◑ GEORGE NOT FOUND + IV (EURASIAN OTTER) ◐
Eurasian otters are the most solitary and territorial species of otter in the world, and are rarely seen in the wild, spending a great deal of time in their burrows and only emerging at night. They tend to be independent, lazy, relaxed, and rather averse to commitment of all kinds, as Eurasian otters do not form any lasting bonds with conspecifics, be they mates or children.
However, when they do briefly come together on their own terms, either for breeding, forming temporary social groups, or when a mother is raising her pups, they are tactile, affectionate, and playful animals with many ways of communicating with each other, be it through body language or various vocalizations. They are not afraid of confrontation, though, and will openly challenge any intruder onto their territory; in fact, fights over territory are the main cause of death for mature Eurasian otters.
They are perceptive, observant, and intuitive animals, with keen senses of smell and sight and an array of sensitive whiskers to locate prey underwater. Eurasian otters are also highly adventurous, impulsive, adaptable, hardy, inquisitive animals, wandering far and wide to find territories of their own, and they are known to breed at any time of the year and are not picky or particular when choosing mates.
These otters make for very dedicated and attentive mothers, who dedicate themselves entirely to raising their pups. However, they have an overprotective and non-cooperative parenting style, chasing away any male that tries to approach their young. This includes even the father, who has no part in raising his children.
George is straightforward, adaptable, and opportunistic. Iv is sensitive, defensive, and diligent.

NAME MEANING “Iv” (pronounced “Eve”) is derived from the roman numeral for 4, a reference to the “404: page not found” error.
