i should be louder about my "romance is fake" opinion tbh.

allos talk so much about "other halves" and their weird worldviews that exclude me, what's wrong with sharing mine?

i think romance is completely made up and everyone who thinks they have crushes is lying to themself just like i was as a teen.

now unlike (some) allos im not gonna be rude about it and infringe on peoples boundaries. telling someone that they are wrong about their own feelings is pretty awful after all. we aros know this.

but i Am gonna be louder about how romance is the opioid of the masses (not religion, sorry marx) and how amatonormativity perfectioned divide and conquer and how every single person on this planet is already whole by themself or at least can be without a next best person of specified gender to fill the emptiness in their soul. the lack you feel is from opression and capitalism!! or more accurately neoliberalism i guess?? idk but it isolates us!! makes us depressed and exhausted!! makes us feel foreign to our work, our communities and ourselves! sells us the solutions to problems it made up! like the need to have a romantic relationship. or to party a lot because work makes you existentially exhausted. productivity boosting tools. the lie of effortless beauty. engineered demand. this last thought idnt fully fleshed out yet but my gut tells me that virtue signalling may also be connected, somehow.
