Zutara Month continues to inspire! This is how Toph tells the tree story in the ending of the Western Air Temple chapter of Bit of This, Bit of That by @homeagainrose.

"Oh, you mean the one where Spitfire tied Sweetness to a tree and proceeded to flirt with her using the betrothal necklace?" No one thought to account for Toph in this scenario. No one is sure how she knows but she does.  "Seems it must have been foreplay. What? Sweetness, you get all breathy when you tell it and Spitfire’s heart starts racing."
