I want to set this story in the 2010s or maybe even 2000s because fsr I still get weirded out when a cartoon character pulls out like a modern day cellphone

so Sid is a twin too! I thought about it and caved in and made her sister Avery trans because I realized that if I didn't it would be the first time I write twins where they're both cis and also cause fuck it I said so it's my story. Also I thought it'd be cute if the twins are fraternal but call themselves identical anyway dnfjka.

so Sids the protag of that vampire story idea i posted about before! I'm still deciding on the details of her turning but all that matters is it wasn't a choice and she isn't coping well. her life is quite literally over and she just doesn't know where to go from here. as I mentioned before throughout the story she will be writing letters to Avery.

I wanted her to really just feel like a normal real life teen. And in some ways the vampirism can def be read as allegorical for struggles with growing up, particularly the idea of coping with change and grieving your childhood. it might end up being a 'stages of grief' type narrative with the themes of acceptance.
