on april fourth , brooklyn paige guiliana chaves was born , the baby of the chaves family . she started modeling pretty much just weeks after she was born , and growing up , she loved every second of it . she loved the glitz and glam of it , and the way people would praise her for it . brooke was definitely one of those babies on the pampers diaper box . by the time she was in high school , she was one of the top high fashion models in the world , walking in multiple different fashion weeks .
brooke met her first boyfriend her junior year of high school , and she fell head over heels for him. in hindsight , she knows it was more puppy love than real true love , but back then she had been so blinded by her feelings for him that she thought it would truly be something that could last. they were together for all of high school , until one party right after they graduated. they were playing spin the bottle ( bc ofc they were ) and brooke ended up having to kiss his best friend. she thought it had all been fun and games , but apparently , he was infuriated by what happened , and they got in a fight and broke up the next day. after their break up , he leaked her nudes to the media for a pretty large check to ‘ get back at her ’. thankfully , he was too much of an idiot to do it anonymously , and it was quickly found out that he was the leak. he was stripped of his college scholarships for football and expelled from princeton before his freshman year of college had even begun.
unfortunately , brooke’s troubles didn’t end there. that same summer , her two closest friends turned on her as well. they sold lies about her to the media , twisting the story to put the blame on brooke , claiming that she had cheated on her boyfriend by sleeping with his best friend. they were also always giving tips to the paparazzi about her location. and there was one paparazzi that at first , always seemed to linger in the background whenever she was out in public. she would spot him out of the corner of her eye , but she’d hadn’t really though much about it until he started following her to first apartment ( she had been so excited to finally have a place all to herself , and was crushed when it was tainted ). the first time he did it , he just sat outside on the street , watching her enter the building but not going any further than that. things escalated very , very quickly from there. it seemed that every time she would leave the building , he would be there , snapping photos , taking videos & hounding her with incredibly personal questions. one night , she had arrived home from a photo shoot , wanting nothing more than to just do her skincare and pass out in bed. there had been nothing off as she had entered her apartment , nothing that could have set off an alarm in her head. but as soon as she entered her room , she found the man that had been harassing her for weeks , looking through her things just hoping to find a story he could sell to the media. she was able to get a restraining order on him after that , but since he hadn’t physically harmed her , no criminal charges stuck.
she’d felt violated and betrayed , and so , so scared that she was no longer able to live alone. she gets really uncomfortable in large crowds or when she’s alone late at night , because she’s terrified that one day he’ll show back up. for a few months , brooke refused to go therapy because she was insistent that the events had no effect on her , even though it was obvious that she had. she wasn’t sleeping at night ( and still struggles with insomnia to this day ), she was barely leaving the house unless it was for work or school , and she had pushed away all of her friends. she finally agreed to go after after she had passed out from exhaustion in the middle of a photo shoot , and she’s improved a lot since then , but she does still have some lasting ptsd and anxiety. she also has a really hard time truly trusting people now , because she’s always scared she’ll let someone in just for them to sell out all her secrets. now she stays out of the public eye , is working hard on her studies so she can become a fashion designer , and possibly causing a bit of chaos and havoc here and there .

she can kinda be a tough nut to crack , but underneath the hardcore closed of exterior , she has a very bubbly personality , is very free spirited , she has no filter , and she’s extremely animated . she also cannot stay still for more than 5 minutes. literally the energizer bunny personified
but this girl can switch up SO FASt . her moods change and she snaps VERY easily. like i imagine she can be happy & bubbly one second then doing a complete 180 and giving a look that could definitely kill the next . also she is not afraid to slap a bitch if she needs to ! though she should be .... bestie is like 5′2 and a chicken so she would def get her ass handed to her

she would not be caught dead looking unpresentable .... she’ll do a full face of make up even if she’s waking up at 4am. and don’t even bother to ask her to go out after she’s done her skin care routine .... there’s no chance

brooke can not drive for SHIT . literally failed the test so many times they just kick her out whenever she enters the DMV . but somehow has a motorcycle license ? and she can ACTUALLY drive it , and she’s good at it . so she drives a custom light pink ducati everywhere .... also goes on long drives when she’s stressed bc the wind in her hair , and the ride just calms her down
she went thru a big time rush stage .... and just never came out of it . girlie is still fully convinced she’ll marry kendall .
she somehow got into columbia university , went there for three months out of her freshman year , then got expelled for almost burning down her sorority house but if you ask her , it definitely wasn’t her fault , she was framed ! this was just like ... a week after everything else was went down , so she just decided to transfer to a different college in charleston so she can live with her brother & get her degree .

