So we have two companions with actual bombs in them (Gale and Karlach), two brainwashed companions with their gods being tyrants (Lae'zel and Shadowheart), two companions with some shemy patrons (Gale and Wyll), two companions with magical wounds (Gale and Shadowheart), two former slaves companions being tracked down by their former masters (Astarion and Karlach), and Dark Urge, who is both a child of a tyrannical god and is his slave, basically a bomb of his own.
And then Jaheira, Halsin and Minsc are...normies. Two old druids and a dude talking to a hamster.

Just a little dark thought about the madness that lurks in Astarion's mind if he Ascends. I was thinking about how confident he talks about how no harm will come to Tav if they turn them. And how he would react if you almost died.
Astarion said that he won't let anyone harm you after he turns you into his consort. Though time goes by and you were attacked by a group who were against Astarion's rule. They tried to stake you but luckily they miss your heart. Unfortunately for them, Astarion goes into a rage and kills them all before rushing to your side. Carefully, he takes you back to the mansion. There was a cold and distant look in his eyes when you look up at him. He seems distant as he allows you to heal.
A few months past and he comes to you. He says how sorry he was that you were almost killed. That nobody had the right to take you away from him. He takes your hand and tells you to come with him. You follow him into a large room. It had everything. A bed, rows of bookshelves, a fireplace, a closet filled with clothes. It honestly was like a small house. You stepped into the room with curiosity and awe.
Behind you, you hear Astarion say that he will stay true to his promise that no one will harm you. You hear the door close and you turn around and see that you're the only one in the room. Quickly to rush to the door, only to find that there is no door nob. The whole door is flushed with the wall. You slam your fists against the door only to find that whatever it is made out of was solid.
You could only wait, wondering when Astarion will come back. To pass the time, you pace the room, lay in bed, and read the books provided. Anything to get you through the day. Astarion does visits daily. Though he makes sure that your unable to gain access through the door. He makes love to you. He runs his hand over the stretched scar on your chest caused by the stake. Again he murmurs that no one will ever harm you again.
Days, months.... years? Some amount of time goes by. It's so hard to tell being stuck in this room. You run your tongue over your dull fangs. You can't remember the last time you bit anyone. Your only food source came in jars sent down via a dumbwaiter. You were sure that the books on the shelf once had white pages but were obviously yellow now. Your body was thinner than it once was. Face gaunt. You can barely hold onto your memories. What was your name again? Pet, little love, treasure? It hurt to think back. You laid out on your bed. You can only think of the only thing you want. The door opens and you see a familiar figure. You smile.
Master.
