Yes, yes, there's Jake's mask behind Dan.

However, I only thought it was decoration, I mean, next to it is the big picture of Duskwood. And since they mentioned "we had visitors from duskwood (Cleo, Thomas, Dan)" I assume they just wanted to bring the Duskwood Aesthetic into the photo.

But the thought that it might be a hint is really very tempting. And whether I like it or not, my head makes theories out of it.

Moonvale first clue / theory...

Dont read if you dont wanna know!!

A few weeks ago I made a guess at what the new game would be about. I told my guess to other Duskwooders, just out of fun of course!

So... then the name announcement happened... and this...

My guess was... "what if the game is about the murders of the students." It was a post on the dark forum.

Sooo check this out...

And then this...

I couldn't help but read through Everbyte's Moonvale meets Duskwood page again, and something made me theorize further.

Naturally you are already in your next case and your new friends are counting on you. On the other hand, worrying about your old friends doesn’t just let you go either. Has something happened to them?

Duskwood is not far from Redlog Pines. Should you ask your new friends for help? Or should you go and check out the situation in Duskwood yourself?

Suddenly you get a call from an unknown number …

Now, remember about one of Everbyte's posts? When they asked if they should invite Phil to Redlog Pines one day, so we could ask him ourselves how he and his sisters are doing?

Considering the fact that we, as Duskwood players, are given a side story, and only we start with "Suddenly, you get a call from an unknown number ...", I came to the next conclusion:

We'll get a call from Phil, who got released from jail, and wanted to infrom us/ask about us. Considering all of our friends' contacts are lost, this most likely could be possible.

What happens next, is an endless possibility.

Will he help us through the case? Will we find out the Hawkins siblings are actually from Redlog Pines (considering that Jessy mentioned she didn't grow up in Duskwood)? Is Phil somehow connected to Eric and Adam? Maybe the three are childhood friends, and now that one of them dissapeared, Phil wants to keep an eye on the case? He might even try to invite us to the Aurora again, reasoning with "We could visit Redlog Pines as well, and you could look around and do your detective things."

Everbyte left us with many shady, question filled blank pages. And what else could a fandom do with these papers than not to fill them with theories?

I have a feeling that we can't except many or any updates until May 24th, so we're left alone with the clues and hints they gave us.

Any theories and suggestions, my dear friends?

Just something I've been thinking about since Duskwood finished and even more since everbyte has been posting like crazy in the lead up to the new game.

The Duskwood Unique codes and how cool it would be if the game started up asking if you've played duskwood, asks for the code yada yada. And the game screen loads up chats from duskwood. Maybe even the last customised background you chose. The usual chats and the last choices and messages you had received from *everyone*, or maybe only the important ones.

And you start off trying to message them. Trying to get in contact with your friends. Only to find the numbers blocked, or contacts erased but you maybe recognise the chats if you've played enough duskwood (we don't talk about the numerous screenshots and late nights we all have playing it okay?)

Then you get the message from an unknown number. Story kicks off from there.

Later in the story, side story kicks in. Someone from Duskwood finally gets through to you! Phil? The police chief? Jake?! Maybe... Hannah?!?! I dunno. Maybe they're asking what happened? Maybe they know what happened to our friends? Maybe it's another mystery to solve?!?!

I dunno. Just thought it would be so cool if everybyte thought of starting the game up like that for those who've played duskwood.

Anyway. Hyped to hear more news of the games progress!

Okay, I really want to know why Hannah sent mc's number to Thomas. That's not the only question I want to know answer but let's talk about that one for now.

SPOILERS

1. Did she really knew mc?

Maybe at some point of their life they knew each other and Hannah knew that mc can help??? I don't think this was possible but it's quite interesting theory.

2. Did she wanted to send Jake's or another person's number but got a few digits wrong?

In this case I guess she wanted to tell Thomas that Jake can help, but got a few digits wrong and Richy noticed it and deleted the message, but Thomas was able to read it before it got deleted.

3. Was Hannah really the one who send mc's number or it was Richy or Jake?

If it was Richy I guess he would do this to divert suspicion, but then Jake deleted the message.

Or if it was Jake why would he do this? How does he know our number? If in the past mc wasn't famous for their detective abilities then it doesn't makes sense. But if it was really him, then I think Richy was the one who deleted the message.

4. It's not that important, but I think there's a little possibility that Hannah herself deleted the message that she sent because she didn't want Richy to notice the number. But I don't think that's really what happened. That thought just appeared while I was writing all this.

5. did Hannah really want to send our number and not something else?

