I have no clue what he looks like! I can make no judgments here! (RLS gets a pass on this one since the story's from Jim's perspective, but he barely describes the other characters either...)

We have a similar sort of excitability, but he's much less prone to dithering. I'm a lot less calm under fire and don't like getting into situations that I can't instantly get the measure of.

Just sort of casual-friends, I'd think? We don't have a lot of shared interests, and I think I'd become annoying to him pretty quickly. Friends in moderation, sort of.
