Mason began, spinning himself round and round on the office chair that he was currently occupying whilst waiting for Juliet to finish up what she was doing so that they could go for food. "Is that you flirted with soooo many people that day. And not me. You didn't flirt with me once. Why not? Am I not interesting enough to flirt with? Or just not cute enough?" He asked, resting his arms on the back of the chair and placing his head on them as he watched the blonde keenly.

Hazel did not want to see Juliet. In her eyes right now, even if it didn't make sense that much, Juliet was the reason her brother had been in the situation in the first place where he had to move to their mother's. Both her and Alec. When she ended next to Juliet in queue for a drink, Hazel didn't even give Juliet a chance to speak, "I don't want to do any sort of small talk or anything cordial with you," she said. She just wanted to get through this line and get a drink and be done. Not see her brother, or his so-called "friends" either.

"You are not allowed to make fun of me if you drag me out to dance," he told his sister. "You're lucky I came, because I don't usually come to these big events." He was never a fan of large crowds, too many unknowns and too overwhelming with his synesthesia, but he tried his best to go to a big event a few time a year, this being one of them.

As much as he had been getting better at not shutting down every December the last few years, he still struggled with his emotions and his reactions to them, and he knew it, but sometimes it was hard to work against his instant reaction to his thoughts.