from the second she was born , georgia was treated as her mother’s little doll. diane had been ecstatic the day she found out she was with child for the second time , and even more ecstatic to find out she would be having their first little girl. she was dressed up in pink dresses and frilly socks , shown off to all of the women country or her mother’s weekly book club nights. she was the apple of her parent’s eyes , until she wasn’t. with brunette tresses & honey brown eyes , georgia was adored by everyone .... her beauty noted with claims that she would grow up to be a heartbreaker. her mother thrived on the compliments ; the subtle reminders to what her own childhood had been like. she had always planned on having a little girl that she could do pageants with just like she had with her own mother , and darling little georgia was perfect for that. at such a young age , georgia fell in love with the pageants. she thrived in the spotlight , with all eyes on her. and just like her mother , she won every competion she was entered in , until she didn’t. by the age of nine , georgia was starting to grow bored of the constant pageants and recitals , wanting to explore other interests. by that point , diane’s interest in her had worn off and moved onto the next child , a five year old with beautiful blonde curls and dimpled cheeks. georgia grew to know the subtle ache of rejection , and from that day forward , did everything she could to win back her mother’s affection.
from the outside , the calloway’s came off as the picture perfect family. but from the inside ? things were quite the opposite. georgia’s parents had unmeetable expectations for their children. get perfect grades , nothing below a b acceptable. sit down , look pretty , and shut up. don’t cause a scandal. their love was entirely conditional , only being shown when their was something they believed deserved rewarding. if you were to ask georgia , she wouldn’t be able to tell you the last time her mother actually hugged her for genuine reasons , and not to manipulate her into doing what she wanted. their father was rarely home , always away working or traveling for work. it became obvious that he was having an affair –– multiple affairs , but diane just looked the other way. the calloway family was very prominent in charleston , especially with her father being elected mayor , and their was nothing that diane would allow to ruin their image. even if it cost her own happiness.
things got considerably more difficult around the calloway home when georgia was sixteen. her eldest brother had gone out for a night of fun with a group of friends , and made the fatal mistake of getting into a car with someone who was far too drunk to drive. georgia will never forget the conversation she overheard from the living room that night ; “ they were drunk. lost control of the vehicle. died on impact. ” it tore the family apart , dividing them even more than they already were. georgia couldn’t stand the silence of her home after her brother’s death. so she started partying constantly , going on 48 hour benders and staying out long past her curfew. she couldn’t even recognize herself in the mirror. gone was their innocent little girl , the apple of their eyes. even this couldn’t get the attention of her parents , they barely even noticed she was gone most of the time ; all they did was yell at her to not make them look like fools.
for her whole life , georgia followed her parent’s rules. after graduating high school , she was expected required to go college and get a degree , but georgia just couldn’t be bothered. this is the one time she went against her parent’s wishes. her fear of being stuck here forever , with the same life as her parents ; a husband that doesn’t love her and miserable children , won out over the need for approval from her parents. so she ran off to la , and landed herself on love island usa after being approached by a producer. georgia is reality tv gold , and quickly became a fan favorite. her most memorable moment being after she got her heart broken on live tv , when she purposely held up a lighter to set off fire alarms ; and then laid on the ground getting drenched by the sprinklers. so now she’s single again after being made a fool of in front of the world , back home with parents that hate her for bringing them unwanted attention , and stuck in the city she tried to get away from. but , she’s got a podcast. it’s called the bimbo summit and it’s pretty much the only thing bringing her joy right now. it started as a way for her to expose some behind the scenes shit from love island , but now it’s just for fun.

