These days, an average laptop is more powerful than ever, but with increased performance comes an increased price. There are considerably more affordable laptop computers that can accomplish these duties perfectly well for the average person who uses their laptop for surfing the web, sending emails, and watching the occasional Netflix show. Chromebooks are these computers, and they’re revolutionizing the personal computer market in new and exciting ways. These small but mighty laptops can be thought of as little more than a powerful web browser with a touchpad and keyboard—or as a large-screen extension of your smartphone. These laptops are fantastic for getting work done on a commute, on vacation, or even in the office when you need a little less firepower to get the job done. They are perfectly suited for practically all of the day-to-day chores that we demand from the Internet. Of course, not all Chromebooks are created equal, and a number of well-known organizations have hurried to develop their version of Google Chrome’s renowned infrastructure. So, before you run out and buy that nice-looking Chromebook you saw on the internet, take a look at our list of the best Chromebooks under $400. Lenovo Chromebook Duet The Lenovo Duet is difficult to beat in 2021 if you’re looking for a great, low-cost Chromebook. The Duet, which looks like a Chrome OS version of Microsoft’s Surface Go, has a 10.1-inch 1920×1200 display and comes with a keyboard attachment, making it one of the most affordable hybrid devices available today. The Duet seems to be a typical 10′′ tablet in tablet mode, and the 16:10 aspect ratio keeps the device from feeling excessively big in your hand. However, attach the supplied kickstand and keyboard dock, and you’ve got yourself a full-fledged laptop with a touchpad for mouse compatibility. Of course, you shouldn’t expect something comparable to the Surface Pro range of laptops for $300. Because the Chromebook is so small, the keyboard and touchpad are both cramped, and the MediaTek CPU is inadequate for anything other than basic browsing and productivity tools. Still, this gadget has a lot of advantages, such as all-day battery life, excellent color reproduction on the IPS panel, and surprisingly good dual speakers. Lenovo’s Duet won’t transform the way you use computers in your daily life, but it’s hard to go wrong at $300. In 2021, the Duet is far from the only Chrome OS tablet available. Asus’ impending CM3000 Chrome OS hybrid has leaked widely, revealing similar features and a somewhat larger display, despite the fact that it isn’t yet on the market. This summer, it should be available. Samsung Chromebook 4 Samsung’s Chromebook 4 isn’t fancy, which is why it’s such an easy suggestion for anyone on a tight budget. This is a simple laptop with none of the bells and whistles that most other Chromebooks on the market now have. Many users find that a basic device is sufficient for their purposes. The Chromebook 4 comes with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and Intel Celeron N4000 processors, which are normal for a low-cost Chromebook in 2020. HP Chromebook 14a HP is no stranger to Chrome OS, and their Chromebook x360 14 is one of the best Chromebooks on the market right now. However, at $629, it will be out of reach for many Chromebook customers. That’s where HP’s Chromebook 14a comes in, a great entry-level laptop that costs less than $300. The display is HP’s main strength here, as it competes directly with Samsung’s Chromebook 4. HP’s Chromebook is the appropriate size at 14 inches. However, you’ll have to put up with a 720p display. Most users at this price bracket are unlikely to notice, but it’s worth noting before purchasing. Aside from that, the laptop is very similar to its Samsung competitor. The Celeron N4000 processor from Intel is featured here, and it offers good browsing and media consumption features at a low price. For this price range, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage are pretty common and should keep your laptop running well for at least a few years before any notable slowdown occurs. HP also includes B&O-branded speakers on the left and right sides of the (backlit!) keyboard, as well as quick charging up to 50%. HP is a good option for anyone who can’t make the 11.6-inch display on Samsung’s Chromebook 4 function in regular use. However, this laptop has also reduced to as low as $219, making it a complete bargain. Although we recommend HP’s Chromebook 14a, it’s worth mentioning that many users have complained about occasional Wi-Fi difficulties during normal use. The summer Chrome OS update should have rectified the issue, but it’s something to keep an eye on. Acer Chromebook 14 Acer’s Chromebook 14 delivers a considerably larger display than other inexpensive Chromebooks, similar to HP’s Chromebook 14a, and it does so in style. With a 1080p 14′′ display, this is the best screen on the list so far, and while it lacks the low bezels of the HP Chromebook 14a, doubling the resolution makes for a much better day-to-day experience. In terms of design, despite the laptop’s modest price, it has a premium-feeling aluminum casing that appears to be more expensive than it is. Acer’s Chromebook, unlike some of its competitors, manages to find a sense of style. The Chromebook 14 is powered by an Intel Celeron N3160 processor and can handle basic surfing and media playback, albeit it lags behind Intel’s newer N4000 processor. A 12-hour battery justifies the laptop’s size, and 32GB of storage ensures you can save some of your favorite movies and shows on the move. The keyboard and trackpad on the Chromebook 14 are adequate but ordinary, and the laptop lacks upgradeable or expandable storage. Of course, the major trade-off here is the extra weight, albeit, at 3.42 pounds, you could do a lot worse. Overall, the Chromebook 14 isn’t the most interesting item on this list, but if you’re looking for a reliable, basic laptop for around $300, this is it. Lenovo Chromebook Flex 5 If the HP Chromebook 14a and Samsung’s Chromebook 4 are going head to head in terms of features and pricing, Acer’s Chromebook 14 and Lenovo’s Flex 5 are going head to head in terms of performance and price. It’s a little out of our pricing range at $405, but it’s close enough that we’re putting it in this round-up. Despite the fact that the Flex 5 has 4GB of RAM, which matches Acer’s model, the Core i3-10110U is a significant upgrade above the N4000 found in most laptops on our list, much alone the outdated N3160 found in the Chromebook 14. Although the 13-inch 1080p display isn’t as large as Acer’s, it’s a good compromise between screen size and portability, and taking notes on the touchscreen is a breeze thanks to the 360-degree hinge. One of our favorite styles now available on Chromebooks is the Flex 5. It’s simple and understated, with a lovely matte texture that helps keep fingerprints at bay. Lenovo has also included a few luxury touches, like a backlit keyboard and front-facing speakers, to help make it a deal at $400. Despite how fantastic this laptop is, it’s understandable if the tiny price increase deters some customers. My n Nana’s story long version

