as we are remembering things....CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE FACT THAT IN MOONVALE WE WILL BE ABLE TO READ FANFICS?? I keep imagining that Jake and MC became so famous that people created FANFICS about the two of them or about the Duskwood case itself, I was surprised by this decision by everbyte and I believe that they read a lot of fanfics from extremely talented authors in the fandom and want to somehow reproduce it in the new game.

(I imagine Jake reading these fanfics in the game and being embarrassed when he finds a hot one)

Well, yes! Absolutely needed to remember. Tbh, after finishing episode 10, the last few days I really had to think about it excessively, I still don’t know what to think about it. I mean, I don’t know any game or similar that that has ever done this. It's so, wow. And also 'wtf' xD

And in fact, I have the same theory as you, which would definitely make a lot of sense, if not most sense. And that’s why I don’t know exactly what to make of it, especially, what fanfictions will they use? And how exactly it is going to be, ahhhh. It's crazy, definitely.

Another possibility would be that it is something like another forum, only this time for writers or something. Or another library-like thing. I mean, had this two things in duskwood. And finding some 'books' aka fanfictions there would be interesting as well. Or yeah, like in the forum, people shared their written things.

This is a huge mystery, tbh. I can’t believe Everbyte just dropped that question and then didn’t mention it ever again. How can they do this to us? 😭 It's truly tormenting my thoughts. xD

However, I am also a bit afraid of how it will be and how exactly it will turn up. I mean, this could get a lot of people into fanfiction who don’t know or appreciate this kind of creativity. I feat it could also lead to hate for the authors or for people making jokes about it etc. So I really hope everything is going to be careful with it.

And also, gosh, if they read fanfiction... PLEASE NO. I mean, I don’t know if they know about tumblr and the fandom but just imagine it is... WAHHHHH. A bit embarrassing, tbh. But also kinda cool. Because it's absolutely right, we have so many amazing writer in this community and I would love it when Everbyte knows about them. They writer deserve to be appreciated for it.

And, Jake reading some smut about him and MC... I LOVE THIS so much. It would be so funny and well, hot. This imagine is incredible. Also that other people around MC would know about these type of fanfiction and that people wrote some including MC. Call me weird but I love that as well. Hehe. It is definitely a slightly different way to show off. But it's a good way.

Your bias line is so good and you're so real for being Seokmin biased dk biased creatures are my favourite 😍 my svt bias unit (there are so many i decided to make a whole unit) has Jeonghan, Scoups (remember the green room aggressive 'gwiyomi' video??? Yeah I fell in love with him after watching that) Hoshi and Vernon (he was actually my first bias in svt i religiously watched every YT vid they put out because of him, Jeonghan and Hoshi)

Your neo bias and bias wreckers line is so good too you have TASTE ma'am and we also have some common biases! In the neo bias unit there's Taeyong, Jaehyun, Yuta (127) Jeno and Jaemin (dream), Jisung (U), YangYang (WayV) but despite all these biases my fav member has to be Mork (I'm sorry to all my biases 😭)

From Riize i thought i would end up being Sungchan or Shotaro (still can't believe they aren't in NCT anymore...) biased but I ended up being Wonbin, Sohee and seunghan biased

Other than that it's Hyunjin (stray kids) Mingi (Ateez) i don't really have a bias in got7 they are kinda like big brothers?? But my fav is bambam! Hyungwon and Shownu (monsta x), we have the same bias in Shinee (Key and Jonghyun 😭) Minho is the bias wrecker, Sehun (Exo), Taehyung (BTS), Soobin (txt) Jake (enha), Jihyo (Twice), Seulgi (RV)

Ahh the 00s classics! I love all those movies you mentioned! I really love watching films and TV shows (smth me and Vernon have in common) and one thing that's important to me is the fashion I am a big fashion lunatic and looove to see a good outfit on screen with that being said some of my favourite 'comfort' films are Clueless (1995), Fight club, Adams family (both 91 film and 60s sitcom), funny face, breakfast at Tiffany's, Heathers, pretty woman, the devil wears the prada, mean girls, pulp fiction, fallen angels (1995) and more. My favourite directors are Wong kar wai, Quentin Tarantino, Satoshi Kon and Hayao Miyazaki (maybe Martin scoresse too)

Hello hbj, I saw that you are going to episode 10 again and I reached Jake's final conversation for the thousandth time and the feeling of agony and tightness in my chest continues, parting with Jake is inevitably painful, I honestly don't see a way out for Jake, based on his description, he's either arrested or killed, I cling to the idea that everbyte wouldn't be crazy enough to kill Jake but arrest him... maybe?

Nahh, they definitely did not kill him. I don’t really like to say things like that just because there are other options, objectively spoken, I don’t like to exclude things. BUT here, I'm 100% sure he's alive.

