hey you guys,
this petition was shared with me by a friend who is too scared to post about it publically, but this is about a 14 year old who was held without cause and illegally at a mental ward for several days, the family are currently seeking justice for what happened. The petition is in russian, but I’m gonna post a translation under the cut.
On the morning of September 8, Alena was discharged from the dispensary and released home. It is difficult to convey in words how happy our family is with her return. But we will seek justice to the end - an appeal against the court's decision awaits us. We demand that the court's decision on forced hospitalization be declared illegal. We do not want to live in constant fear that our daughter may be taken away again at any time. *** My name is Olga Pronina, I am the mother and legal representative of 14-year-old schoolgirl Alena Prokudina. My daughter was forcibly placed in a mental hospital for subscribing to the Vkontakte community. On August 24 at five in the morning, an outfit of security officials, about 10 people in full uniform (helmets, masks, weapons, body armor), came to our house where I, my husband and my 14-year-old daughter live. The whole family was asleep. My husband came out to loudly knock on the wall of the house and he was presented with FSB IDs and a document - presumably a search warrant. I have not seen any documents or certificates. No clear answer was given to the question about the reasons for the visit, the words "your youngest daughter", "terrorism" and "VKontakte groups" were heard. FSB officers searched the house and found nothing illegal. The following items were seized: my working laptop, the phone of my youngest daughter, her computer, a broken Tetris, my daughter's albums with drawings and notebooks with personal notes, an air pistol (an air gun, which had long been given to my eldest daughter by a friend, eldest daughter is 22 years old and she has been living for six months separately), a bow and arrow with soft tips (also owned by the eldest daughter, was made for her by her father when she was engaged in the archery section). Also, in Alena's room, all the posters and posters with film actors and landscapes were torn off and confiscated (because of this, the girl is still upset, she collected them for almost a year and glued them on the walls, choosing them according to the composition). After the search, the security officers told me and my daughter to get into the car, without the father of the family, without explaining where we were going. We were brought to the KPND (Krasnoyarsk Regional Psychoneurological Dispensary), where they insisted on the need to sign an agreement on the voluntary hospitalization of my daughter. When I refused, another FSB officer appeared. Upon arrival, this employee communicated with us good-naturedly, confidentially. He said that it would be better for us to sign this agreement, promised us that his daughter would be at home in three days and all the confiscated things would also be returned to us within the specified time. Arriving in a state of shock, my daughter and I agreed, thinking that the current situation was some kind of mistake, and the daughter would be examined and really returned home. On August 27, my child was never returned, and then I revoked the agreement for voluntary hospitalization, after which I was summoned for a conversation with the CPND doctors. At the meeting, the doctors of the dispensary said that the child had no abnormalities. Alena also underwent several tests, which proved that she does not need hospitalization. However, the doctors refused to release the girl, without giving any clear reasons and referring to the FSB. After the search, confiscation of things and the placement of the child in the mental hospital, I was not given any documents about the incident. Later it turned out that after the revocation of the permission for the voluntary hospitalization of my daughter, the head physician of the mental dispensary went to court with a claim for the involuntary hospitalization of my child. The trial took place on September 1, until that time my daughter was kept in the CPND without my permission. At the trial, the claim of the head physician was satisfied, but the claim did not contain any objective evidence of the need to forcibly place my child in a hospital. I would like to ask you to take steps to get the girl back home as soon as possible. Alena is just a child, she is not a criminal.
