding to get a bit frisky, Ryuji took the chance to nibble on Jae’s bottom lip hoping to get an reaction out of him.
Jae smiled as he moved to pull Ryuji closer, one hand moving to rest at the small of his back. A shudder of pleasure dropped down his spine as Ryuji’s teeth found his lower lip, a quiet moan passing his throat as he urged Ryuji closer against him. “Mmmm…should I take you to bed, little dragon?” he whispered softly, opening his eyes to look at Ryuji with a smile.
Ryuji practically purred with excitement slightly arching his back. He shuddered at Jae’s whisper. “Please.”
Jae was careful as he stood up and lifted Ryuji, one hand guiding the other’s legs around his waist as he carried the dragon to his room, moving to gently place Ryuji on the bed. “Are you sure?” he asked, pulling back just enough to look at Ryuji, one hand moving to cup the other’s cheek.
Ryuji fell back against the bed and looked into Jae’s eyes. He was more than sure. Ryuji knew that as long that he was Jae everything would be okay. “Yes, I am more than sure. You’re here with me.” He spoke with pure confidence.
Jae watched Ryuji for a moment before leaning down to kiss him again, one hand holding him up while the other gently raised the shirt the dragon wore. Breaking the kiss, he tilted his head to trail kisses down Ryuji’s neck and shoulder. His senses were tuned to the smaller male, watching for the slightest notion that he should stop, though for some reason, he knew Ryuji wouldn’t give that clue. Something had connected them, which Jae still wasn’t sure how to explain, but he wasn’t going to just let his dragon go. His lips found their way back to Ryuji’s, tongue passing over Ryuji’s lower lip, asking for permission to deepen the kiss.
Ryuji granted entrance to Jae when his tongue licked his lower lip. He shuddered with pleasure as Jae’s hands moved over his body. He moaned out as he spread his legs so Jae could settle in between them. His hands reached down to Jae’s shirt to pull it over his head, before his lips attached to his chest. He hooked his legs around Jae as his hands gripped his body his nails slightly digging in.
Jae let the shirt be pulled off, adjusting to press closer against the other, pulling back after a long moment to breathe. His hands roamed over bare skin, nails faintly catching on skin. “You’re so pretty, Ryuji.” he whispered against the dragon’s lips, taking a moment to just admire the way the other looked on his bed. “Can I keep you?”
Ryuji practically mewled. There was slight shine to his skin as he was laid out underneath Jae. “Keep me forever baby.”
Jae smiled and moved to kiss Ryuji again, fingers trailing softly of the other before he pulled back to finish undressing. He moved to crawl into bed next to Ryuji, reachign to pull the other into his lap as he leaned back against the headboard. “I’ll keep you as long as you want me to,” he promised, smiling at the forever in the dragon’s words as he reached to stroke them together.
Ryuji’s head fell back, his mouth opening in a silence. It was his first time being touched in this way, but he trusted Jae with his life. “Jae please. Don’t tease me.” Ryuji whispered out as he ground his hips down on to Jae’s.
“But you’re so beautiful,” Jae whispered softly, kissing at Ryuji’s neck. Teeth nibbled and suckled, wanting to leave a mark as his hand moved, licking over where he’d bitten down. “I wanna make you mine in so many ways.”
“Then do it. I’m all yours.” Ryuji spoke with complete confidence to his voice.
Jae smiled and moved to kiss a trail over the other’s body, eyes closed as he breathed in Ryuji’s scent. As he got to the v of the dragon’s hips, he nibbled at a hip bone. “So beautiful.” he hummed, fingers dancing between Ryuji’s hips to tease along the other’s shaft before reaching to grab a bottle of lube from his nightstand, setting next to them before leaning over to run his tongue along the shaft, teasing it before he moved lower to take Ryuji into his mouth.
Ryuji gasped out Jae’s name. He was in pure bliss as Jae kissed down to his V line before taking him into his mouth. Ryuji’s back completely left the bed as he arched hard. “Oh god Jae! Please!” The halflings’ nails gripped the bed sheets ripping them. He sat up on his elbows, his hair now in his face, to look at Jae. He lifted his hand and curled his finger into the ‘come here’ motion. “Come here baby.” Ryuji whispered before pulling Jae into a heart stopping kiss.
It had been a long time since Jae had been comfortable to be with anyone, his music was just more important to him. But Ryuji was different in a way he couldn’t put into words. He found he liked the way the dragon reacted to him, reluctantly pulling away from his task to return the kiss, hands roaming Ryuji’s body before reachign down to stroke the other.
The two lovers moved together in sync, their bodies reacting to each others calls. Ryuji’s moans were flowing together almost like a song. He enjoyed Jae’s soft and subtle touches here and there. Ryuji bucked his hips when he felt Jae’s fingers near his entrance.
