(Premise of this mini au: Hayle, the god of the region its protector and mostly seen as an untouchable figure, watching them from his home. Chris: The reaper who sees a lonely god, and decides that perhaps he can change things.) Chris: So you never walked here? Hayle: No. He was not sure what he had expected, he had never even thought about walking among them all before he had stumbled on this reaper in his travels around the lands themselves. It had been an odd meeting, he had spotted a dying human, and being curious he had landed close by, to see if perhaps he could at least be there for this persons last moments. It was then he had noticed the person was not alone. Another was there, sitting with them, but not doing anything. He had at first accused the person for being the culprit but as he looked at him he realized he was looking at death, or more accurately one of their reapers. Chris: How come? Hayle: I somehow thought it would be odd? They don’t know me, they only know the well myth? Chris: They still only know the myth, they will never know anything else unless you want them too. You do really not look anything like their idea of you, the big dragon in the sky. He chuckled, he had seen their attempts at making him. Many times had he felt like correcting them, but oddly for a god, he had always been afraid. Afraid that if he showed them this form, they would no longer think off him as a god. Maybe as an impostor instead? Hayle: So you still think I should live among them, let them see this me? Chris: Yes, you will still be their god, their deity, but imagine knowing that their deity is there, listening and talking to them directly. No longer will someone make up what they think you want, for the first time, they will know. Hayle: That would be nice.. these people use my name for all manner of things. Chris chuckled, he had heard some of it, and seen some of the writings. He enjoyed the company of this fairly young god, and he hoped perhaps he could guide him, to become the god he felt he was. He knew his story, left alone from a very young age in these lands, to rule them as he saw fit. Which he was still working out how to.

Chris: The only way to do this, is to become a visible god, not one hiding in the sky. Hayle: You make it sound so easy. Chris: It is always easy to say what someone should do. What is hard, is making it happen. (To be continued tomorrow)

Posted on 20 Aug Fireball Irish Nationals and Pre-Worlds day 1 Lots of breeze for the fleet warming up for the Worlds at Lough Derg The Pre-Worlds phase of the GUL sponsored Fireball World Championships started off yesterday morning in much the same way as it had concluded the day before - with lots of breeze, from a broadly similar direction - 240 degrees. Posted on 21 Aug Fireball Irish Nationals and Pre-Worlds overall He went afloat in a rib to assess the wind and recorded speeds of less than 2 knots. The Race Officer held the fleet ashore as there was no wind in the proposed race area. Race Officer records wind speeds of less than 2 knots There was no sailing today at the Gul Fireball Worlds. Three more races completed in a building breeze The dinghy park at Lough Derg Yacht Club, hosts to the GUL Fireball World Championship, is quiet this morning! Posted on 27 Aug Gul Fireball Worlds at Lough Derg day 4 Solitary race confirms the title for Tom Gillard & Andy Thompson Lough Derg Yacht Club in County Tipperary, Ireland is quiet this morning! The yacht club which played host to the 2022 GUL Fireball World Championships over the past seven days is a scene of tents being dismantled and trailers being prepped. Related Articles Gul Fireball Worlds at Lough Derg overall During the latter stages of the race the wind started to fade but never got below the 5knot threshold. The balance of the podium places on the water were filled by Hall & Constable and Isaac Marsh & Oliver Davenport (GBR 15162), the P&B jockeys, but McCartin & Kinsella were in the chase as well as Mermod & Moser and Heather McFarlane & Chris Payne (AUS 15152). Indeed, the first three or four boats had pulled away from the body of the fleet and all looked comfortable. After another clean start in winds that were consistently above ten knots, the North jockeys, Gillard & Shandy had a very substantial lead. Having completed the two races slightly ahead of schedule, the Race Officer decided to give the fleet a three-lap third race - triangle-sausage-triangle. Also, on the downwind leg of the sausage, the fleet was more inclined to split left and right. The religious conviction that left was the way to go started getting diluted in this race as more boats set off for the second weather mark by taking a hitch to the right. McCartin & Kinsella sailed into fourth with David Hall & Paul Constable (GBR 15155) getting into fifth. The Czech Republic pairing of Jiri Paruzek & Jakub Kosvica (CZE 15141) made their way to second place with Mike Deane & Paul Disney (GBR 14778) getting into third. We also found ourselves with a new running order with Steve & Tom Goacher (GBR 15145) leading the fleet around the course - again quite comfortably. Race 2 was also a two-lap course but with more wind - the knots creeping up to 10 - 12. The top reach of the triangle looked exciting from our perspective and the second reach was also of a high standard. Hayling Island's David Sayce and Gareth Edwards (GBR 15112) would be next in line with Derian and Andy Scott (GBR 14941). However, the hosts of this regatta, were also well to the fore with the green spinnaker of Barry McCartin & Conor Kinsella (IRL 15093) in third. Behind them we found another white spinnaker but with a mainsail that had a distinctive sailmaker's label - that of Tom Gillard & Shandy (GBR 15122) and North Sails. It turned out to be the spinnaker of Claude Mermod & Ruedi Moser (SUI 14799) and they held the lead throughout the race. The procession of red spinnakers on Thursday and Friday's racing last week was broken when a white spinnaker was seen to take the lead at the weather mark, just less than a mile away from this correspondent on the committee boat. Wind at this stage was of the order of 8 knots with occasional fluctuations above and below this number. He was true to his word as he departed the shore shortly after 10:00 and got the fleet away to a punctual start for Race 1, a two-lap triangle and sausage course. After the loss of two races on Sunday due to insufficient wind, IRO Con Murphy advised the fleet at the GUL Fireball Worlds that three races would be on the agenda for Monday with an earlier start time of 11:00.

