The true test to the strength of spirit of any Hunter fan is coming to the realization that "modern AU"/human Hunter would've been raised mormon

Luz made Hunter a playlist of "popular human songs" to help him feel more acquainted with the human realm when he first moves in with her. But, because she's a little shit, the whole playlist is meme songs. She thinks she was being very funny and clever about it all until:
Hunter plays the entirety of Imogen Heaps' "Hide and Seek" during car trips;
He doesn't like wearing headphones and listens to the Wii Shop channel theme on loop while working around the house;
While genuenly trying to be romantic, Hunter tells her there's a song that reminds him of her and proceeds to rickroll Luz during a romantic candlelight dinner.

As a Hunter fan, the only redemption arc I'll accept for him is if the show pulls a Goob from "Meet the Robinsons".
Hunter isn't a villain because of what he does to make Belos happy or because of his trauma responses. He's a villain because even though he's shown to have a (pretty rudimentary) moral compass, he still chooses to go against it if it shows that he can get something out of it. He's aware his uncle is dangerous but he still adopts all his methods of "persuasion". He's aware of his own suffering but has no problem inflicting it to someone else. And he seems to only be able to connect with someone and their struggles if he can see himself in their situation, not because he genuenly sympathizes with them.
So I'd really like to see him handled like Goob: recognize his trauma, help fix the mess he created, and leave to try and do better alone.
I hope they don't make it Luz or anyone else's responsability to make him a "good guy".
Or just leave him as a villain. That would be cool too.

Making the Owl House theories I really want to see cause I can't trust YouTube for that
Hunter watches Big City Greens on his crystal ball. That's canon, Dana drew it so it's canon. I'll assume it's Disney+.
Tumblr media
We can safely assume he watches Amphibia too since he also has merch from that show in his room.
Tumblr media
But Disney never officially sold any Amphibia or Big City Greens merch.
Emperor Belos doesn't have a portal to the human realm like Eda had. That's canon, a major plot point if you will. Which means that Eda was the only person bringing human objects to the Boiling Isles.
But like I've already mentioned, even if Steve got a hold of any of the things she sold and brought them back to the castle, a doll of Sprig and Remy would never be among them because Disney never made them. Sure there's fan made merch but no one would throw something like that out and Eda gets most of her human stuff from the trash.
Hunter sews. Hunter enjoys arts and crafts. Hunter has threaten Steve over him using his sewing scissors to cut tortillas.
And Luz commissions him for a doll of King.
