Okay last one I Promise but same anon who was watching the anguish video and a scene where Riza almost dies???? was at the almost-end of it and Roy is Not Okay and I think I have to watch or read FMAB now. BUT ALSO Fionn or Diarmuid thinking the other is almost dead/seeing the other almost die [or actually die, s o r r y Fionn fghvg] is now seared into my brain and yes I very much get why you call FionnDiar mythos Royai bcus im DYING HERE

Honestly I recommend doing both reading and watching it depending on what mood you're in! The dub is super good as you have now heard and a lot of us prefer it to the sub even though that's amazing too so like. If you just wanna sit back and enjoy a good show go for the anime but if you'd rather read the manga which is 100+ chapters at your own pace go for that instead!

FMA is one of my favourite series ever and Royai is a big reason for why but I will say that the Brotherhood anime kinda speeds through the first couple mini arcs since they assume you've either read the manga or watched the 2003 anime which went off its own course after those first couple arcs (still really good as a standalone though) but even with that the pacing is still somehow fantastic and the soundtrack is unbeatable

As for the FionnDiar death stuff...haha. Well lets just say I've got a lot of variations for those scenarios that I've written down over time and each I've probably become an expert at FionnDiar death angst by now whoops
