Somewhere in a small village, a young psychic boy is dreaming. Strange, vivid, surreal dreams of a young mage who travels the land, teaching others his craft, all while being acutely aware of a dark, looming presence. All is well in this peaceful land until that presence emerges from the shadows to strike.

And their plan is...to steal people’s faces?

Yup. You read that right. It’s another trip to miiby deeby, but this time with glorious high-quality Switch graphics. I know a few of these have popped up around the RPC, but dammit, I wanna play Miitopia with everyone’s muses, too. So here’s how this is gonna work.

Fill out this interest checker once for every muse you want to app to this playthrough. As of writing this ( 05 / 01 / 2021 ), there is no hard cap on the number of muses you can app. There’s a ton of roles to assign, and every single one is important, no matter how small! If we come up short on the number of muses need to fill in roles, I’ll throw in some of my assorted random Miis to fill in the blanks.

Besides Lucas, all roles will be chosen by a random number generator. Your muse could be a party member, the King, the Princess, — yes, even the horse is on the table. Your muse might be the horse. I’m not joking.

Lucas is going to be the Great Sage, because 1) I already have an ongoing file where he’s the protagonist, so I wanna give someone else a chance, and 2) people keep telling me it’s apparently a perfect fit, and that gave me sage Lucas brainrot.

Which segues ( sorta ) into the next big rule here: if you’ve played 3DS Miitopia, tag any major plot spoilers and put them under a read more. I haven’t played / seen 3DS Miitopia the whole way through, so while I do know some things, I don’t know everything. Please be considerate of those whose first experience with the game this will be!

There’s not gonna be a hard deadline to apply since as of writing this, we only have the demo for Miitopia HD. I’ll also take applications as the event is ongoing. All a late application means for you is that the muse you app late won’t be able to be retroactively assigned to a role that was already cast before you apped them.

Just a few final housekeeping notes:

You do NOT need to be following / mutuals with me to participate! Just follow the tag #e: miiby deeby but in hd for updates and to see others’ event posts.

Your muse may end up interacting with muses that you haven’t written with before or that you don’t mutually follow. While I encourage new friendships, both IC and OOC, you are not required to write with anyone that makes you uncomfortable just because your muses interacted in Mii form.

Even though RNG will assign roles, I will reroll only in the event that anything problematic happens ( ex. siblings accidentally get assigned roles as romantic interests ).

All outings are assumed to be platonic unless the muns agree to any romantic undertones ( or a ship already exists ).

If anything changes between now and the start of the event, this post will be updated. That said, feel free to spread the word, I hope you’re not tired of seeing a Miitopia event for the umpteenth time, and I hope you have fun!