Each movement sent thrills through Jae that he’d never even thought of experiencing. It just felt natural, more in tune than any past relationship he’d tried to have. He pulled back to kiss at Ryuji’s neck. “Do you trust me?” he asked softly, nuzzling the pther halfling as he spoke.
Ryuji nuzzled the male back and smiled. “I trust you with my life.”
Jae felt those words in his very soul. “I’ll take care of you, I promise. I just want to treat you right, I don’t want to hurt you by accident, that would kill me.” He whispered, brushing his nose against Ryuji’s. “I promise it will all be worth it, Ryuji. Okay? Let me take my time and make love to you the right way. Please?”
“Okay. Yes.” Ryuji got out as he licked his dry lips. Jae continued to kiss and touch him, making him arch his back. His lover was making him feel so good that he never wanted this to end. Ryuji relaxed his body as let Jae do whatever he wanted to do to him. As long as Jae was with him, he was fine.
Jae smiled as he took his time, leaving little love bites and as he moved to tease Ryuji’s entrance, mouth taking in the dragon’s shaft. He moaned softly, bobbing his head as he ran his tongue along the bottom of the length. Pulling away, he looked up and licked his lips, tilting his head to kiss up and down the length as he tried to combine the pain of preparing his lover for him with the pleasure of his mouth. Taking his time meant he could watch the way Ryuji responded to him, and he drank it in. When finally he could fit three fingers with relative ease, he moved to kiss Ryuji hard and heated. “You ready, my love?” he asked.
Ryuji could have screamed because of the pleasure he was receiving. He let Jae take his time as he felt the fingers at his entrance. He bit his lip harshly at the burn of him being stretched open, but it soon turned into pleasure which made him melt. “Make love to me Jae.” Ryuji answered Jae when he spoke to him.
There was never a more delightful sound to Jae than the way Ryuji moaned under his kisses and touch. When the dragon answered him, he moved up his body and kissed him as he settled between Ryuji’s legs. Making sure to stroke more lube over his own length, he eased into his lover, tilting his head to gently bite at Ryuji’s neck vein.
Ryuji let out a loud moan at Jae pushing into him. His nail raked down Jae’s back from pain and pleasure. His toes curled as he placed his feet onto Jae’s hips to push him in deeper, making him automatically hitting his sweet spot. “Oh Jae!” Ryuji moaned out as he tried to catch his breath.
Jae couldn’t help the way he was drunk on Ryuji. It was different from anything he’d ever even imagined. It was hard to explain and yet it was palpable, the very need to have everything the other was. Hearing the words, he leaned over to kiss Ryuji hard, moving his free hand to stroke along his beloved’s length. When he pulled back, he ran his tongue over Ryuji’s lower lip. “Let me see you fall apart for me, baby.” he whispered, lips ghosting over Ryuji’s.
With those simple words that Jae spoke, Ryuji clenched around him as came in between them. His eyes rolled to the back of his head as his hands scratched down Jae’s back. Ryuji’s body shook as the waves of pleasure surged through him. His mouth hung open as a silent scream left him, Ryuji couldn’t do anything but breathe at this point. He felt like he was floating on air, that he was no longer in his body. His sense of surrounding were cloudy, but he could still feel Jae in him and around him. He was okay as long as he had Jae.
Jae fell apart at the sheer beauty of the dragon reachign his end. “So beautiful,” he breathed, pressing kisses up Ryuji’s neck to his lips, letting them both ride their high out. He relaxed enough to turn them on their sides, running his hand through Ryuji’s hair. Moving to hold Ryuji close to him, he kissed his forehead. He didn’t want to move yet, content to rest with Ryuji.
Ryuji focused on breathing as he rested with his eyes closed. Jae had sucked every ounce of energy out of him but it was all worth it. once his breathing was back to normal Ryuji lifted an arm to run his fingers through Jae’s hair. Ryuji was content with their position and continued to pet Jae’s hair. “You’re beautiful too.” Ryuji managed to get out. His throat was a bit hoarse from his screaming.
A smile curved Jae’s lips, closing his eyes as he enjoyed the pets to his hair. “Would you like something to drink? It might help your throat.” He offered, moving to sit up some. He felt bad that Ryuji’s voice was so hoarse, but at the same time, he was glad. It showed he’d done well in fully pleasing his boyfriend. The reminder that Ryuji had agreed to be with him made him smile as he leaned over. “Stay here, I’ll get you something to drink and to clean us up.” He promised, climbing from bed to go get a glass of ice water, bringing it back before going to get a warm rag to clean them both up.
