How would you have given Red Daughter the happy ending she deserved?

I just rewatched the final Red Daughter scene with Supergirl and Lex, because apparently I love pain.

Logically, of course I know why it ended the way it did ... but damn. Just like with Sam/Reign, I was really hoping for an ending that gave her a proper chance at a life - this time outside of Lex's corrosive orbit. Especially with The House of L driving home the point that Lex groomed her in much the same way he tried (and ultimately failed) with Lena ... ugh. PAIN.

I was highkey hoping RD would end up on Argo. And that Alura would take her under her wing and she could heal from all the damage Lex did and start afresh there. Alura was right there ...
