Relationship History Tag Game

Got tagged forever ago to do this by @andromedatalksaboutstuff/@andromedaexists and I'm finally doing it lmao

Rules: briefly (or not) describe what kinds of intimate relationships (platonic, romantic, sexual, or otherwise) your MCs have had PRIOR TO THE BOOK STARTING. Have they had their hearts ripped out before jumping into your fluffy romance? Are they aro/ace and have never been in a long-term relationship before?

Naturally, I'm doing this for

A Sharper, More Lasting Pain

Nadia DuPont: Was best friends with Etienne before the book starts. Also has a brother, Ines.... though she doesn't talk to him so much anymore. Completely lost touch with her mom after the death of her mother. As for romantic or sexual relationships,,, she didn't really "do" that. She had a bunch of flings she refused to let go any farther than a hookup or two, MAYBE a date if she was feeling especially optimistic.

Etienne LaChance: Was in love once, decided being in a relationship was getting in the way of his art and ultimately broke things off. That, and him and Nadia got incredibly close which was making it hard for him to focus on having a boyfriend. Has a decent relationship with his parents--mom moreso than his dad. Decent enough friends with Chantal and Luc and the rest of that friend group.

Simone Allard: Has a contentious relationship with their enbei (my term for a nonbinary parent). Very contentious. Very "you need to follow in my footsteps and the moment you don't you are a disappointment" of them. Has had a couple of relationships but ultimately broke things off because said relationships got in the way of their studies... also because they are a Dominant and had not found someone willing to engage in that dynamic with them (until Nadia)