Most of the things in my life I only explain ever once in a while, when i’m ready because in transitioning from young adult to adult we sometimes feel like we need to prove things or defend our choices or actions. When we don’t. There are very few ppl that are entitled to information or have your best interest at heart. The fact that they are trying t force information out of u, manipulating, n making u feel bad for nothing u did wrong, for information that is none of their business, shows that.

I’ve even had some doctors be insensitive, u know ppl u think know better, or would have more tact or care. ““I have a fur baby” “ehhh that’s not the same really”

I came home from deployment n got a truck, my first rented home, n I went to get my dog oreo who had been boarded all deployment. I had paid throughout deployment, but even returning it’s a costly thing. I still owed 2,000$ I paid 1,000$ til I could pay the rest.

Soon after that I was invited to a family mountain trip camping, and I took oreo, n she did great n had a good time, I left early for a relatives wedding and to visit a bf/ old friend of mine n brought oreo home.

Soon after that, my rented home, was not fenced n sat on a 5 lane highway. It was middle of the night early morning, 12am -5am n she was out pottying, n got a wild hair up her butt n ran across the street, no traffic. I called her, n she was on her way back across, when a black truck hit her, I don’t know what happened after that. She didn’t come t my side. N I looked fir her for days, n talked to neighbors. I didn’t find her.

I was distraught, I had recently lost my biological mother, n it hit me hard, I barely had her back.

A military friend had a puppy that they couldn’t keep, asking 400$ for her, I gave them 300$ intending t pay the rest, but that friend has never faulted me for that 100$.

A pure bred shepherd months old puppy, whose mom was a prize winning show dog n dad was a police dog.

Nana came into my life when I needed her most. N that started our journey together taking her on walks at the park. We hadn’t gotten her vaccinated yet cuz we just hadn’t gotten to it yet. She got parvo.

