So fucking hey. Why does aegann.tumblr.com redirect to here instead of my actual blog?
Tumblr media
This better be a bug and not Staff trying to nix custom blogs because if the latter is the case I'm gonna blow a gasket.

EDIT (29/12/2018): Just adding in my Pillowfort link. NSFW blog and creations blog both have been deactivated. There’s only this blog on Tumblr now.
TL;DR VERSION: I’m distancing myself from Tumblr for the time being. I’ll still be around and I’m not deleting this blog, but it looks like things are going to be wrecked beyond repair come December 17th.
As such, you can find me at...
Twitter: https://twitter.com/punkerbones Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/punkerbones/ Pillowfort: https://www.pillowfort.io/punkerbones AO3: https://archiveofourown.org/users/punkerbones DeviantArt: https://www.deviantart.com/punkerbones
PLEASE NOTE: After some thought, I’m going to be putting my SFW and NSFW together under singular AO3 and DeviantArt accounts. The only reason I ever started doing separate accounts was because of Tumblr. But it is an incredible headache, content goes unpublished and/or missed, and, quite frankly, I don’t think it’s necessary because there are methods and means for me to properly warn viewers and/or readers that the content is NSFW. Everything will come with proper warnings and tags if it’s NSFW, of course. So...there.
I know my blog is a relatively small one, but I adore my friends and followers and have made some amazing friends here.
I’m still not entirely sure what I’m going to do come December 17th when Tumblr enacts their asinine policies. On an individual level, I think I’m in the clear. Most of the NSFW content that I’ve created is written, however I reblog a lot of NSFW art.
This is all completely side-stepping the fact that completely SFW content is getting flagged. I think that that is utter rubbish, too, mind you.
Mostly, I’m just tired of how Tumblr has managed things.
It nauseates me to have porn bot blogs follow me 1-5 times a day, and the Block & Report feature does nothing. If anything, it really seems like this “burn it all down” approach is going to affect the people that played by the rules, tagged their content and/or blog appropriately, and do nothing about the actual, vile trash that’s floating around.
Secondly, I’d heard that custom themes were going to be disabled. If that’s the case, then there goes all of my blogs. I created a blog specifically for promoting my creative works, but I needed a custom theme in order to make it work. Otherwise, it’s a jumbled mess and I’ll have to delete at least one blog because it’d be pointless to keep it.
(On a small, personal side note...this is absolutely infuriating because now I have to come up with a new THIRD design for business cards. Ugh. I’m just leaving Tumblr off the cards from now on.)
I’ve already seen blogs that I like, follow, and enjoy the content (and yes, some of it is NSFW) get flagged. I’ve seen some of the blogs that I follow make posts about how they’re leaving Tumblr or distancing themselves from the website.
Ultimately, I think I’m going to be falling into the latter... I don’t want to lose contact with the friends I have on this website, but I hope that those that would like to stay in contact with me will use the above links.
Now to get to work on updating my accounts...

Hey, Followers!
In light of the Tumblr blunder, I have a quick announcement to make.
I won’t be leaving Tumblr.  At least, not entirely.  I’ll still be around to reblog nonsense and food, and maybe make a text post here and there... but this will definitely be the end of the road for my art being distributed here.
My NSFW art is definitely leaving, and yes, it’s still around... just on a blog where you have to verify that you’re 18+ to enter.  But since Tumblr is flagging that blog anyways, and will be doing away with custom themes that ruin the curtain that has people verify their age... I’m simply going to be getting rid of it entirely.  My SFW art blog is on the fence, but I’ll likely be removing it as well just to avoid the headache.  I’m not sure where I will be hosting any of my art from now on, especially my adult content... but it certainly won’t be here, even though I myself will be.
Below the cut is, uh, a summary of my presence and some insight to why the NSFW art thing is kind of... a disappointing hard hitter for me on a personal level.
I started out on Tumblr out of academic obligation, it having been a requirement to have some sort of blog to showcase my game design portfolio that was being built over the course of my degree.  After about a year into that, I decided to make a personal side blog alongside my academic one so that I could post my personal art... primarily my NSFW art that I was unable to upload anywhere else due to most other site’s strict terms regarding adult content (namely that there isn’t any allowed at all).
Basically, I owe my entire presence here outside of school to having a place to actually post my NSFW art and share it!  Because yes, I had a deviantArt and photobucket and various other places to host my SFW art, but this was the first and only time I was free to post my NSFW art without fear of repercussion such as content removal and/or suspension/termination just on the basis of it being adult content in and of itself.
My side blog of course gradually evolved into more of a general use blog, with all sorts of posts from food to politics to fandom interests to art and animals.  When I gained a significant following that I honest to god never expected to gain, I felt like I was doing my followers an uncomfortable disservice to just openly post my NSFW art on my “main” (side) blog, given many of said followers turned out to be minors.  I removed all traces of my NSFW art from the blog that started it to begin with, and even saw a decrease in reblogged NSFW content.  I transplanted all of my NSFW art to a new side blog that was tucked away with private access only to mutuals who I knew weren’t minors.  Eventually I lifted the password off of the blog, adding a splash/curtain to it that had a clear disclaimer that the blog would contain explicit sexual material and is unsuitable for minors... asking users verify their age.  While I know people can easily lie, it was still an attempt to at least try and have some warning and separation and to keep it out of reach of minors... without having to simply hide my art where no one could see it at all just like days before I found Tumblr.
...But with this change, I can’t even do that.  My entire presence here, aside from school, is due to me having a place to finally freely post my NSFW art.  I of course found hundreds of other reasons to stay and engage, but that was always the primary reason as an artist, given no other site really permits it.  I tried so hard to make sure that people knew what was ahead, tagging things as necessary, flagging my own blog(s) as adult oriented, even adding a curtain to further keep my art away from those who shouldn’t and simply don’t want to see it.  But with custom themes going out, that security is gone.  With adult content being banned, not even a private blog is really an option again either.  I’m simply forced to remove it all, and once again keep it to myself.
For those of you looking forward to more NSFW art from me, I apologize.  For those of you still expecting any NSFW art to be gifted to/made for you, that will still be done... it just won’t be posted publically as previously promised, and will have to be sent to you directly.  NSFW will likely no longer be part of my commissions, but we’ll see.
