#concerning the very founders of cobra kai

What Cobra Kai Season 4 needed was an oddly inspirational, hopeful flashback of Terry and John opening their first dojo post-war and making the furnishings and repairs personally because this is their baby and they’d never let anyone else do it on sheer principle and possessiveness (Who knows better anyway?), but have it be framed almost like a romantic montage, in spite of them being villains, because this is how they’d view themselves --- through an idealistic, hopeful light. Oh, yes, and the background music to it can be Be My Baby by The Ronettes. Literally, anything with that campy ✨unf ✨
The lyrics ‘I’ll make you happy, baby’ come on and it is just a giggling Terry practically throwing wads of cash at a John smiling from ear to ear to fund their mutual dream, as they get high on their own ventures. ‘We’ll make them turn their heads everywhere we go’? Terry and John seamlessly collecting tournament victories as the crowd claps them on and goes crazy ---- And ‘For every kiss you give me, I’ll give you three’ as it cuts to Terry fighting some vandals in a back alley after they threw a brick through the dojo window. His fists are bloody set to the sweetest, most upbeat track you’ve ever heard.
Thanks.

So we know how obsessive, controlling, and overbearing Terry would be in a relationship but I was wondering what are some positive aspects of being in a relationship with him?
Loyal and devoted ― Once Terry's actually in, Terry's actually in. His devotion lasts a lifetime and is almost entirely absolute when he sets his mind to it. Downside is, there's no getting rid of him. Upside is, there's no getting rid of him. He's steadfast and he's by your side and every kindness of yours is repaid, by default, by ten of his, because he's genuinely generous and giving with those he cares about. Emphasis on the those he cares about. One could even dare say he's good, as ironic and bizarre as that may sound, because he absolutely isn't good. He's good in the very limited, polarized bubble where his people are concerned and if you so happen to fall under this limited polarized bubble, in your world, Terry Silver will actually be a good, because he will act good. Be good. Treat you good. Whatever else happens outside of his little bubble is fair game.
Protective ― Don't figure you'll ever be messed with in your life, because he's territorial and defensive and very meticulous about you being safe and his. He's big. He's imposing. He's powerful. He has connections. He's physically strong. He isn't afraid of getting his hands dirty or going to whatever ends, no matter how extreme. He has money. He has influence. When he wants you protected, then you will absolutely be protected with everything at his disposal to make it happen. Given, it also does help that Cobra Kai almost functions as a gang and that by default association, you'll be left alone just due to who you're with. A Cobra. And not just any Cobra. The co-founder and prime financier behind the whole project. Also, being with a literal Billionaire can afford you all the security money can possibly buy in general. Which, speaking of ---
Provider ― You will never lack for a thing. He'll absolutely make sure of it. His people get taken care of in any and every sense and he's fairly adamant about it too. Your life is pretty cushy and comfortable --- abundantly lavish, even, for lack of any humbleness --- because he wants it so. No arguing him either. There is no more stress. No more hurdles. No more unpredictables. Life becomes a breeze. Doors open. Everything you want you get. Even the things you never expressed wanting you still get. Problems solved. All of them. All of the problems. Dreams you never knew you had become a reality within reach. Possibilities deemed impossible become possible and somehow, your existence becomes as comfortably full as a beachside mansion patio and as exuberant as a Mayan temple mansion of The Hills. The whole world is yours and he will give it to you.
Biased ― You are the best. The best there ever was. Ever will be. Simply, he's your biggest cheerleader and the first one in the room to speak of you in superlatives, whether you're around or not, to the point of being an absolute nepotist about it too. But, he doesn't care. If John Kreese was still the greatest Karate Man that has ever lived, right after being effectively floored and defeated within three seconds flat by a much older person, then surely, you'd be the greatest person, the greatest significant other, the greatest of beauties, the best lover, the most talented individual the best everything, even if it's objectively untrue. And if you doubt yourself, he takes it to personal insult, because you insulting yourself, is like outright insulting him. He doesn't choose wrong or badly ---- ever --- and you implying he does is anger-inducing.
Helpful ― Terry Silver, reasonably, probably cares more about your problems and whatever it is that ails you, no matter how miniscule and insignificant, than you yourself do, even though he's convinced there's no such things as insignificant problem --- he's also more intrinsically introduced to the crucks of how he can solve your issues, one by one, upon you're hopefully nothing but blissfully content by his side. Someone slighted you? They better watch out. You diet? Taken care of. Your health? Going through regular check ups. Your needs? All met. Things you want? They're all yours, just ask for them or vaguely even hint at them. Things you don't want? They're yours anyway purely because Terry has the ability to give them to you and wants you to have them. Other people you care about, like your family? Also taken care of, because whatever's yours, is his.
Loves Deeply ― There's no half-assing it with him if he's truly committed. He's dedicated. He's passionate. He's intense. You could very well implement the rule of the three D's where his emotional life is concerned. Desire, Devotion and Discipline --- all for you. Terry actually has an immense, undeniable, repressed capacity for love that's highly underrated and overlooked, and this same capacity for love often times ranges to the point of morbidness. The same way his ability at hatred or penchant for revenge and really, whatever energy he could implement towards maliciousness he could just as easily implement towards adoration with just as much intricate interest, care and relentless want with the right person. For all his many faults and morally ethical flaws, he's legitimately a sweet lover. Tenacious, needy, possessive, but sweet.
Sensual ― For all those who wonder, he's also a good lover, as it wasn't made abundantly clear by now. He's experienced. He's worldly. He's knowledgeable and ready to teach and guide. He's cultured. He's skilled. He's charismatic. He's majorly educated in several fields, raging from music, languages, a knack for business, all the way down to martial arts. He's dominant. He has an effortlessly seductive way about him when he wants it so. He's handsome. Well-dressed. Knows how to give you pleasure, pain, discipline, denial, ecstasy, pampering, playfulness, punishment or whatever it is you currently need or want out of him. He knows what he's doing. He knows his body. He knows yours as well--- and he wants it often and constantly too. Your sex life is pretty much enviable. Dead bedrooms are not a thing in this dojo. Beds on fire are, though.