Again I just lost my biological mom, that I don’t feel like I got enough time t get my shit together so I could spend more time with her, oreo was gone,n now my saving grace was about t b taken too. Dogs surviving parvo is slim.

But I cleaned n sanitized, figured out what it was, n one evening decided to take her to the emergency animal hospital, bleeding all over the back seat of my truck, sat for hours for them t tell me they were keeping her over night, n sending meds home, for maybe...n it would cost 600$.

I didn’t have pet insurance, I paid the 600$, n went home n waited. I came t get her the next day. Brought her home with meds. N continued to clean n sanitize, n crush up her pills in water t get them down her throat with a syringe, n keep water in her with the syringe.

n she lived. She is such a fighter.

Potty n poop accidents, trying t train her t potty, her eating everything because she thinks she’s a goat, the fire mantel bottom bricking, the side of doors like cribbing, she ate my chair, like ppl had reapolstered it, n she ripped the back out n chewed on the old wood, the metal brackets, n there was even a sowing needle that fell out, thank goodness I got it before she tried t eat that, her being afraid of a feather, because she’s not ok with anything, until she can put it in her mouth. She has ruined, eaten, or broken cuz of her energy tons of special things t me, but that’s just stuff n she’s a living breathing, once ever thing that I only got a number of days with.

Soon after that, I lost my home. N that started me n her bouncing around from relatives n friends, areas I could keep her, trying t get on my feet. A pampered expensive dog went from nice surroundings to areas where it’s outside encloses that I come every couple of days to feed her n exercise her. N I know she thought she did something wrong, but I kept coming back. Long nights n hours in her crate bouncing around.

Her taring up other ppls stuff, that were helping us out. During my stay in transitional housing, in advocating for emotional support animals and educating, it’s a fight. My first peer support counselor, which is the person who is supposed to help u find housing prospects, n drive u there n help you navigate the rental interview process, did not want to back me up on my pet needs. He told me a story about his son having a shepherd n loving the dog n training it n they moved n had to shelter the dog, n tore his son up n decided they could keep it, but by the time they did, the dog had been homed.....so his story was that, it’s a nice breed it will go fast....sure she looks like a nice dog, but with her behavioral issues early, I knew ppl would not anticipate how much care she needs and she would bounce around n b in danger. With that in mind, here specific needs, the fact that I’ve invest money, time, n care into this animal, makes me the right care taker.

At a relatives house, I was trained her and taking long walks into downtown, taking her into post offices to teach her to sit quietly. N we had just come from a walk down town in my truck, I thought I had tired out n she usually did good with staying in a home yard but once in a while she’d get a wild hair up her butt, n run off, n she did that this night. She bolted off n I went after her calling her, n the same thing only in reverse. I heard her. I heard her get hit, I didn’t see it, and I found her. I picked her up a good size shepherd at 3-4 yrs. old. N carried her across a field as far as I could. N almost out of the field I put her down n told her ur gonna have t walk n she walked the rest of the way to the shed I was keeping her in. My cousin, a nurse, helped me get the bleeding t stop, n bandage her n give her meds. She does not like t stay down, it wasn’t long before she was back up n seemingly walking like normal, n I didn’t think anything was wrong.

We wouldn’t take quit as long walks and at her pace.

After this, when Nana n I were living in the trailer, before transitional housing, I noticed after our long walks, that here leg would be tender n ginger. She started getting red hairless areas that she chewed that no matter what I did,changing her food, put on it, I didn’t know what it was or what t do. But we were getting whatever food we could at that time too. It was during this time, a really low point, that anything I did was for her. I got up n dud stuff for her, I stayed positive fir her, I went t work no matter what was going on to provide for her, I stayed healthy n fit with n for her. I was in this position b/c any affordable housing option in this area either didn’t allow dogs, or didn’t allow her breed. N I, have no children, I’m a adult can fend fir myself. She’s a responsibility that I said yes to. I would rather live in a tent with my dog than not with her. Whatever food I had, she’s getting some. If we had McDonald’s, she’s either getting half of burger or she’s getting nuggets n water. No electricity, some running water but no hot water, we had heat, n food. N I could go t a near friends house to shower, wash clothes n bring back water n food for her. I worked a lot n she would b coupled up in the trailer fir 8 hrs at a time not using bathroom n no safe large area fir her t play n run. I would come let her out fir a bit n put right back, or I worked 7pm -closing shift n I’d bring her in my truck, windows down, dark evening, with water in a bowl n her food or treats for the evening. So after work, I could take her t a near by park which was still across town, to let her run n exercise, b/c no safe area at our trailer park. Before going home, eating something, washing up, n bed. N us sleeping, letting her out real quick, n after work was all the time we got together.