georgia is the girl that’s not easy to forget. she’s outgoing and amiable , but stubborn and not easy to push over. she was the one that moms would warn their kids to stay away from in high school ; she leaves a trail of destruction wherever she goes , no matter how hard she tries not to. she has the purest of intentions , genuinely just wanting love & happiness for herself and everyone around her , but it seems like the universe has different plans.
she almost has this air of melancholy surrounding her ? like even when she’s happy and smiling , you can still sense it or see in her eyes that she’s not truly happy
very charismatic , she’s a major people pleaser so she’ll put everyone else’s feelings before her own . she just wants everyone to be happy even if it means she ends up being miserable .
georgia’s a selective oversharer . she’ll tell you all these useless little facts so you think she’s opening up when in reality you don’t truly know her because she refuses to talk about the things that matter .
she’s trusting once she gets to know someone , but if you break that trust even once she’s not very quick to forgive. she’ll hear you out , but it’s unlikely that she’ll ever let you back in.
she is completely unhinged. somehow picks the worst possible decision every time a problem arises. she’s not much of a logical thinker , and tends to let her heart make decisions for her. it’s gotten her into a world of trouble one too many times , and yet she’s never learnt her lesson.
she’s also a serial dater. in her pea brain attention = love so she’ll flock to wherever she gets that. she likes the validation of relationships but hates the commitment , so pretty much all of her relationships end before they ever really start.
don’t ever tell georgia she can’t do something. she’s a stubborn bitch and she’ll either do it immediately just to spite you or dedicate her entire life to proving you wrong and that’s not something anyone needs to deal with.

BACKGROUND:
–– so david and alexandra baker were high school sweethearts . they were both born and raised in west orange , nj . they got married in 1996 , and traveled the world a bit . they came back to new jersey, but shortly after they moved to charleston , south carolina . her mother was a teacher in one of the elementary schools while her dad worked as banker . the bakers (like their last name) loved baking , but they both had jobs they loved .
–– it wasn’t until 1999 , when mia was born that the bakers decided to change their lives completely . the doctors told alexandra that after the birth of mia , she can’t have any more kids . so they opened up a small boutique bakery in charleston and called it ‘mia’s’. to them, she was their whole world .
–– their bakery was the best one around charleston , causing it to be packed on certain days , but the bakers didn’t mind it . as long as they were able to provide the best of the best for mia , they were happy.
–– growing up an only child , she had everything she wanted . she wasn’t that spoiled and she never had the most expensive things , but her parents got her whatever she wanted . she was a quiet kid , never really cried or screamed , was every parent’s dream child . she was extremely smart and did well at school .
–– she loved being with her parents at the bakery , even though she usually hated doing chores at home . helping them at the bakery just felt like something enjoyable , much more than doing chores . she always walked around and helped the workers and her parents with everything . as she got older she also worked there.
–– as days went by , people slowly started to come less, newer and better bakeries started showing up , causing the baker’s to have less income . seeing it as a teen broke mia’s heart .
–– when mia turned 16 , her parents’ bakery went bankrupt and her parents just couldn’t bring themselves to go back to their old jobs . eventually her mom went back to teach elementary school , but her dad just couldn’t . he got depressed and ever since that day he just hasn’t been the same .
–– seeing how it has affected her family , mia started working at all kinds of jobs –– she was a dog sitter , a babysitter , worked as a waitress for a while , but the job she stayed at the most was being a barista . every penny she made went straight to her parents , even though it always somehow came back to her (because they used her money to buy her nice things).
–– because she felt like she had to take care of her parents , she didn’t have many friends during high school . she was the shy and quiet girl no one really noticed or talked to . and she didn’t mind it , she had so much shit to deal with that she preferred to just have no friends or not be as social and work to make sure her parents are fine . it’s not like they were broke , but they had their ups and downs financially .
–– she still did pretty well at school , but she never really wanted to go to college . when she turned 18 she decided she wanted to go to culinary school in nyc . so she worked her ass off just enough to get into ICE (institute of culinary education in nyc). she got her diploma after a year of studying and you bet your ass this girl was the top of her class !

