so since i got a new job, i won’t really have the time to stay up late and write (because all my writing usually gets done in the hours between 11 pm and 2 am) so while y’all are waiting for chapter seven of delicate (which is most likely going to be a monster of a chapter) i figured i’ll start dropping some delicateverse headcanons maybe? just for fun? so... look out for those soon :)

The "Roy and Riza go undercover" has me like 👀 I love undercover royai so much it's so perfect 👌

Undercover Royai is really such a Classic royai trope that I’ve barely touched on so I’m excited to write this!! It’s going to be a delicateverse Roy POV (though very, very easily readable for anyone who hasn’t read delicate) and it’s like “side to side” in that it’s an excuse for a shameless fic where Roy thirsts over Riza because it’s been literal MONTHS since I’ve written something light on plot and angst, and heavy on thirst. :)

I haven’t actually started putting words on a page for this, but I was awake between 5 and 6 AM today and before I fell asleep again, I mentally wrote a ton of it in my mind. :) I haven’t decided whether I want to work on this or delicate part 14 this weekend.

Fandoms: ASOIAF/Game of Thrones pretty exclusively for the past several years, but I used to have my fingers in a ton of different fandoms, most notably Harry Potter

Where you post: AO3 except for a couple of tumblr ficlets that I never migrated over

Most popular one-shot: That would be A Tale of Two Sisters, definitely. I think it’s still my most popular fic in the fandom, period.

Most popular multi-chapter story: I’m pretty sure it’s The Seasons of My Love by comments, but it’s A Heart That Offends by kudos

Favorite story you wrote: It’s kind of impossible for me to pick, but it might be a toss up between Winter in My Blood and my two delicateverse fics, ‘cause I know that it’s delicate and is it chill that you’re in my head. I’m also extremely partial to my Mansfield Park AU but I’m honestly not far enough in it for it be a favorite (yet).

Story you were nervous to post: How about every single one? Um, but in seriousness, I think the entire A Heart That Offends journey was nerve-wracking for me because it was my first multi-chapter “plotty” fic, and people started having expectations and opinions about how it should wrap up, and I’m still pretty sure several readers were fairly disappointed, but ANYWAY. It was a learning experience.

How you choose your titles: If it’s something that I intended to be multiple chapters, I try to think of something appropriate, sometimes taken from a song lyric or some in-universe concept, but I try to keep them relatively simple. One-shots and things that were intended to be oneshots get long lyric titles, usually from Taylor Swift, because I cannot be bothered to think of something better.

Do you outline: Sort of. I have rough outlines of the entirety of my ongoing wips but I rarely if ever outline chapters, and I also frequently deviate from my outlines. I also usually wait to outline until I’m a few chapters in, which is awfully stupid of me. Anyway, there’s a reason the “plots” of my fics don’t always quite come together, and it’s because I don’t devote enough time to actually... plotting them. HOPEFULLY that will eventually change but no promises.

Complete: All my one-shots obviously, plus Winter in My Blood and A Heart That Offends (though technically I still need to write the AHTO wedding night epilogue...... but let’s not talk about that)

In progress: The Seasons of My Love and half agony, half hope (the Mansfield Park AU), as well as the final part of come out of hiding (I’m right here beside you), which I’m literally working on as I type this up. I’ve also got more planned for The Abandoned Bride series though it’s a bit lower on the to-do list.

Coming soon/not-yet-started: Soooo many ideas but I’m trying to devote myself to what I’ve already started before doing anything new. Something potentially on the horizon is an AU where Shae lives and Varys helps her and Sansa flee to Essos together before Sansa and Tyrion’s wedding.

Do you accept prompts?: I mean, theoretically, but I’ve only ever actually written two fics based on prompts. If the spirit moves you, please feel free to send me prompts, but I might never touch it.

Upcoming story you are most excited to write: Honestly? I’m super pumped to start fleshing out The Abandoned Bride and also to get back to the Mansfield Park AU! Seasons of My Love is by far my most popular WIP and I am excited about where it’s going next, but I’m also starting to worry that I’m going to disappoint everyone. That said, the current plan is to finish come out of hiding (i’m right here beside you), then update SOML, then Mansfield Park and The Abandoned Bride. But like... we’ll see what happens. 

I never know who to tag for these things and also I’ve seen it a lot on my dash already so I’d probably end up tagging people who’ve already done it, so let’s just say if you haven’t done it yet, I’m officially tagging you right now.

Have you ever thought of writing a third part in Politically Advantageous Alliances? It's a nice series.

Right now I don't have an idea for what a third part would be! I'm also pretty busy both in real life and in writing, so it hasn't come up. Maybe if someone has an idea or really wants a certain scene it could be made a priority, but right now I have some other requests and the delicateverse I'm working on. I'm glad you really like the series though!

ok my fic request. so you know how team mustang goes undercover for missions, and they're usually pretty swanky? well what if roy and riza went undercover somewhere sketchier and riza's in a teeny little outfit that drives roy wild 👀💦💦 (plus roy is used to dressing up all the time!)
