I'll grant that ResetEra posters occasionally make good points about representation and offensive content in Japanese games, but they make those points in the most generalizing, facile, ignorant, and xenophobic ways possible. They don't deserve any benefit of the doubt. ResetEra is full of closet racists who are too blinkered by their own self-righteous fauxgressivism to realize just how fucking racist they are.

speaking of rian and adam's chest - for all their pontification about how pure and progressive and leftier-than-thou they are, antis sure went hard for the homophobic bs in how they talk about that, no? like, rian is a professional and wouldn't just do that. but the deeper implication that him expressing appreciation for another man's beauty is somehow diminishing or gross is just... like, wow, way to show how skin deep that fauxgressivism is, antis!
