Oh yeah-- there's some free-ish games outside of HSR that seems like some people or lots are (thinking about) playing. So far I'm not sure if I'll pick any games, but there are some that I've heard that I'd like to say on whether or not I'd play it or not-- not only that but I have some games that I want to pick (back) up (again).
Do note that it's my opinion, so no hard feelings on what I say about it as I'm a guy who likes games with vibrant flashy aesthetics with some good gameplay and is very much interested in games that are either of the Beat em up Genre, MMORPG genre, fighting game Genre and just games with exploration built in.
That being said...!
Wuthering Waves:
It's general artstyle and the characters didn't really appeal to me, but the fact that it's has HI3 gameplay with the exploration of genshin is something that might catch my interest. Keyword being might. I've heard good words from the devs but again: the artstyle and characters don't really appeal to me...Yet.
Punishing Gray Raven:
Considering the game comes from the same company as the one Wuthering Waves and considering one of my friends has a muse from that game that they already told me about the devs' reputation for listening to their playerbase, I'm a bit more positive about those two games in terms of their devs than most. That being said: I'm not sure if I'm too interested. It's the same thing with W.Waves where the artstyle and characters don't seem too interesting. And while I've heard the reputation of it being a challenging game, it might not be a game I'm going to pick up considering the next game I have my eyes on.
Zenless Zone Zero:
A beat em up with flashy gameplay and an artstyle that's bright, vibrant and SCREAMS attitude? Well if the story catches my interest and future character designs too well then sign me the fuck in! I've heard some small issues regarding the menu UIs and such, but so far I feel like it's a minor issue for me, but that's to be seen. That being said, the story and characters might make me either be interested to play or continue playing the game if I haven't done so already at that time.
ArKnights:
Gonna be real here...Not really interested. It's just not my type of game in terms of artstyle, character designs and just the gameplay. Then again, I'm not really that much into games who's main cast of characters are just modern soldiers-- even if it's an anime character. Which is the same reason why I won't be picking the next game on this list.
NIKKE:
No, just no. It's not only the same-ish reason as ArKnights, but as someone has seen some gameplay, the stages and such trying to be 3D without using multiple sprites to simulate 3D Geometry is just something that is off-putting for me. Surprising considering it's known for characters and their rear end of things, but I'm indifferent towards the characters, the artstyle is not something that is interesting and on top of that: the whole shooter genre is not my thing.
Blue Archives:
Funny how a mun who has a Blue Archives character doesn't have Blue Archives yet. Well to be honest here I tried getting the game but it seems like it's not available in my region and I've tried it using qooapp or any other 3rd party app stores and it's just showing the Japanese version which I'm not fluent in that language, like at all. A shame too cause I would really love to see if there's some more moments where Kirino's involved.