mr & mrs. lux brought three children into the world -- two boys and a girl . both being highly arrogant & competitive beings , the parents never expected less from their children . from a young age dianne & her brothers were expected to choose a field of play and pursue it with utmost fierceness . the children were thought to always win - against who & what price being mere details . no if’s but’s or why’s . family was important but what was more important was your family’s reputation , and both mr & mrs lux did not tolerate any hiccups . while neither of the three ever lifted a finger in their life , nothing they ever got was served on a silver platter . every little thing had a price .

no one ever develops an interest so big towards nightlife without experiencing most of it . and despite not being of legal age , her face , money & last name got her into every night club she step foot to . dianne lux became a well-known name around the party scene in every city that mattered . the title of the wild-child of the filthy rich did not come without consequences . headlines started popping up , scandals and rumors . people started speculating if this wasn’t a ‘ cry for help ‘ , ‘ seeking attention ‘ from her parents . and while , to an extent , it was .. it was also her own escape from a prison she believed she could never escape from . and no matter how good of manipulator she was , how much control she had over her emotions , her parents sent her off to rehab for six months despite her best efforts to negotiate her way out of it .

dianne is a very vindictive & cruel person . capable of doing many things , ruining people’s social life as well . and maybe she was provoked or not , but this very person experiences her worst . the ugliest , most vile worst . and while she’d usually continue on with her life once the job is done , this time dianne could not help but feel a slight pain in her chest at the sigh of the ruins her evil triumph left . - her very first regret .

a few days later duke went back to apologize and hear out what she had to say. when he arrived at her parents house all they had to give her was a letter sharing that she had left for school and wished him the best. after reading what happened duke decided to follow after her. on the trip he realized there was nothing he could do to change her mind. he got a place in charleston, got a job and hasn’t spoken to her since. now his father has been in contact with him sharing that they are going to have to sell the farm. down duke is in a tough spot trying to figure out what to do and where to go.

it’s the 27th of november 1996 , the family of Maria and Theodore welcome their second child , their second attempt to save their already dying marriage . they gave him the name romeo , after the protagonist of the tragic love story written by shakespeare , and while romeo and juliet were ready to do anything for the sake of their love , his parents were ready to do anything for the sake of keeping a good image . but for how long were they willing to keep on the facade of a perfect family , how many lies was miss huntington willing to accept before finally filling for divorce ? well turns out the betrayal of a best friend was the only thing she wasn’t willing to forgive as she found one of her best judies in bed with her husband . it was a messy divorce , for a twelve-year-old to witness his parents fighting like children over who gets the summer villa , who gets the cars , yet why did it seem like nobody wanted to deal with the children ? they somehow found an agreement for everything , including the children .

you would think that since his mother was never really there , his father probably tried to maintain some kind of relationship, right ? well the only way theodore knew how to speak to his children was with money , and while expensive gifts sure were something romeo enjoyed , the lack of parental care could never be forgotten .
by the time he was 18 he had already moved out , there wasn’t really a reason to stay home right ? money was never the issue here , his father was filthy rich , presents in the forms of expensive cars and hundreds of 100 dollar bills would often come his way , whether it was for birthdays or some other occasion , he was never left with no money , probably why he was so reckless with it , even if it ended , there was still more to come .