2. What's something about your OC that people wouldn't expect just from looking at them? - That he is an all powerful, ancient god of ice, someone that spend more years than he would care to remmeber, being someone people were worried would not be happy with them.

4. When scared, does your OC fight, flee, freeze or fawn? - He would fight these days. When he was still learning how to deal with emotions, he would panic, and then probably just freeze everything around him.

6. How easily could your OC be convinced to do something that goes against their moral compass? - Pretty much impossible these days, he knows to well where he stands on things.

8. Would your OC ostensibly be able to get away with murder? - As a god, probably yes.

10. What's an AU that would be interesting to explore with your OC? - Probably a full fantasy one, where his and Chris's story isn't set in a sims world, and the way they meet would be different.

12. Is your OC self-destructive? In what ways? - Nope, it doesn't lie in his nature to be.

14. How does your OC want to be seen by other characters? - The good, kind dad friend, that you can just come to with any question you have and be listened too and given some advice that will help you out.

16. What is your OC's pain tolerance like? - Very high, its again part of being a god. As an ice god though they are somewhat vunerable to burns

18. Is your OC more cold and detached or up close and personal? - It depends a little on how he feels about you. He can be very up close, but to some people, he can easily feel detatched.

20. Does your OC have a tendency to get jealous? If so, how does this manifest? - Surprisingly yes. He hasn't had many reasons to feel that feeling, but it manifests with him becoming sad, and often he pulls away to think.

22. What character alignment would you consider your OC to be? - I think slightly caothic good, the caothic side coming from the fact that he is a god, and can for instance eat someone if he feels their worthy of his wrath.

23. What is an alternative life path your OC might have gone down? How different would their life be if they'd made those decisions? - I guess the one path he could have taken was to not enter a BC, which of course would have let him wonder the world without guidance, and I can't see that go very well. I can however see them meeting due to well.. a paniced god kills people. (this may be my idea in the rewrite of their story I am ever so slowly trying to work on)

What memory would your OC rather just forget? - The loss of Rylan, it hurts both much more than most realize. They don't want to forget him, but the memory of that day, both would like to forget.

5. How far is your OC willing to go to get what they want? Because of what Chris is, they are both not the type that go that far for it, they know the consequences, and they have stepped fairly far. So by now, their more the think it though, but I guess for the right reason, they would both go beyond what would be good.

7. What's one way your OC has changed since you first came up with them? Chris has become, well a completly different character after not being picked for the bachelor I originally made him for. Becoming a reaper, and suddenly a main character in his own story. Hayle, well, he was someone elses at first. I think the fact that he has become such a well rounded character, and a dad friend is what surprises me the most.

8. Would your OC ostensibly be able to get away with murder? Yes and no, they would get away with it in the "human world" but neither would get away from Kieran's judgment and consequences for breaking the natural order.

10. What's an AU that would be interesting to explore with your OC? I think full fantasy AU, or perhaps one where he follows in his mom's footsteps into music.. both would be interresting to deal with. Or perhaps one where he isn't nice at all, and becomes evil but able to hide it from those around him.

10. If you met your OC, would the two of you get along? Yeah, I think we would. He is a calm type of person, that I could see sitting in a cafe with just talking about the latest book we read or game we played. Hopefully he would feel the same way back. I'd love a world where I would get to meet him.

19. How does your OC behave when enraged? Answered in an earlier one.. lets just say not well.

I have more pictures to share, but you will see them in the coming days, and I know I will go back there and take more screenshots later, because WOW! I just wanted to say thank you to @elfydrell for allowing me to have my sims walk too the streets and the many nooks and surprising spots in their build by sending me the files. The build is amazing, and I love all the attention to detail, and I am still sure there is much I have yet to spot as I look around.

It made me think of a small AU for Hayle and Chris that I might end using the pictures for.. nothing big, but the idea is there.