Ryuji hummed as the warm rag ran over his body. Once the two of them had been cleaned up Ryuji sat up to take a few sips of his water. “You really did a number on me.” Ryuji was sore from the hips down. He could barely feel his legs. “Cuddle me.” Ryuji sleepily mumbled out as he reached his arm up in search of Jae. His body was growing cold and he was growing restless at the fact that Jae wasn’t in the bed with him.
“I wanted to make sure I did. I didn’t mean to make your voice raw though.” Jae answered as he took time to make sure they were both clean before moving to pull the blankets back. “Come on, we’ll take a nap and then I’ll make us some lunch.” he promised, reaching to pull Ryuji to him, kissing him softly. He moved to turn on some music on his phone, setting it on his nightstand as he relaxed into the bed, holding his dragon to him.
When Ryuji woke up he stretched a bit as he turned his head to look at his sleeping boyfriend. He knew that neither of them had made it official yet, but did they really need to? Ryuji felt the connection and he was sure Jae did too. Ryuji winced a bit as his back still ached a bit as he tried to sit up. His eyebrows furrowed when he noticed that something just didn’t feel quite right. Reaching behind him Ryuji felt something cold and scaly. Ryuji brought his attention to the side of him and let out a loud scream.
Jae was sleeping peacefully when Ryuji’s scream startled him awake. He jumped as he sat up, sleepily looking up. “Ryuji, what’s wrong?” he asked, blinking as he reached up to rub his eye with the back of his hand.
Ryuji shot out of the bed and spun in circles. “I have a fucking tail!” Ryuji was panicking because this has never happened to him before. He had no idea that he could ever remotely shift, given that he was only a half dragon. “What do I do? I didn’t even know I can shift.” Ryuji stopped spinning just in time to see Jae staring wide-eyed at his newly equipt tail.
Jae blinked as he turned his hand to rub his eye with the ball of his hand. “I mean, you’re still half dragon, baby.” he said sleepily. “You still have dragon traits, even if you aren’t aware.” He yawned, sitting up better and patting the bed. “Come on, come back to bed.” he mused, opening his arms. “We’ll figure it out, just come back to bed.”
Ryuji tilted his head at his boyfriend. How could he sleep at a time like this!? Sighing Ryuji plopped down onto the bed and pouted. How was he supposed to function like this. Ryuji waited until Jae has fell back into a deep sleep before he snuck out of the room. He made a cup tea and sat on the floor. Ryuji concentrated on trying to make the tail disappear but he only managed to make it move side to side. Ryuji flopped over to his side, he thought about going back into the room to beat Jae with his tail but he decided against it. Ryuji looked over at the TV and began to distract himself with a movie.
Jae heard Ryuji go back downstairs and crawled out of bed. He didn’t know how to use his magic, he’d never tried to use it. Putting on a pair of boxers and some dark shorts, he blinked as he try to make himself wake up. Still groggy, he made his way back to where Ryuji was, rubbing his eyes. “You’ll give yourself a headache, you know.” he murmured, walking over to sit next to the other halfling. He absently reaching to take the tail into his hand. “It’s a pretty color, though.” he mused, still clearly out of it.

Jae Kyung || OC
Tumblr media
Name: Jae Lin Kyung
Alias: N/A
Face Claim: Yuta Nakamoto
Age: 25
Species: Witch/Siren Hybrid
Special Abilities/Powers: Enhanced healing and senses, perfect pitch and when Jae really gets deep into song, his voice beckons people to listen.
He still keeps in contact with his parents, calling them weekly to keep them updated.

New songs make Jae nervous, so for each one, he works on it as much as possible until he has it down. Much like any artist, Jae is prone to bouts of anxiety, but most of the time his is centered on wanting every sing perfect. He's hyper-critical of his vocals and dance, and has been known among the staff to not sleep for up to three days while he perfects new choreography.

The music was recorded, the concept photos taken and the locations picked for the filming. Jae was excited for the holiday album to release and the outfits that had been chosen were aesthetically pleasing. He walked out of the company building, headed to the little coffee shop down the street that he liked so much. His jacket was left open, but his hands were in his pockets as he walked, humming the song quietly.

Jae sat at the table, finger teasing around the rim of the lid to his cup. First dates were always awkward, even before he’d been signed and was becoming a bigger and bigger star on the music map. He knew it was probably not his best idea to try and start a relationship, have some kind of connection with his tour starting up in just over a month, but Jae was honestly trying hard to at least have friends that weren’t his manager, fellow writers and team at the company. So he was trying the whole blind date thing and now he was sitting and waiting for the other person to arrive. He’d shown up a little early and ordered a coffee, not sure how this would go. Reaching up, he ran a hand through his hair, currently a platinum blonde for the newest album, and let a brief sigh escape him.