I agree Everbyte wouldn’t do that. We have often talked about how many reasons there are that it will not happen. Simply from a business perspective, that would be unwise. However, in my opinion, there are pretty obvious clues that Jake will be back in Moonvale.

I’m one of the people who would find it very interesting if Jake were actually arrested. I think you could make a lot of cool things out of it. And I think 'just' an arrest still gives us enough opportunities to get back in touch with Jake. There’s still a theory that MC has to help the FBI, along with Jake, after an arrest. I don’t know if that would be a bit too much for a game, but the possibility exists. But the main thing is that I’m absolutely sure that Jake will come back in some way. If not... But I said, I find it very unlikely. And I don't want to think about other options xD

But yes, the emotions while playing episode 10, especially when you reach the last conversation with Jake, it gets me every time again. Heavily. I always try not to think about it so much, what I ignore is not really there. ;)

And I’m happy to be able to restart the game every time, if you start everything from the beginning it’s almost like nothing happened. Almost. 👀 Anyway, I hope you could overcome the end of episode 10 well and it was bearable. This messanger - chat - concept gets you extremely much. It's special but makes games even harder, haha.

The new game is taking forever, I wish it would release already 😭 I know they're making it better but it's hard waiting until the end of 2023 and now sometime in 2024 😮‍💨 I miss my antisocial hacker husband

Yep, can relate a lot. I miss him so bad. It's truly hard.

Well, but I believe it won't take much longer until the release. I mean, they expected to be able to release it at the end of 2023. So, I think they were almost done. The problem was, as say said, not everything was working the it's supposed to work. So I think what they have to do is to improve some coding and etc etc etc. For example, making the mini games work better. Etc. And, I like to remember myself - Dan, Cleo and Thomas already played the first episode. So, it's playable but probably with little bugs. And looking for bugs, as you might know, is pain in the ass. xD

I can’t estimate how long it will take, but I just hope that we will get more news soon. I'm even sure we will get news soon. Keeping my fingers crossed for it.

I really need to know what happened to Jake. I miss him. I need to know how the relationship will go after the last chat with him. If things change or if they will just be as usual but with some romance in between. I want hackerman back. 🥲

Oh, seriously? 👀 I mean, I saw them liking comments and commenting, but with someone who addressed the topic with Jake’s make? This is quite interesting. Very interesting. I mean, we know Everbyte is good when it comes to hints. Of course, it can also be a coincidence, but it is bold. Hehe.

But, I mean, I'm pretty sure Jake will be back in Moonvale.

Why should they mention him in such an obvious way when he won’t be in Moonvale? That wouldn’t make sense to me. And if we are honest, jake is one of the biggest reasons why there is the duskwood code option. Jake was the most popular character and even though we like the others, we all wanted (needed) Jake back. In some way, jake will still be there. And nobody can change my mind. xD So I can really imagine that it is another little hint from Everbyte, just a little extra. To make the waiting a little more exciting but also more bearable.

Nevertheless, I have to mention again that it was just liked by chance because they liked a lot of comments. Even if I'm almost 100% sure Jake will be there, I don’t want to spread false hope.

While moonvale isn't enough...I have a little theory, we know that Eric Briggs is mentioned by Alan in episode 10, what if he really is part of the police but as some kind of hacker? a programmer? Alan managed to protect himself from Jake twice, so there was someone who helped him protect himself from Jake and what if it was Eric? What if he played the role of Jake in Moonvale? being a new hacker who will help us but a "good hacker" who works in the police.

Of course we don't know if it's the same Eric, but it's interesting to think about.

First time interacting with you (well anonymously anyway!) but I needed to share something about Moonvale!

I got the feeling that we will see a news report somewhere in the first episode where they will talk about the fire in the mines and/or how the FBI is still hunting the hacker that was in the fire as he successfully escaped the fire and them! As for the people who never played Duskwood it won’t really matter but to those who played it will be a hint that he is still alive and that he will contact us if we have the code !

anyway! I can’t wait for Moonvale to come out as I am playing, AGAIN, Duskwood for the nth time now.

And damn, woah, I love this idea! To be honest, I never thought about it but it could really fit. Especially since we already had a news report in Duskwood. And after that happened at the end.. I'm pretty sure there will be reports about all of it. Simply because of the old mine. Something terrible happened there before and now once again. For news it would be an amazing story.

And maybe Moonvale-only player wouldn't even have to watch it. We have to enter the code right at the beginning, so maybe it will only be shown to code-player. For us it would definitely be a great way to inform us and to got us into the side story. And to start Moonvale with a huge bang. 😌

I think it's definitely possible. And I even hope this is how it's going to be. It would be freaking exciting. *-*
