#i take constructive criticism #i was looking at chinese paintings on pottery of animals and felt a sudden Drive #and my dumb slav brain mixed in some soviet illustration/cartoon style subconciously #anyway i v much want to do more stuff with gradients like this #whole illustrations with backgrounds with gradients being emphasized everywhere #would be fun i think #art #colored pencil #tiger #frog #i wish i knew more abt art terminology n stuff especially for other cultures #bc i really love the way those traditional chinese paintings use color and gradient and how idk clean? it all looks #and how traditional japanese art is so full of motion and expression and uses gesture and linework so well #i dont really know what these styles are called or how to talk about them #same for russian/soviet art tbh but for that i kind of just go off childhood inspiration and dont think about it too much
