PTI Başkanı Imran Khan bu tarihsiz fotoğrafta halka açık bir görüşmede konuşuyor. — AFP/Dosya İSLAMABAD: Baş Yargıç İslamabad Yüksek Mahkemesi (IHC) Aamer Farooq Cuma günü Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Başkanı Imran Khan'ın kefaletle özgür bırakılması ve gizyazı davasındaki ilk informasyon raporunun (FIR) iptali yönündeki dilekçelerini reddetti.IHC baş yargıcı, her iki tarafın argümanlarını dinledikten sonrasında 16 Ekim'e ertelenen sonucu bugün deklare etti. Gizyazı, Pakistan'ın eski ABD büyükelçisi Majeed'in Lu ile görüşmesiyle ilgiliydi.

Pakistani court issues non-bailable arrest warrants for Imran Khan over May 9 violence
Lahore police on May 10 registered two FIRs against Khan and other Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI ) party leaders on charges of attacking and torching a ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) party office and a container.
Tumblr media
A Pakistani court on Tuesday issued non-bailable warrants for the arrest of former prime minister Imran Khan in two cases related to arson attacks during the May 9 violence which erupted following his arrest in a corruption case.
Lahore police on May 10 registered two FIRs against Khan and other Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI ) party leaders on charges of attacking and torching a ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) party office and a container.
“Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Lahore judge Abher Gul Khan on Tuesday issued non-bailable warrants for the arrest of PTI chairman Imran Khan and six other leaders of his party in two cases of arson attacks,” a court official told PTI.
He said police might arrest the former-cricketer-turned politician and produce him before the court in these cases.
A source in the Punjab government told PTI that no direction had come from the “top” (a reference to the powerful military establishment) as yet to nab the former premier after the issuance of arrest warrants against him.
Other PTI leaders whose non-bailable arrest warrants have been issued include Khan’s nephew Hassaan Niazi, former federal ministers Hammad Azhar, Murad Saeed and Jamshed Iqbal Cheema, former provincial cabinet members Musarrat Cheema and Mian Aslam Iqbal.
Khan, in a tweet on Tuesday, questioned why no investigation of attacks on the military and state installations had been carried out yet.
“Question that needs to be asked is, how come there is no investigation so far on 16 unarmed protesters confirmed shot dead by our security forces (while no policeman was injured by any bullets),” he said.
“Three of the unarmed protesters, because of bullet wounds, had to have their legs amputated while nine others who are suspected to have died, we have no news as their relatives are either underground or too scared of the police to speak out,” Khan added.
The 70-year-old PTI chief further said that a thorough probe would have been held by now, and the government held accountable in any society ruled by law.
“There has been no independent investigation even on the arson that took place on the 9th of May as the government is busy using that as a pretext to dismantle Pakistan’s biggest political party,” he alleged.
Widespread violence erupted in Pakistan after Khan was arrested by paramilitary personnel inside the Islamabad High Court on May 9. He was later released on bail.
Over 20 military installations and state buildings, including military headquarters in Rawalpindi, were damaged or torched in the violent protests that followed Khan’s arrest.
According to PTI, law enforcement agencies arrested over 10,000 party workers across Pakistan, mostly from Punjab.
Khan, the cricketer-turned-politician, was ousted from power after losing a no-confidence vote in his leadership, which he alleged was part of a US-led conspiracy targeting him for his independent foreign policy on Russia, China and Afghanistan.

Pakistan: Joint Investigation Team summons Imran Khan for May 9 attack on Jinnah
A large number of PTI party workers May 9 stormed the Jinnah House and set it on fire after vandalising it.
Tumblr media
A joint investigation team probing the violent attack on the historic Corps Commander House or the Jinnah House here on May 9 has summoned former Pakistan prime minister Imran Khan on Tuesday.
Khan, the chief of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, has been asked to appear before the JIT at 4 pm at the Qilla Gujjar police headquarters in Lahore. He has been called for questioning in a case registered with the Sarwar Road police station against the attack.
Jinnah House (Corps Commander House) was torched by arsonists following the anti-government protests against the arrest of former prime minister Khan on May 9.
A large number of PTI party workers May 9 stormed the Jinnah House and set it on fire after vandalising it.
A joint investigation team (JIT) — formed by the Punjab interim government to probe arson attacks on Jinnah House and the Askari Corporate Tower in Lahore on May 9 — summoned Khan on Tuesday, sources were quoted as saying by the Geo News.
Khan’s arrest sparked days of street protests after which the PTI leaders’ exodus started, as security forces launched a crackdown against the party following the attacks on civil and military institutions.
At least eight people were killed in the violent protests in the country.
The violent protesters torched a static plane in the Mianwali district of Punjab, the hometown of Khan and attacked the ISI building in Faisalabad.
The mob stormed the Army headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi for the first time. According to police over a dozen military installations were vandalised or torched during the two-day violent protests.
The JIT headed by Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Kamran Adil has asked the former prime minister — who was removed from office via a vote of no-confidence in April last year — to appear before the probe body at 4 pm.
The JIT will grill Khan in connection with the May 9 riots. The Punjab Home Department has constituted 10 different JITs to probe into the attacks and violent protests on May 9, which the army dubbed “Black Day”.
The deposed prime minister was nominated in several FIRs lodged at different police stations in the province, the report added.
After receiving the notice from the JIT, Khan consulted with his legal team but it could not be decided yet whether the PTI chairman will appear before the probe body or not, the report added.

