#dunno if you'll remember last thursday i was struggling with ofmd feelings AND work shit #that interview i was in where they gave the guy an unfair problem to solve #well we did it again today and gave him a more fair problem. which was very cool of them to do #and I'm glad i spoke up! #but he still didnt do well enough to hire him 💀 #if he were coming in at my level or lower i would be like yeah of course #but a level higher than me? no. needs better technical skills than that #i want someone i can learn from lol #i was telling my wife about this. and she was like 'wait. why don't YOU apply for the staff level role and someone else can take your role' #and I'm like........ am i good enough for that level? well. probably. actually yeah. #but do i WANT to be at that level right now? NOT FUCKING REALLY #do i like money? of course #but what i like more than money. is freedom #is a staff level engineer going to have enough fuck-around time to obsess over gay pirates?!!! who do you think will be the next mains?

I think for skamfr it will be max because he's a fan favorite, the other choices would be either anais and louise or redouane, and I don't think they would choose any of them (I'm worried if what could happen with redouane since he's a poc, we all know how skamfr is)

which makes me wonder... what if they did follow a pattern. I know it's skamfr but hear me out

they can't give a season to alexia because she's a Chris and none of the characters of the old gen can be mains except Evas, Nooras, Isaks and Sana and skamfr had to fight for an Arthur season for this specific reason

Jo basically had her season with Bilal

Maya, who was Lola's li in s6, is now a main

again, is skamfr and nothing is confirmed but to me, max seems more likely than other characters, especially since the fandom has been asking for a max season since forever, they love him a lot

for druck I would like Ava but only if the old team comes back and they hire new fat and black writers because s7 was a fucking mess

for Italia, there's a rumor that there will be a wlw season but as an Italian, I highly doubt it, it's already enough that we have a gay story (with two cis, skinny white abled men btw) i don't think it's likely, they will probably do an Elia season or something

hey anon! to start off with the theories about who could possibly be the next skamfr main, tbh i dont really believe that there are some rules that forbid remakes to make seasons about their original characters nor do i think that the "no love intrest as main" rule ever existed, i guess up until now the new gen writers were more intrested in telling stories about characters we don't know as much about as characters who already played a big role in somebody else's season. which is also why i believe that giving maya her own season works pretty well rn becacause we a) didnt see as much of her during lola's season as we saw of other love intrests in other seasons due to skamfr's inability to stick to a few important plotlines rather than dumping every topic you could possibly think of into one season, and b) s6 always left me with a feeling that despite the fact that we did learn some things about maya and her past there were a lot of things about her left untold and up until today she as a character always stayed quite mysterious to me

to get back to your question, i, too, think that it's very much likely that they're going to make max the season 10 main as he's a fan favourite and since there really was a drastic drop in views during bilal's season, they wouldn't want to take any risks losing viewership again n are doing a maya and a max season now. personally, i would loove love love for redouane to be the main n still believe that making characters of color main characters should be more important than the "but think about all the things white writers could fuck up then" argument as it.. in some way, for lack of beter words, lets writers off the hook way too easily so we're essentially going to start turning in the same circles where writers feel like there's no need for them let stories revolve around characters of color and r therefore gonna keep on making them the "best friend", "comic relief" characters etc etc. which. really shouldnt be the kind of writing decisions writers start feeling the most comfortable with.

same goes for ava, even if the s7 writers stay, it's still so much more important to make her the probably last main character of the new gen stories rather than.. giving this season to mailin 💀💀. begging druck/funk on my hands and knees to get the old writers back tho because i know that they would try their best to actually do sth with her season🙏
