#btptg chapter 9
Text
“We have a metal detector,” Sar points out as they gather up some equipment.
Spar raises an eyebrow as Barriss grabs it and immediately turns it on him, letting the detector zero in on his beskar’gam and start beeping incessantly.
“It works,” she declares cheekily.
He’s tempted to flip her off, then looks at the two adults and decides better. Sar might think it’s funny, but he has no clue about Luminara. So instead he grabs his bag, the mask still tucked in it, and loops it over his shoulder.
Sar looks like she’s trying so hard not to grin that she might pop a blood vessel.
“Sar,” he says, warning and panic edging his tone.
“You’re so grown up,” she says, patting his cheek patronisingly.
“Kark you too.”
She nods sagely. “There’s the seventeen-year-old.”
He sticks out his tongue at her.