Maybe a location? That's a weird guess but knows, guys, who knows...

Gosh, I really hope that we will find answer to this in Moonvale.

Let me know what you think about it cuz I'm interested and seriously feel like my head going to explode from thinking. Also sorry for any mistakes, English isn't my first language :3

Moonvale's Pokemon Commentary: #699 Aurorus

The Belle of the Prehistoric age.

Just for Looks:

Remember everything I just said about Amaura? Yeah I feel 100% the same way about its evolution. The colors on both the regular and shiny forms are lovely together. The gems/ice crystals lining the sides of its body perfectly break up the solid colors. The frills are fabulous. This line is my favorite of the fossil pokemon. I love how the line between its stomach and main body form an ice crystal pattern. It’s just such a beautiful pokemon to me.

What's in the Name:

Like it's previous evolution, Aurorus/Amaruruga has its name's origins in the Amargasaurus with the English name also playing on Aurora. Though it seems that Aurorus's name barely takes from the dinosaur's. The ‘rus’ is about it.

The 'Dex Says:

Aurorus is a quiet and kind pokemon, likely because it knew no predators in its native time. That doesn't mean, however, that its a defenseless species. Those diamond shaped crystals on its body? They can expel air that can be as cold as -250 degrees Fahrenheit/-150 degrees Celsius. It can even form a wall of ice for defense instantaneously. If this pokemon doesn’t want you close to it, you’re not gonna be close to it for long. Or alive!

Also, in the Alola dex, it tells us that an Aurorus was found complete and frozen "just as it appeared long ago" in a Glacier which was a big event in the news. The wording on it makes it sound like the restored version we train might not be the exact form the species originally had. Which supports theories I've read that the rock typing all fossils share could be a side effect from being revived from fossils.

5/5. Like I said before, this is my favorite fossil pokemon line. It's elegant, its pretty, its a long neck with sweet hair.

Oh, seriously? 👀 I mean, I saw them liking comments and commenting, but with someone who addressed the topic with Jake’s make? This is quite interesting. Very interesting. I mean, we know Everbyte is good when it comes to hints. Of course, it can also be a coincidence, but it is bold. Hehe.

But, I mean, I'm pretty sure Jake will be back in Moonvale.

Why should they mention him in such an obvious way when he won’t be in Moonvale? That wouldn’t make sense to me. And if we are honest, jake is one of the biggest reasons why there is the duskwood code option. Jake was the most popular character and even though we like the others, we all wanted (needed) Jake back. In some way, jake will still be there. And nobody can change my mind. xD So I can really imagine that it is another little hint from Everbyte, just a little extra. To make the waiting a little more exciting but also more bearable.

Nevertheless, I have to mention again that it was just liked by chance because they liked a lot of comments. Even if I'm almost 100% sure Jake will be there, I don’t want to spread false hope.

But thank you very much for sharing this with the Jake comment, you never know where the next clue is. Everbyte wanted detectives, they got detectives. 🤭

While moonvale isn't enough...I have a little theory, we know that Eric Briggs is mentioned by Alan in episode 10, what if he really is part of the police but as some kind of hacker? a programmer? Alan managed to protect himself from Jake twice, so there was someone who helped him protect himself from Jake and what if it was Eric? What if he played the role of Jake in Moonvale? being a new hacker who will help us but a "good hacker" who works in the police.

Of course we don't know if it's the same Eric, but it's interesting to think about.

Ohhhh! This definitely sounds very, very interesting and very logical! Very interesting. 🤔 I mean, I can imagine, let’s say MC gets very well-known for the Duskwood case. So probably it is also known that we have cooperated with a hacker in duskwood. So, what if Eric knows about that and that's why he contacts MC because we already worked with a hacker to solve a case like this. And if it’s the same Eric that Alan mentions, then it could well be that Alan left a good word about us with Eric. 🤔 And I mean, I'm sure we will need a hacker. Otherwise it could definitely be much more difficult. Much of the information to solve Hannah’s case was obtained illegally. I'm dying to see what Jake will be like after he's confessed his feelings and been reciprocated, if he's going to be more open in conversations, I can't see a drastic change in Jake's personality, honestly MC and Jake already act like a couple, specifically married, especially when they argue, they seem to have been married for years, but I want to see how they are going to be officially, for sure who would start to put affectionate nicknames would be mc and Jake would feel ashamed but he would love it, until a time comes for him to create a nickname for MC, Jake already acts like a perfect boyfriend, he compliments in the most gentlemanly ways possible, tries to make mc comfortable at all times, understands and respects the MC's decisions even if he "Jake went offline" When he doesn't want to argue anymore, besides of course, being extremely protective, it can be an impression but Jake has a very obsessive way with who he likes, if he appears in moonvale (Please Everbyte), How will he deal with the new possible romantic interests? One thing is for sure, we will see a very very jealous Hacker stating at all times that mc is yours 🤭 Yeah, these are my thoughts while moonvale doesn't come out.