Soon after this, I decided to do something to get in a better position to care for both me n her. I put her in Guardian Angels for soldiers pets, so I could come to Charlotte n get on my feet. Everything that I did staying focused, completing it as quickly as I did, was motivated by wanting to get situated to get her back. It was in this n her intake vet exam that I found out the red spots were her being allergic t gluten, I also found out that her leg had grown it was a bit dislocated, n some muscle had grown between to pinch, but there wasn’t much to do about it at this point. She runs n does like normal but it needs t b rested some, n t watch her.

All these factors, along with I don’t like to be away from her for extended amounts of time, anything is better if she can be there. I do pay attention to her, I take information about her seriously. She is a investment, she is a support system that is always here. She isn’t 9-5. She makes me smile even recently when I’m crying, she laid in the cold with me at my lowest point heating me. She is not optional. This is why I fight for animals, for animal support. I get it if your not as committed as I am, it takes a certain type of person to advocate constantly. But my dog is worth it.

I usually dont post on forums, but I had to report that using your strategy today was amazing. I bracketed the saddle point and added on 6 more times to gain over 300 Pips in 45 minutes on the M1 chart. The red dot was present. The AO was clsoe to Zero Line and the Alligator’s mouth was open on both the M1 and M5. I trailed my stops and locked my gains and got out after the blue dot appeared. I should have exited immediately and would have gained 350 but I was stopped out for 300. Thank You for sharing this trading method.

Well my first day in the room, 100 pips profit. Is this for real? Am I dreaming? I honestly don’t know. As I been up for what seems like all week, I think that maybe this is some sort of Forex nirvana!! I have been trying to trade successfully for many years with the same result ….margin call. I remember reading Bill Williams book when it first came out, but not being able to put it all together. Yet yesterday I bought a PDF (AIMS-Ebook) for 100 bucks that has given me more hope than I have had in years!!! Am I dreaming? As someone who has read most material on market behavior I am aware of how the markets move in the way that R.N. Elliot described. But how to trade it properly? That was the question. So seeing the double bottom on the 5 min. today I knew what to expect, an impulse wave, but will this 99 dollar simplistic software catch it? I seriously doubt it. Yet there it was impulse wave off the bottom then the alligator closed its mouth a blue dot appeared and the traders wet dream occurred, I caught wave 3!!!

Very clear no ambiguity just follow the rules. Immy I really don’t know if you know what you have here, but there was a gentleman in the room that was gushing over what he saw trading 5 screens and all. I completely agree with his assessment, AIMS rocks. O.K. Its only been one day, and really I don’t even know all the rules and nuances, but I am EXTREAMLY encouraged. Spring 2017 E-5 recap

E-5 Cleared on Normal

Loot:

Of cource majority of returning ships I didn’t have were concentrated on E5. But with some questionable luck and determination I got everything. Both Kagerous - Arashi and Hagikaze, and both Italian BBs - Littorio and Roma. Due to my resources fell very low after that, I decided that It’s too risky to try beating the map on hard, because I might just run out of baux or fuel and be forced to easy it, in the end. So, given that difference in N and H rewards was not so significant for me, I went with Normal and got 8 more screws out of that, 2 medals (which i really need right now) and... uh... guess what, another interce... ah wait no, that’s the same from E3 I think. R.I.P. the 5 star interceptor from E5H, I chose Roma over you.