what would you like to see if silver comes back and what do you think about johnny vs silver?
Everyone mentions Daniel being terrified by the prospect of Terry returning, but I’d like Johnny somewhat conflicted and thrown-off balance as well, in a way. He’s only human with layers, after all. Kreese alone marked his childhood years in a major way significantly enough, so to encounter what’s essentially Kreese’s star pupil, his war compatriot, the greatest friend in his lifetime and honestly the biggest bastard in the franchise should leave Johnny wondering;
“Wait, was this what Kreese had in mind for me too? Is this what he was ultimately trying to turn me into with his teachings?”
Also, alternatively:
“Was this what I was supposed to become in order have him be impressed with me in the first place? Wow, I was so far off from reaching that standard.”
Oof, the angst.
Listen, Kreese is ultimately his father figure, biggest influence and mentor for the longest time ever, even if traumatized by all of these things, a teeny-tiny part of Johnny would still subconciously want to match up and be (even if begrudgingly) good enough in his eyes even after all these years. But, how do you compare to a man like Terry Silver who literally stops at nothing, knows no bounds and pretty much embodies the creed of Cobra Kai in a very matter-of-fact sense and is a downright psychopath? Strike hard, strike first - no mercy. Emphasis on the no mercy part. How does Johnny become that without losing himself? How does anyone?
And how does he voice this concern without insulting the actual owner of Cobra Kai and coming off as too soft for even daring to do so in the first place? Knowing what Terry’s actually capable of doing when crossed even slightly.
Especially after learning how Kreese and Terry put Daniel through hell.
Was he supposed to hurt a kid that badly all those years ago just to be considered - you know - not a disappointment to his sensei who can’t handle loss for shit? In a karate championship? When they were literal teenagers? In highschool? Just for a fleeting moment of victory he lost fair and square?
Bullshit.
I want Johnny to feel envy Kreese favoured and still (probably) favours someone more over him, I want him to feel a certain amount of sadness and depression he never matched up to that image of a perfectly cold, ruthless and unhinged warrior that stops at nothing to win, I want him to feel almost tempted into giving in because his bravado and pride would’ve pushed him to fix what he considers he messed up some thirty years ago by embodying that same ruthlessness Terry has too, I want him to weight all the options and despite feeling very torn and realizing just how much he’ll anger the actual headmasters and founders of Cobra Kai in the process by choosing sides like this, I still want him to pick the right path and be like “No man, this is all wrong - we’re not doing this.”
And then and only then do I want him to take Daniel’s side and defend him.