Pakistan's former Prime Minister Imran Khan gets bail in mutiny case
Manzoor Ahmed Khan, a magistrate, earlier this month filed a first information report (FIR) at Islamabad’s Ramna police station against the ousted prime minister for “spreading hatred between the institutions and the public” and for “trying to cause unforgivable damage to the institutions and their top officers”.
Tumblr media
A top court here on Friday granted protective bail till May 3 to Imran Khan in a mutiny case registered against the former Pakistan prime minister.
The FIR was registered under Sections 138 (abetment of the act of insubordination by soldier, sailor or airman), Section 500 (punishment for defamation), and Section 505 (statements conducing to public mischief) of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).
The FIR stated that the cricketer-turned-politician in a speech from his Zaman Park residence in Lahore on March 19 made several allegations against a senior officer of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and allegedly conducted a “character assassination”.
Khan earlier today filed for bail in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) where Chief Justice Aamer Farooq after hearing the case approved his bail against surety bonds of Rs 100,000.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief travelled from Lahore to Islamabad for the case, where the police had taken stringent measures for his protection.
A large number of PTI supporters were present on the occasion to show solidarity with their leader.
The 70-year-old PTI leader tweeted that Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) police had taken his peaceful workers into custody.
“Our workers were sitting in their vehicles peacefully when ICT police, in a brazen display of state oppression, pulled them out and took them away. This is why they want elections to be delayed because they feel they can break the PTI by then, through fear of jail and harassment. Won’t work,” he tweeted.
The Dawn newspaper reported that in an informal chat with journalists inside the courtroom, Khan stated that he had requested Fawad Chaudhry and Shah Mehmood Qureshi to initiate talks with the government only if the ruling party was prepared to immediately dissolve the assemblies and hold elections.
“There’s no need to proceed if they insist on holding polls in September or October,” Khan said in the presence of both Chaudhry and Qureshi.
Qureshi and Chaudhry are part of a three-member PTI team holding talks with the government to resolve the controversy over the holding of the elections.
The PTI is determined to press for polls in the provincial legislatures, but the federal government in Islamabad maintains its stance on simultaneous elections across the country.
The National Assembly will complete its five-year term in August this year. According to the Constitution, elections shall be held within 90 days after the dissolution of the lower house. This means that the election must be held by mid-October. The last general election was held in July 2018.

"Either Imran Khan Will Get Murdered Or...": Pak Minister's Shocker
The remarks of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) (PML-N) senior leader, who is very close to former premier Nawaz Sharif, sparked an outcry among the political circles especially Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf.
Tumblr media
Lahore: In a startling remark, Pakistan's Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has termed ousted prime minister Imran Khan 'enemy' of the ruling PML-N saying he has taken the country's politics to a point where either "he (Imran) will get murdered or us".
The remarks of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) (PML-N) senior leader, who is very close to former premier Nawaz Sharif, sparked an outcry among the political circles especially Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf.
Imran Khan, after surviving a gun attack on him during a rally in Wazirabad, Punjab in November last year, named Rana Sanaullah behind the assassination attempt on him. Imran Khan, 70, also mentioned the names of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and a senior ISI officer in an application for FIR for their role in the murder plot.
In an interview to a couple of private TV channels on Sunday, Sanaullah said: "Either Imran Khan or us will get murdered. He has now taken the country's politics to a point where only one of the two can remain -- PTI or PMLN. PMLN's entire existence is in jeopardy and we will go to any extent against him to settle a score with him. Imran Khan has turned politics into enmity. Imran Khan is now our enemy and he will be treated like that," Sanaullah declared.
Asked if such remarks could result in anarchy in Pakistan, the minister said: "Anarchy already prevails in Pakistan." Reacting strongly to Rana Sanaullah's statement, PTI leader and former federal information minister Fawad Chaudhry said: "This is a direct life threat to Imran Khan from the PMLN coalition government." "Is Sanaullah running a gang or government? The Supreme Court had rightly declared Sharifs-led PMLN a Sicilian mafia and his statement is evidence of it," he said.
The PTI has also urged the SC to take notice of this as it is an open threat to Imran Khan's life.
"If anyone has any doubts about Rana Sanaullah's murderous intent towards Imran Khan. This is a direct threat given by the cabal of crooks' interior minister. The judiciary should take note," PTI senior leader and former minister Shireen Mazari said in a tweet.
The PTI said it has never witnessed in the past that a ruling party openly declared eliminating a popular leader of Pakistan.