How it went: oh hO HO HO, I think it’s devs thing now to make farming final maps harder and harder by making them 2 part and/or unviable to farm after clear just as now. ... even though I always farm pre-clear. But 2 part thing is still in place. I put down 4 names (from above) on the list and prepared for a time lapse. Here’s the table I made to keep track of drops to decrease hopelessness (each circle next to a name is a drop. Numbers after green names next to the table are what successful T node run the girl dropped on for the first time, and the nubmer in brackets is what reset was that . Also it’s littered with sketches under the table’s end), and thus we started an EZ MODO journey, all LBs at defence and no support anywhere.

At some point I thought that I’m cursed with Ise-class because in each 3 runs (a reset) I got 2 Ise-class and something else. But eventually Ise rain stopped. To make things worse, Hyuuga is just 1 row above Roma and has almost same rate of drop, so it was devastating to see her drop every time when it could be a potential Roma (On top I really don’t like neither Ise nor Hyuuga). Fun fact: All 4 new drops were the final kills before the map reset would happen.

I spent around 80k fuel, 25k baux and 300+ buckets total on this farm, but in the end it was worth it.

So what do I have now? All drops, Max level Nagato and ... 30k fuel with 25k baux. Sound like... it’s maybe not a good idea to try clearing hard (my first A-class medal can wait). So I decided to just go Normal and not do more damage to my sanity in last 4 days.

And after I switched to normal I ... couldn’t really tell the difference. It was just as easy. Still didn’t need any supports, all LBAS protecting res from Airfield Himes, BB hime just as squishy, almost no retreats (maybe like 1 or 2 total). That feeling when you S the boss node at day battle

But I have to give credit to my girls there, really. Nodes we passed were pretty scary though, with 3 FS Rus in Double line (CTF) (who thought it’s a good idea?) But at least we avoided the A-hime hell. On Hard it wouldn’t be possible (tbh that is one of the deciding factors of Normal over Hard because she could wreck us even on easy)

And an Acid mix of Wo-Kai, Nu-Elite Kai and Ta FS all that in double line as well (fact that it’s STF doesn’t even help you evade or die). Also yeah, in a screenshot below I went for a debuff run (that node that is on CTF’s route to T) and didn’t retreat after it just for science, and you guess what, they reached the boss anyway like... we went through worse, nothing is scary.

And it wasn’t the last time it happened. I wanted an easy S on air raid so I drum-filled escort fleet with duckies and also didn’t retreat after the target node. Northern Water Hime also went down with no problems whatsoever

At this point I regreat a little bit that I didn’t do hard because it was totally possible for me, but uh... still worried about resources.

On last dance I decided to actually send in some support (wow!).. which in the end probably was even a little bit unneccessary because the only difference was that there was DD Ancient bullet sponge in the escort nobody could take down anyway, and... uh.. one BB less in the main fleet? Cool I guess. Only DD and Northern Himes survived till nighttime, Nachi Taiha-d her, not even allowing to set off her final attack, and ABKM finished her off, concluding this even for us.

And before I claimed my rewards and achieved peace this season, I had to face the final demon....

What a wonderful event, after all~

My car was hit while it was parked in my own driveway 4 days ago (in NY state). The police came and filed a report. I asked them for the other drivers insurance info, but they said I would have to wait for the police report and it would include that information. They advised it would be available after 5 business days at a cost of $5.00. I think the information should have been made available immediately so I could have filed a claim with the other person's insurance company. A realistic way for a full time college student to make money.?

This student is a 20 unit UCLA Law major who needs money but can't even work a part-time job. So I go to the left and the left and gas it a little bit, I was going like 10 mph as I was taking off, and the light turns yellow, I cross the crosswalk, then the light turns red and I drive under the set of lights.. These 2 bike cops came immediately after me... So long story short, it was my first time being pulled over, I took the seatbelts off, and I ran the red light because there was a guy pulling into a parking stop right in front of me and I was too worried looking around afraid I was going to hit a jaywalking tourists. I know people always think they're right, but I honestly think I didn't do anything wrong here. I got a $25 seat belt fine and a warning for running the red light, which is complete BS. I know it's a warning but I don't want it on my record at all, how can I appeal, any tips? I got 6 points back in 2009 for speeding with a drink drive ban the same night! I don't need any lectures. I can easily say biggest mistake of my life! I done my time and still paying for it.
