~Rules~

When do I post?

The event will take place in February from Monday the 20th to Sunday the 26th. You can work on the prompts whenever you like, but it'd be splendid if you posted it on the day of the prompt. Whether you post one prompt or all of them doesn't matter, we're here to have fun and share our work. No pressure!

Prompts will be available for personal use even after the event is over.

What do I post?

Whatever you like. Art, fic, poem, gifs, doesn't matter, so long as your work can be shared here on Tumblr. External sites like Ao3, YouTube, whatever else is also allowed, so long as your work can be linked back here for other participants and followers of the event to enjoy.

How do I tag?

The event will be tagged "toothcup Febr-au-ry 2023", so that is the tag I'll be following. You can tag your work with "Day 1" and "[the prompt]" as well if you’d like, but I’d just be happy to see the day and the prompt worked into the description somewhere.

I'd love to be tagged on the actual post itself, too, as I’d love to see what you guys can come up with. :)

Does it have to be specifically Toothcup?

If this question confuses you, I’m on the side of the fandom that differentiates between Toothcup and Hicctooth. In my eyes, Hicctooth is the friendship, Toothcup is the romance.

That said, while this event is titled “Toothcup”, you can also just focus on the Hicctooth and may even involve other ships, so long as the focus remains on our two blorbos, Hiccup and Toothless.

Do I have to stick to a specific genre or rating?

No, you don’t, anything is welcome! Fluff, whump, h/c, whatever you feel like doing! All that I ask is that you tag it correctly. If your work requires certain trigger warnings, please include them.

And the most important rule of all?

Have fun! :)
