The New Year’s Eve party had been everything he thought it would be and more. He’d run into familiar faces and even spoken to some new ones - most notably Alexander King himself. The champagne had conversation flowing freer than ever and Romeo was immersed in his element. On the hunt for someone new to talk to after the abrupt ending of his prior interaction thanks to a very eager client, the masseur scanned the crowd idly for any vaguely familiar faces before settling on Aslan. The man, who he recognized by those broad shoulders and tall stature, had come to him and Nathan for a massage or two in the time he’d been there. He’d never had much of a chance to get to know him apart from some very basic conversation and he immediately decided he was going to do just that. 

Finishing off his champagne flute, he stole another for the client and skillfully slipped through the crowd to reach him, a charming smile on his face. “Aslan, right? I’d recognize those shoulders anywhere.”

• got a job and regularized on my first day

• consistent president's lister at school

• consistent top performer at work

• supportive family and partner

• supportive bffs

• kept my circle small bc i knew how these ppl throw shits 🤮

• got my second life insurance

• made my first 6 digits sale both lazada and shopee this yr (tho i discontinued my shopee store since may 2022)

• cut my relationship as a relative and friend to those ppl who questioned and bad mouth my religion (idc hu tf r u)

• grateful to my bf's family for treating me like their own daughter (to d point dat they're always looking for me than Nikko lmao)

• got paid every other friday more than what i dasurv (thanks kuya wells mwa)

• got 3 pairs of branded shoes from my own money

• able to spend new yr's eve again w/ my fam after many yrs of working during dec 31st.

Some bullets that I am grateful for and learned this 2022. Cheers to more in 2023! 🍻🎉

Romeo was preoccupied with the hors d'oeuvres when he spotted the man he’d been keeping an eye out for since the secret santa event had ended and been made not so secret. Captain Hadrian was a mystery to say the least - very hard to shop for, he didn’t tell anyone much of anything about himself and didn’t even use his real name. He could respect the need for privacy, but damn did it make him wanna know more. It made him want to figure him out, learn what kinda guy he really was; at the very least he wanted to make good on the rest of his secret santa gift. Finishing the rest of the bite-sized snack he’d swiped up, he approached the man with an easy smile.

“Ahoy there, Captain. Lookin’ sharp.” Admittedly not his best opener, but also not his worst.