Well, to be honest, I really can’t add that much, I agree with almost everything you said.

I can’t imagine a big change in Jake’s public behavior. I don’t think he’s suddenly running around the world telling everyone he’s with MC now. xD

I think the only thing that will really show a little more that they are a couple is that Jake is really becoming more protective. And a little more affectionate, I guess he’ll agree with MC more often and pretty much always agree with what MC says. He himself will probably not really notice this but everyone else will notice it.

However, what would also be very interesting in my eyes, if Jake would suddenly withdraw. Let’s say he was sure he wouldn’t get out of the mine without being arrested. That’s why he was open to MC because he thought that either way he would never have a chance to have a relationship with MC.

But if he somehow comes free and suddenly MC is "standing opposite of him" then it could be that he backs out of fear of putting MC even further in danger.

I can’t really imagine it, I mean, he even said that he doesn’t want to fight it anymore, but I would find it very interesting.

However, I think if MC and Jake are really a couple then Jake will have to learn a lot. I mean, yeah, he often acts like a really good boyfriend, but he can also be quite an asshole and unfair. Also, in my eyes, he is often too determining and forgets that MC does not have to do everything he says. Of course, sometimes he accepted and respected MC’s decisions, but often he didn’t or wasn’t enthusiastic.

Often he behaves really great, he is sweet and as you have already said, a gentleman. But of course, the whole thing between Jake and MC is not that healthy. And I doubt that this will change immediately if MC and he are officially a couple, even if I hope so.

But I can only agree with the last part. I mean, Jake can seem pretty intimidating because of being a wanted hacker, and I’m pretty sure he’s going to make MC something untouchable for others.

We’ve said it many times in the fandom and I love the idea of it.

MC is the visible and conspicuous part of the two, the person who takes over everything that is playing in public and the one who speaks to people etc. While Jake is this big black shadow that you can’t really see unless someone gets too close to MC in some way. Most of the time you can’t see him but everyone knows that he is there and that he always sees what happens.

I can also imagine that he will never openly show MC that he is protective, or no, rather, how much protective he is. But he is. In front of MC he does not show it so much but will do some things behind MC’s back because he knows that MC would not be so enthusiastic if he goes on the offensive with others just because he is jealous, for example.

I think many possibilities vary from person to person and I think everyone will have their own way of imagining Jake in Moonvale. That’s why it makes it even more exciting to read the thoughts of others, so thank you a lot for sharing this, it´s so interesting. I love such asks very much.

There are so many possibilities and that drives me crazy, I need information, we need Moonvale. :'D

i had a theory (probably not the real plot of the game moonvale) and i was thinking a lot about it!!!

what if Jake is eric? using it as a cover and he got kidnapped because of that, and we have to find him. oh, what a beautiful reunion that would be at the end of the game. we, the mcs, saved our beloved jake. oh, what a dream!

i know, i know. it probably makes no sense and is ridiculous but let me dream! i'm wearing my pink sunglasses. 🤫

A really interesting thought, but tbh, I don’t think it will happen, but it's still a theory that would be possible. And also interesting. I know a lot of people have the theory that we might have to help save Jake from anyone. Most people think it’s the FBI, which would be logical. And it would be a really interesting plot.

But I also like your idea. Personally, I would prefer it if Jake was actually Adam and Eric a friend of Jake. I really want us to meet someone from Jake’s past / his life. Anyone who can help us learn more about Jake without it being Jake himself telling us about it.

But yes!! The end would be so lovely. It would be a bit like: Jake saved MC in Duskwood and now we saved him. And I'm sure Jake would be the most grateful person on earth. 🤭

And, no matter if theories might be possible or not. Or if the theories are a bit crazy or anything, you all can always share it. I love talking about theories. Actually, I was convinced that it was the pursuers of Jake, but that would not make sense for non-code players again. On the other hand, I think the site is more written for people who have already played Duskwood. After all, it should give us an insight. And most people will probably have played duskwood. And if not, they will probably do once they discover Moonvale.

But the text is written on the only-Moonvale website. And for duskwood related things they made the Duskwood meets moonvale site. I don't know. But what I know is that it's sounds very, very interesting.