the hayes family has always been into basketball . his father, malek hayes had an almost professional basketball career if it wasn’t for his knee surgery ( or so he claims ) . naturally , he decided that his children were going to make it to the nba .
ever since tarik was young he felt the need to prove his spot in the family , that he had a purpose , that he was loved . his older brother made it hard , with all the brains and accomplishments , the only thing tarik had was basketball and he stuck to it .
malek hayes was over the moon when his youngest son took a liking to his favourite sport , with a basketball hoop installed on the family’s driveway , you could spot young tarik playing when he wasn’t at school or sleeping . his neighbours even issued a noise complaint due to the sound of a bouncing ball 12 hours a day .
what once was an innocent passion and fun quickly became a competitive and demanding sport . once tarik was old enough to take basketball seriously , his father lost no time signing him up for teams & training camps . it was only natural that the boy became a local star so young . tarik’s mother never liked how the boy neglected his homework or how her husband let him get away with it . his tournaments required tarik to travel all over ontario and spent little time at home .
he was also part of the oakville club , practicing way more than he studied , he barely got by at school and that was because his father asked caleb to do his projects for the little basketball star .
by junior year , his parents were sleeping in different beds , his relationship with his mother wasn’t something tarik was proud of . but he could easily forget about it when he was called to play for a club in toronto , one of the best ones in the country . he was the star player of his high school basketball team , now towering at a 6’6 .
despite his success , his father was never satisfied , which meant tarik wasn’t either . always training longer hours , spending less time at home and more time at the gym .
at eighteen he got a full – ride scholarship to a university in chicago . strangely enough , his father followed him in his move. he claimed that he could find another job and he would love to see his progress . the flight ticket came with stapled divorce papers . • tarik only played for two years at the university before being recruited by the chicago bulls where he started his nba journey . as a rookie , he got more game time than some other guys that had been there for years . this caused a bit of negative attention to fall on the point guard , but he decided to keep improving , this was just the beginning .
one year ago when his contract ended , the raptors offered him one and tarik was over the moon , his favourite team offering him a position ?? he quickly signed the papers and flew to toronto • he got back to the big city , trying to reconnect with his mother and brother but failing miserably at it .
the new position & the pressure from his family was too much for the twenty - three year old to handle . after years of non - stop work , tarik was getting sloppy . as his performance decreased , he quickly got evaluated and they said he was on the edge of a burnout .
time off was prescribed and tarik was shipped to charleston , sc where the university was studying burnout in young athletes .
tl;dr . tarik is from a suburban area where his father projected his failed career onto him and made him train numerous hours . he has a bad relationship with his mother and brother because he neglected everything that wasn’t basketball . he had always been a rising star . he first played for the chicago bulls and now is with the raptors . he had to take a little pause due to an imminent burnout and is now staying at charleston , far from everything he’s ever known.

basically tarik is one of the most hard-working and dedicated people out there . when he has his eyes set on something he will get it . he is not used to things coming easy .

hi everyone!! i am so excited to get back into rping & this seems like just the right group to start again!! i will be working on writing a biography, but here is just some facts about codi. let me know if you have any plots in mind or just want to dm me to say hi!!
dakota is the twin of jude ellis. they came from well-off divorced parents. she never needed to do much and if it was up to her mother that’s exactly what she would do. she wanted her perfect socialite daughter to marry off into a rich, boring family just like hers. but codi was never like that. she was always the creative sort. messy and all over the place. as a child she would play in the dirt and mess around with the boys instead of playing tea party or house with the other nice little girls.
when she was old enough she left home with her brother to venture off on her own. she thought about going to school and tried if for a semester, but ended up finding the structure of a public education too much. now she is a freelancer writer for a small local newspaper giving advice to sad, middle aged women in love-less marriages. it’s not her dream, but she is happy for now.
her interests include plants, painting, and writing. she has been working on a novel for two and a half years, never letting anyone read the entire thing. it has been finished for about a month now, but she’s too scared to try and publish her work.

ashanti was born and raised in charleston , sc to a father she doesn’t know . her mother cleaned houses for a living , working for an agency that booked her for mansions . so , from the moment ashanti was born , she was brought to multiple strangers houses where her mom would multitask with caring for her and also cleaning homes . this was the life ashanti knew , going to different addresses after school instead of home . doing her homework in some rich families house whose kids had live-in tutors . this made ashanti resentful , actually turning into a bully in middle school because of it . she had a ton of anger due to watching her mother struggle and that only got worse when her mom fell into an abusive relationship .
ashanti watched her mother get mistreated by someone who was supposed to be her step mother . this not only confused ashanti’s perception of love , but also made her mess up a lot of potential relationships from high school . her step mother had the money necessary for her mom to stop cleaning houses and she felt like taking the abuse was better than embarrassing ashanti well into her teen years . this only filled her daughter with guilt , though .
once she graduated high school , she remembered she had met a photographer due to him being the owner of one of the homes her mom was a regular working at . she met him without her permission and thus her modeling career began , setting her into a whole new life where her mom could leave her wife and still not have to clean another house . living with this weight on her shoulders isn’t the easiest , but she rather do that than watch her mom suffer ever again for money which she now realizes is easy to claim .

