“You know Ash,” Brock began, looking smug. “I don’t know if you, of all people, get to have a moral high ground on Team Rocket when it comes to stealing.”

“What?!” Ash gasped back, looking offended. Somewhere off where the other pokemon were playing, he heard Pikachu laugh. “What are you talking about?! I don’t steal!”

“Oh, is that so?” Misty snapped immediately, and Ash audibly groaned, resisting the urge to smash his head into the picnic table.

“I mean I don’t steal anything important,” he said before he could stop himself.

And for the record, the laugh he got out of the passive insult to her precious bicycle was absolutely worth the tongue lashing.
