She’s Heaven (The Stars Don’t Compare)~ Andrei Svechnikov (part 4)
Anya bounced from one foot to the other as she stood in the parking lot of the arena with Andrei. His older brother, Evgeny, was coming to visit for a couple of days.
"Haven't see Geno forever, Andrei," she whispered, drumming her fingers along her upper thigh.
Andrei laughed as she nearly slammed into him and grabbed her arms so she wouldn't fall.
"Easy there, sunshine. Don't need you hurting yourself."
He, too, was excited to see his older brother. Last he heard, Evgeny was playing in San Jose. They didn't talk as often as they used too, but they still kept in contact thanks to Anya.
A black Silverado pulled into the lot and Anya's feet began to bounce faster, a big grin etching on her face.
"He's here!!"
Evgeny waved at the pair of them, unable to stop from smiling. How he missed his little brother and the girl who he looked at as a younger sister.
"привет младший брат!!*"
Andrei grinned and pulled his brother into a man hug, which ended in their secret handshake.
"Geno! You need to call more often," Andrei pouted, crossing his arms and pretending to look unhappy.
Evgeny scoffed and pushed his brother aside.
"Don't act like you're not happy to see me, Drei."
Andrei only rolled his eyes and walked back to the car, but his annoyance was only in play. This is how their teasing usually went. It was a sibling thing.
Anya took the opportunity to jump into Evgeny's arms, giggling when he caught her.
"Geno! Andrei is right, you do need to visit more often."
Evgeny chuckled and placed a brotherly kiss to the top of her head.
"I suppose you're right, Anya. I do miss both of you."
He wrapped his arm around Anya's shoulders and dropped his voice to a whisper so Andrei couldn't hear.
"I know your feelings for him, Anya."
Anya's cheeks reddened and she looked down at the cement under her feet. She knew she wouldn't have been able to hid her feelings from Evgeny.
"Was it that obvious?"
Evgeny blew out a sigh and nodded.
"Yes, Anya. I think you'd be perfect for him."
Anya's eyes flickered upward to catch Evgeny's and her mouth twitched at the sides. Evgeny had been one of her biggest supporters and she knew he wouldn't say anything which wasn't true.
"I might talk to him later today," she whispered as they followed Andrei into the restaurant.
Evgeny's smile and his hand ruffling her hair was all the encouragement she needed.
A/N: привет младший брат= hi little brother