ryder?? an absolute idiot 99% of the time... he’s very much the comic relief in most situations and whenever people talk about him they just go “man he’s so fucking funny”
he tries not to take life too seriously despite having A LOT of anxiety in most situations
his anxiety just makes him overconfident at times, trying absolutely anything to get people to like him and then spends the next 3 days worrying about what he said and convincing himself that everyone hates him... it’s a wonderful cycle
in his late teen years got a bit too into partying and popping pills and dabbling into the cocaína to the point where he had a bit of an addiction problem with it but as for right now he’s 90% sober (weed & xannies are his pals oki)
so ye he’s an upcoming musician... makes... a slight living off of it and has released a few EPs and such, his vc is LANY with a lil bit of LAUV as well! he’s set to release an album by the end of the year!
he probably has a lot of friends but not many SUPER close friends if that makes sense? like he wouldn’t be telling everyone his deepest darkest secrets but friendly with anybody and everybody

Alice "Ace" Carmichael was born to Edward and Francesca Carmichael, a wealthy, but rather *traditional* family from Charleston, South Carolina. The Carmichael family “earned” their wealth through sound investments and real estate, but truthfully, the money to even be able to do those things were from generations before when Mathias Carmichael was a pioneer of the railroad industry, so the money was simply built upon generation after generation and never truly earned by the current Carmichaels in charge.
In her youth, Alice had all of the expectations in the world thrust upon her. She was a girl of society, and in that world, she was expected to do well in school, go to an Ivy League University and meet a wealthy man to settle down with and be a rich housewife, philanthropist, and most importantly, mother.
These ideals were drilled into Alice for her entire life. She was supposed to play multiple instruments and be able to recognize the top artists in the world, but never allowed to fall in love with art. She was supposed to graduate at the top of her prep school class, but only so she could attract a suitable husband. She walked with books upon her head and read the classics to gain poise and intelligence. She dressed like a lady and fit perfectly into what a lady of society was supposed to be. Her parents couldn't have been more proud.
Until things changed.
When Alice was 12, her mother died very suddenly in a car accident while she was in the car with her. The two were arguing about which dress Alice would wear to an upcoming event when the distracted driving caused Francesca to swerve into oncoming traffic. Her death was nearly instant, but Alice walked away with nothing more than a fractured wrist and some bruising.
Alice blamed herself for what happened. She knew that if she had just accepted the dress that her mother wanted her to wear, none of it would have happened. If she would have been the perfect, quiet, seen but not heard child that they had tried to raise her to be, her mother would still be around.
When her father started drinking, she realized that he blamed her too.
After that, she began rejecting everything that she had grown up with. She no longer wanted to be the society girl. She hated the glitter and the ballgowns. And she went in the exact opposite direction, dressing more alternatively and behaving more recklessly. She stopped going by Alice, she felt that name no longer fit how she felt, and she took up the nickname Ace. If you call her Alice, chances are, she won’t answer. She might even yell or swing.
Her dad was too drunk to notice, most of the time. There were a few moments when he would try to get himself together and father the girl who had gotten completely out of line, but it was never very long before the bottle was in his hand and he was passing out on the couch.
Her grades slipped, his control of their finances and family money slipped. Next thing they knew, she was kicked out of her prep school and he was looking for a new place for them to live on the poorer side of town.
In public school, it didn’t take long for Ace to fall in with the bad crowd. She started skipping school, shoplifting, smoking and doing various drugs with them. She was an after school special before things were magically fixed in the end.
One thing she did discover was that she had a love for music, but no proper output for it. She learned keyboard, guitar, and how to sing, and even started a little band with some of her friends.
At 17, Ace dropped out. She was already failing most of her classes, not because she didn’t understand the material, but because she was rarely at school. She got her GED and started working various jobs around town. She moved out of her dad’s place the second she could.
Currently, she’s working as a barista and still plays with her band at various gigs around town (but definitely not enough to live off of by any means.) She is still a little too much into partying and doing illegal substances.
ok this go waaaaaaaay out of hand, but there’s ace for you. if you read all of that, i’ll be amazed.
